This class was by far one of our highlights during our trip to Cambodia. The food we cooked was one of the best meals we had and was such a treat to be shown how to make it from scratch. We had the class to ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed the process! You get a trip to the old market which was fascinating to see all the different ingredients. Would highly recommend doing this class whilst in siem reap!

Great class! We did a quick tour of the food market asking lots of questions. Then back to the classroom where we chose three dishes. The class was well organized with portions and ingredients ready. Our Chef was lovely and personable providing great direction.

With a hotel pick-up (but not return) the venue was easy to get to. The market trip was enjoyable and the preparation/cooking was great fun. Everyone concerned was friendly and fun and our small group all made great food - and there was plenty of it! A really enjoyable evening. Oh, gluten and vegetarian options are catered for.

Narong was a wonderful teacher, patient, knowledgeable. Enjoyed going to the market and then choosing what we wanted to cook. The cooking space was clean and spacious with fans. It was fun and we impressed ourselves with how delicious it was. Narong added beautiful finishing touch.

Very organized fun class. Food was tasty and simple to make. Stainless kitchen, very clean. Our teacher was spot on.

Enjoyed having a look around the old market and afterwards cooking the Cambodian traditional amoc, fried spring roll and dessert. The teacher was experienced, kind and helpful and the food was excellent.

Great experience with lovely helpful staff guiding through how to make your chosen meal. No cooking experience necessary.

Cooking up a Khmer meal under the guidance of Narong was a lot of fun, she made it easy with her direction and the meal tasted great! Highly recommend .

Unfortunately we left this to our last night, we should have done it earlier in our trip. The walk through the market made the markets less intimidating. The recipes were authentic and the class very enjoyable. Hot tip.... Don't eat lunch. There was so much food and it all very delicious. We made the salad, spring rolls, red curry, beef lol lak, sticky rice and little ball things. This is the meal we should have had early in our trip so that we had a better idea about what to eat for the rest of our time here. I can't rave enough about this class, get on it!

Chef Narong is patient and knowledgeable. She communicates in English as good as I do! I do not cook at home. I ruin everything in the kitchen. She taught me to cook 3 delicious dishes. It was fun, easy and successful!

This was such a treat, I rather enjoyed the visit to the street market and the recipes were delicious. I enjoyed all the food I tried on my trip to Cambodia but hands down this meal was the best. Fresh ingredients, easy instructions and a knowledgeable chef to teach us with over 10 years of experience! She’s a true talent and very kind host.

I loved this class so much!! Narong took me to the market first to show me the herbs and spices and other food we were going to use before coming back and showing me at every step how to cook, even basic stuff. She was so patient despite me not feeling halfway and having to sit down quite a bit and since I ended up being alone, she helped me out a lot throughout. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS and there was so much to eat but I was so hungry from cooking that I ate it all. The location is just next to pub street and all the markets to so afterwards you can just go around and shop for a bit. Lovely experience and 100% would recommend to do this if you are in Siem Reap.

Baring and her helper were amazing and made so much delicious food so be sure to go hungry. The food was also beautifully plated and we would definitely recommend this for learning new recipes as well as having a wonderful meal :)

Very well organized and staff were fluent in English. We each had our own cooking stations. Choices as to what we cooked and it was all very delicious.

Wonderful experience at the Khmer cooking class. I booked it last minute, but it turned out to be the highlight. Easy to book and communicate, got picked up at my hotel right on time. The kitchen is a part of a restaurant and is located right in the city. You get to choose 1 appetiser, 1 mains and 1 dessert that you’d want to cook and eat. Then the chef takes you to the local food and wet markets. Once back, we get to our stations and start cooking from scratch. It’s fun and easy to follow instructions. The chef guides you throughout and at the end of 3hrs, you are ready to devour the good food. You will also be awarded with a certificate at the end. Definitely recommended

We booked this last minute as the restaurant we chose said they would take walk-ins but didn't end up accepting us when we arrived. We were initially unsure about Khmer Gourmet as we didn't know where it Siem Reap it would be held. We took a chance and it did not disappoint! It turned out so much better that our first option as we got to make more dishes for a similar price.
We were picked up via tuk tuk from our hotel and brought to the site of Crep'Italy for our cooking class, located in Pub Street area. Narong, our chef had a kind and gentle spirit. You could see that she loved what she did. When we arrived we chose our starter, main and dessert- we could choose different ones. Then she took us around the market and introduced us to the local produce. When we got upstairs to the kitchen, the area was clean and ingredients were prepped. We were given aprons and chef hats. Narong was a great teacher, modelling what to do and explaining the ingredients and method. We had a blast making fresh and fried spring rolls, chicken amok, beef lok lak, banana flambe and mango sticky rice. It was so much food that we could not finish it. We were presented with a personalised certificate at the end with a link to the recipes. I highly recommend this cooking class. Just watch out for the stairs as it is a little steep!

The visit to the market was interesting and the class was good. My guide spoke very good English and the food was great. However, as soon as the class was over, I was informed that a the trip back to the hotel was not included in the price. That is completely fine, and I was offered the option to find a ride myself or the guide would order a tuk tuk, which I chose. A few minutes later when I inquired about my ride, I was made to feel like a nuisance. Like she couldn't understand why I couldn't just get my own ride, when I reminded her of our conversation and her offering to order a tuk tuk, she relented and finally did it. While I waited I was made to feel very uncomfortable. As a solo female traveler, I believe women should support one another, not be made to feel less than. There are many other cooking classes to choose from, I wish I would have chosen differently.

I really enjoyed this opportunity to learn to cook local dishes from scratch and the tour of the market was really interesting. The kitchen was very clean and ingredients fresh.

I had such a wonderful time with this cooking lesson! Our teacher was terrific and I met some wonderful people, not to mention that the food was DELICIOUS! I recommend taking a cooking class. It is a lovely way to enjoy a culture and to learn about how local foods are made. I really enjoyed going to the market to learn about the spices and produce that would be going into my food.

Fun night out learning about different dishes and how to cook Cambodian dishes. Some downsides were that is was extremely hot in the classroom/kitchen, fans and A/C were broke. Only got to take turns with 2-4 other people when cooking. Didn’t get my own station or get to make the meal from start to finish. Bugs landing/crawling in food.
Lena_W, Nov 2023
It was a very nice cooking class. We went first to market and got a lot of information about the ingredients we were using in our class.
The food was delicious and the teacher super nice and friendly!

Has such a great time and the food turned out great! There were excellent options to choose from and it was so much food I couldn’t finish it all. The explanations about the ingredients were great as well. So glad I choose this class!

BOOK HERE! We booked this class after another class we booked through Viator messaged me saying they had to cancel because there were not enough people to make it worth their time. Glad that happened because this class was awesome! We booked at the last minute and our ride to Khmer Cooking Class was waiting at our hotel before we even made it back. Great people and food. This class is right in the city which saves valuable time. Khmer valued our business and ran the class with just me and my wife. Highly recommend.

I was the only person on this class, so I had an unexpected private class. The stroll through the nearby market (Old Market) prepared my senses for the cooking experience. The teacher was great and explained everything well, in good English. It was easy to follow and whenever help was needed the teacher was at hand. In the end I could enjoy a delicious 3 course menu. I had plenty to eat and was really full after eating it. I fully recommend it!
Fanny_S, Apr 2023
Great cooking class! Easy to follow the instructions, both of us got to choose our main course and desert, and the food was delicious! Would recommend!
