Itinerary

Your tour begins with pick-up from your central Siem Reap hotel by private air-conditioned vehicle. After the short journey to Angkor and paying your entrance to the park (not included in tour price), get your camera ready for the star attraction – the mighty Angkor Wat.

Jump out to explore the most famous of all the temples, as your guide sets the scene, telling the story of the great Khmer Empire, and pointing out architectural highlights such as the exquisite bas reliefs and asparas. Before you continue, be sure to pose for a photo before the temple’s magnificent façade.

Hear how the Angkor temples are spread over an incredible 155 square miles (400 sq km), as you travel to another of the most visited sites – the ancient walled city of Angkor Thom. Stand in awe before the massive South Gate, flanked by statues of gods and demons, as your guide introduces the last-known capital of the Khmer Empire.

Within the city walls, take time to visit the Bayan temple, the much-photographed Terrace of the Elephants, and the Terrace of the Leper King, used as a viewing platform and a royal cremation site by Angkor King Jayavarman VII.

After a break for lunch (own expense), continue your tour with a visit to the striking Banteay Kdei temple. The last stop of the day is Ta Prohm, nicknamed the ‘jungle temple’ thanks to the twisted trees that have grown amid the atmospheric ruins.

Finally, treat yourself to a relaxing 1-hour Khmer massage before being dropped back at your hotel – the perfect end to a busy day of sightseeing.
