The boat trip was excellent, especially being in the private VIP section. Then the Thai restaurant experience was superb; the food was amazing and service excellent. Quenie, our guide, made sure we were taken care of at all times and was very knowledgeable about Shanghai.

Perfect evening on the river with dinner

This excursion was lovely, especially, especially that I was traveling alone and felt well. Taken care of and safe. Alana provided excellent communication and a new exactly what to expect. Judy was a fantastic tour guide, her English was perfect and she was the perfect guide that Aladdin to experience the tour but certainly gave me the added touch of history and as much information as I wanted.. The driver was with the entire evening, making sure that we’re safe and getting to our different points. The boat ride was phenomenal, the lighting extraordinary. The dinner was very good and too much food lol. I highly recommend this tour to anyone, but especially if you’re concerned and traveling alone. Big thank you to Judy and Alana.

Starry Night on Huangpu River

This was our third day in Shanghai, and it had been raining. We were worried about a rain washout for our river cruise. Luckily the weather held up for the trip. It was only when we got back to the hotel that it started raining again. We were pleasantly surprised by the arrangement. Previously, we had taken trips with more than 50 people who had to be picked up from different hotels. On this occasion, the trip was solely for our group of four persons. The evening began with a pickup from our Pudong hotel. We were taken to the pier where the guide Jane jumped on. She had gone to the pier to purchase the tickets beforehand in order to guarantee our seats. We were taken to a Thai restaurant. Jane asked us repeatedly whether we were okay with Thai food. Of course we were. Whereas our other trips often have mandated menus, we were free to order whatever we wanted. We rated the Thai restaurant was better than average as compared to the other Thai-food restaurants that we have been to in Southeast Asia (Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, etc). After the meal, we were taken to the pier for the river cruise. Jane asked us to take a seat while she checked for boarding. When ready, she signalled us to go forward. Once we got on the cruise, Jane upgraded us to the VIP section in front of the boat so that we can have an unobstructed view. We have taken many river cruises before (in Hong Kong, Singapore, New York City, San Francisco, Paris, Miami, Vancouver, Sydney, etc) but nothing compares with Shanghai. This was a simple out-and-back route, hugging the shore to make sure that both Pudong and Puxi are viewed in close. Pudong featured the new skyscrapers while Puxi featured the old Pudong buildings, all lit up for the river cruises. We enjoy this trip tremendously. Thank you Jane!

One of the highlights of the trip, Just glad we had our passports with us you need them to get on the River Cruise. Berlin did a great job on time, dinner was very good and got us right in to the VIP area on the cruise
