We had good time but felt abit rush… The car is very modern and nice, driver is very nice and friendly. Dinner felt like a normal one notthing special … Cruise is cruise notthing you can change. The rooftop bar has nice view… The tourguid is very nice.. I had no complaints about the driver and tourguid but Honestly, For almost $400 is not worth it.. I can totally had a very nice dinner at the one of the best restaurants and take the separate normal cruise.

This experience was the perfect way to enjoy a night out in Shanghai! From the start, everything was seamless — hotel pickup and drop-off made it completely stress-free. The dinner was delicious and set the tone for a wonderful evening. The Huangpu River cruise was absolutely stunning; gliding past Shanghai’s glittering skyline and iconic landmarks at night was unforgettable. We really appreciated being able to choose whether to have dinner before or after the cruise, which made the evening feel very flexible and relaxed. We also added the rooftop bar stop, and it was the perfect finale — sipping a complimentary drink while looking out over the city lights was magical. Overall, our tour guide Sunny took great care of us! This tour combines great food, breathtaking views, and a smooth, well-organized experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Shanghai!

A fantastic experience from start to finish. Sunny was on the ball and added a personal touch. Our guide, Roy was knowledgeable and pleasant and was fluent in English. The cruise was a little crowded but the scenery and sites were amazing and since we did this in the night, the lights and energy were very vibrant and beautiful. The dinner too was great. An authentic Shanghai dinner with every meat you could ask for, on the menu. Very tasty and a clean and lovely place. The bar too was nice and the view from the rooftop was breathtaking. All in all, I can highly recommend this tour.

Calvin was so knowledgeable about modern and history subjects. All of our questions were answered and we had a nice time. He took us to a traditional Shanghainese restaurant and it was easily some of the best food we’ve ever eaten

We loved this experience - our tour guide Shirley was very knowledgeable of all the buildings along the Bund and the history of Shanghai. Shirley went out of her way to make sure we had a good time and we had a lovely dinner together at the conclusion of the cruise. We were looked after the entire time, and the driver was also friendly and accommodating.

We had a great experience with both organising the tour with Sunny and with Kalvin our guide. He was very friendly and knowlegable, we had a nice meal and learnt all about Shanghai and its people. The views on the cruise are amazing and the drink at the bar overlooking the river was a perfect end to the night. Would highly reccomend this tour!

Excellent experience - Shanghai Authentic Dinner and Night River Cruise (2024 March 04)

The driver arrived early and picked up us from our hotel at Qiantan (the outskirt of Shanghai). After 20 minutes’ drive into the city, we were greeted with our tour guide, Mason who spoke very good English. Mason gave us an introduction of Shanghai while we were waiting for the cruise boat. There were a lot of internal Chinese tourists, expect crowd everywhere in China. Mason helped us navigating through the over-crowed queues and got onto the cruise boat. Despite the very poor weather with rain and wind, we still managed to see the beautiful Shanghai night sense. It is worth the trip. Manson was really helpful explaining the major landmarks. After the 45 minutes cruise, Mason took us to a real authentic Shanghai Restaurant for dinner, tasty Peking Duck and Shanghai dumplings. No need to worry about the menu if you do not know Chinese, Mason will do all the ordering for you. After dinner, Mason and the driver took us back to the hotel. Very good first day in Shanghai, thanks to Mason. If you are new to Shanghai, definitely recommend you use a tour guide for your trip. Enjoyable tour with Sunny Tour and Mason, being well looked after with a 5-start treatment. Thank you.

A most memorable evening in several respects

Booked this (just dinner and cruise, no bar-hopping) on short notice as we had enjoyed another tour with this operator the day before very much. Our previous guide wasn‘t available though so this time Leo accompanied us on our tour where we had dinner at a local restaurant near to our hotel first so we had to walk there. Contrary to what was announced beforehand, Leo didn‘t help us order our dishes but informed us about a pre-ordered meal and left us as soon as we were seated in order to give us more privacy because we had invited a guest. The restaurant though was a big disappointment - the service was abysmal, bordering on unfriendly (we were largely ignored and had to repeatedly ask for a waiter so that we could get some drinks and rice etc - we were told rather harshly that neither orange juice nor coke were available but weren‘t told what we could order instead, so we were quite astonished when they finally did bring us two glasses of orange juice) , the dishes not to our liking and not even very tasty (about half was left although the portions were rather small and we really don‘t like to waste food) and we even had to pay for our juices as we were about to leave, although dinner was included in the tour. We left not hungry, but not satisfied either, and a little embarrassed to have invited our guest to such a place. The following river cruise part was very nice for my husband and me who got to enjoy the cruise standing on the open upper deck with Leo who immediately led us to the best spot for sightseeing, pointed out and explained the sights to us in fluent German and even added some interesting photos and facts about other aspects of Shanghai. Frankly, we had a blast and my husband still raves about it. My elderly mother though who couldn’t climb the stairs and stand the whole time and our guest were left downstairs to sit at a table which was ok in itself, but they couldn‘t enjoy anything because the interior was brightly lit and the reflections in the windows prevented any sights. Unfortunately, there wasn‘t any staff to ask to dim or better yet switch off the lights (there was no service for drinks or snacks anyway, and no restrooms to visit so people just sat at the tables for the duration of the cruise) so my mother would have appreciated Leo to come and see whether she or our guest needed anything, but even at the end of the cruise when they had to get up and leave the boat, he didn‘t go and check on them. The boat itself was plain but clean - there are perhaps nicer and more comfortable ships doing river cruises, but as the sights on the Bund and Pudong are the main attractions, we found it well worth our money and time IF ONE IS ABLE TO STAND ON THE UPPER DECK AND THE WEATHER IS FINE. As our tour guide was so informative and entertaining, we would do the tour again in a heartbeat (under the condition to find another restaurant and perhaps to have a say in choosing our meal) and recommend the tour to anyone not being disabled under the above conditions as well. The tour operator also seemed genuinely interested in our opinion and when we told her about our restaurant experience I felt she was truly affected so she even very generously offered to give us a free ride to the airport on our way back home which we declined. All in all, we found their service commendable and are very glad we did this tour as we would have missed a wonderful and most enjoyable experience.

Shanghai from an unique different view

Sunny was a great tourguide on our private trip with useful insights and hidden information about Shanghai. She made our little night journey really special with a local Chinese great restaurant which we would have never find out and a bar on top of the city with great DJ music and an amazing view along the river and night skyline. Would always book it again with her.

Lily was an absolute delight. She was very knowledgeable, courteous, thoughtful and fun. She took us to a restaurant used by locals and the food was fantastic. The night river cruise was a wonderful way to take in the lights of the river and not too long (45 mins). We would love to have gone bar hopping but we were too tired (& old). Everything is done for you from hotel pick up to return, no stress.

The tour was wonderful. We knew it would be fun, but it really exceeded our expectations! Sunny was the guide for our party of 2 couples, and she was friendly, charming, and spoke excellent English. Her cheerful and and confident manner put us at ease right away. Sunny took us to an excellent, authentic restaurant that we would have never found on our own. (Really we expected just a normal tourist meal but this was fantastic!) The boat tour was very exciting. Sunny took great care of us the entire night, and taught us a lot about Shanghai. Definitely recommend highly!
