A great workshop! Very well organized, with a mix of history, practice, and tasting. Extremely interesting: Max is engaging, passionate, and kind.

Thank you so much for the fantastic review! I’m thrilled to hear that you found the workshop well-organized and engaging. My goal is always to blend the history, practice, and tasting into a seamless experience where everyone feels involved. I’m so glad that my passion for tea came through and that you found the session interesting.

      I had a fantastic time...

      Leah_S, Mar 2026
I had a fantastic time learning all about Chinese tea and getting to try it. The setting in a tea house that is not designed for tourists was perfect and it really felt like an authentic experience that Max was sharing with me and allowing me insight into the real Shanghai. The green tea was a revelation, if you think you've ever had green tea before in Europe you haven't, please try it here.

      Response from Host, Apr 2026

Dear Leah, thank you for sharing your “fantastic time” with us—your words made my day! I’m beyond thrilled that the non-touristy teahouse setting gave you that “real Shanghai” feeling, and that the green tea was such a revelation. For me, tea isn’t just a drink; it’s a doorway to stories, traditions, and the quiet soul of the city. I love that you felt invited into that world, not just as a visitor, but as someone who could truly taste and understand its depth. Come back anytime—there’s always another tea, another story, waiting to be shared.
