Mediocre food for an exorbitant high price.
The menu shows that tax and service fee will be added. This is common in Bali. However, the tax percentage isn't specified. Government tax is always 10% but service fee is made up by each restaurant and can be any amount from 5% to 11% and even more.
However, people should eat here to financially support a disadvantaged community.
Unfortunately, the concept of this place with it's dragshow doesn't make sense and is hugely insulting for disadvantaged as well as queer people.
The dragshow is for the deaf and queer community. My goodness, why is the queer community compared with deaf people and disadvantaged people?
Deaf and blind people are disadvantaged, not the queer people.
Queer people are not disabled. They have the same capabilities as straight people. That they have a preference for the same gender doesn't make them disadvantaged.
It's hugely insulting to compare queer people with disadvantaged people.
The dragshow starts with a deaf lady and in the restaurant work deaf people. It's great to give these people the same opportunities as other people.
However, then the dragshow continues with three males dressed in female outfit. This has nothing to do with deaf and disadvantaged people.
Moreover, it's not made clear what disadvantaged community is financially supported.
It seems that the profit from the restaurant and dragshow simply is for the owner of this place.
Visitors eat here and come to the dragshow to financially support the deaf and queer community. What organisation is supported??? No mention of any organisation is made!
It's great to financially support disadvantaged communities as they have less opportunities in life, but why should the queer community be financially supported.
To show the world that queer and straight people should be treated in the same way, and hence, to show respect for all human beings is great.
But people with the same capabilities as anybody can support their own life. So, there's no reason to financially support queer people unless they are deaf, blind or in other ways disabled!

Hi Ronald,
Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We appreciate that you recognized the importance of creating employment opportunities for Deaf people, and we would also like to clarify several points about what Inklusiv Warung represents.
First, being queer is not a disability, and we have never intended to present it as one. Our Deaf employment initiative and our support for queer expression are two different parts of our commitment to inclusion.
For our Deaf team members, inclusion means creating meaningful employment opportunities and a workplace where communication differences do not become a barrier to participation.
Our drag performances serve a different purpose. They are a form of entertainment, creativity, and self-expression that helps create a space where people can feel welcome regardless of their identity or background. The presence of Deaf team members and drag performers within the same venue is therefore not intended to suggest that these communities are the same or face the same circumstances.
We also appreciate your questions regarding financial support. We agree that communication around this should be clear and specific. Inklusiv Warung is a social enterprise and operating business, rather than a fundraising event where all restaurant or show proceeds are donated to an external organisation. Our social impact is primarily created through the employment opportunities, working environment, and platform for inclusion that we provide directly through the business.
Regarding pricing, tax, and service charges, we also appreciate the feedback. Any applicable tax and service charge should be communicated transparently to guests, and we will review how this information is presented on our menu to make sure it is sufficiently clear. We are also sorry to hear that the food did not meet your expectations.
We respect that our concept may not resonate with everyone. However, we hope this clarification helps explain that our intention is not to categorise different communities together, but to create a place where different people can work, perform, visit, and participate with dignity and respect.
Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to clarify what Inklusiv Warung stands for.
I booked this as a little solo night out in Canggu through Viator. With the discount, I was only out about $5, so let me establish that upfront: for $5, I definitely got a story. 😂
One thing I would clarify for future guests: the booking is advertised as a drag show with dinner, but dinner is NOT included. The “dinner” portion of the experience is actually a drink. If you are expecting a meal, you will need to purchase food separately. That was not what I understood from the booking description.
The venue is upstairs and has an interesting concept. They employ deaf staff and incorporate ASL into the experience by teaching guests the alphabet, asking where you’re from, and teaching a few basic statements. I thought that was genuinely thoughtful and appreciated seeing a venue intentionally creating employment opportunities for deaf employees.
Now for the plot twist: I was the ONLY guest. 😂
Not the only solo traveler. Not the only person sitting by myself. The entire audience was me.
So naturally, all of the guest participation was directed at me. 😂 I was learning the ASL alphabet, answering where I was from, learning basic statements, etc. It was fine, but being the sole audience member made the whole thing feel a little unusual. At one point I had to laugh because there was literally no one else for them to interact with.
The promotional screen showed what appeared to be four performers, but during my visit I only saw two. The show itself was okay, but with only two performers and one audience member, the atmosphere was understandably different from what I expected when I booked a dinner-and-drag-show experience.
Then came happy hour: BOGO drinks.
Of course I participated. 😂 I ordered two drinks with Canggu-themed names, but unfortunately neither was good. They also didn’t seem to taste like they were made from the same recipe, so that part was a miss for me.
And then came the finale.
Suddenly, a group appeared who seemed to already know the entertainers, and everyone ended up onstage together for a YMCA finale. 😂 At that point, the whole evening took on the feeling of watching a group of friends have their own little celebration.
Was it the big Canggu night out I envisioned? No.
Was it memorable? Absolutely.
I appreciated the venue’s commitment to employing deaf staff and introducing guests to basic ASL, and I also appreciated getting to experience something completely different while traveling solo.
Would I book it again as a solo traveler? Probably not.
But considering I paid around $5, I can’t complain too much. I got out of the villa, had a few laughs, experienced something different, and now I have a pretty funny travel story.
Final verdict: an inexpensive, unusual little adventure—but chile, I could have just villa’d. 😂

Hi Tamika,
Thank you for sharing such a detailed and entertaining review of your experience with us. We’re glad that, despite the circumstances, you were able to enjoy some laughs and take away a memorable experience from your visit.
We’d also like to clarify one point regarding the booking description. When we say “Drag Show with Dinner”, we mean that guests can enjoy dinner while watching the show. The dinner itself is not included in the ticket. The ticket includes one drink, while food and additional drinks can be ordered separately. This is also stated in the ticket details and inclusions, although we understand how the wording may have created a different expectation, and we’ll take this as useful feedback on how we communicate the experience.
Regarding the audience size, we always hope to have a lively crowd for every show, but attendance can naturally vary from night to night. Even when the audience is smaller than expected, our performers continue with the show as scheduled and give the guests who are there the same energy and experience.
We’re also sorry that the cocktails were not to your taste. We’ll share this feedback with our team.
Thank you again for giving us a chance and for appreciating what we are trying to create through our Deaf-inclusive team and the experience itself. We hope you’ll have the opportunity to visit us again under different circumstances and experience the show with a livelier crowd.
Warm regards,
Soeryo

I had an incredible time here! The food and service was great and we learned sign language in between shows. I highly recommend booking this activity if you’re in the Canggu area.
Fun, friendly Drag Show.
Food was great and the Espresso martinis were good.
3 queens, great costumes and pretty family friendly as well.
Two main performers. Good audience participation. Learned some sign language. Supported the deaf and LGBT+ community.
Drag shows are fun, but tarot reading can be a bit slow. Great nevertheless, I recommend the activity.
We all had a blast. I took my adult children and we ate dinner. The food was decent, but the show was really fun and all the people there made it super fun. The staff is deaf and they taught you sign language and that was super fun. It was quite different from Sign language in the United States. Really fun staff and the girls did a great job singing and dancing and entertaining. Afterwards, you can do karaoke and that was a blast. Highly recommend this experience if you’re in Canguu!
So fun!!! Definitely do it, and for a very good cause. The food was delicious and drinks were decently priced.
Such a fabulous night! The ladies really made sure everyone, children as well, were included and having a great time. Highly recommend!
Make sure that you have a heap of energy and ready for something different. This show had a variety of performers, something which we had expected. Unfortunately it just wasn't for us.
We did the show + meal bundle. Meal was OK.
I truly applaud the uniqueness of this show and what the performers are doing for their community. Pleased to be able to support this community and have this different experience in a new environment.
Oh what a night, performances were fantastic, laughed and sang throughout, extremely entertaining! Wait staff are magnificent, food and drinks were excellent and Katty is one beautiful human, great entertainer and absolutely gorgeous. Highly recommend a visit.
Super fun night, the drag queens were a hoot and the whole experience very interactive. Highly recommend for a fun night out.
Super interactive, fun and intimate with the talented drag superstars. The team was also super friendly and inclusive.
This was an unforgettable experience! Non-stop laughter, high energy, and an intimate setting made for a birthday celebration to remember. Worth every penny and more! Highly recommend for any special occasion
This was a very unique experience with tarot reading between drag performances. The drag queens were very entertaining and hilarious. I loved how much audience participation there was! The food and drinks were also great! I love that they were super inclusive and had a deaf host for the show! So important and so wonderful!
The Drag Queens and staff they went up and beyond what was expected. Would definitely recommend everyone to visit for fun filled night.
It was so fun. Had free drinks and learnt sign language too. The drag queens were so funny and entertaining and everyone was included in the fun.
Wonderfully entertaining and interactive! The food was delicious and the service was spot on. A great night out

We glad that you had best night with us.
Please come visiting us again with your friends and colleagues.
Customer service through the booking agent/third party viator was a bit questionable and delayed but in person the show was absolutely fantastic.
Staff were lovely, queens were great on stage and included the audience in a very respectable way. Had a great night!
