Such an incredible experience traveling with the indotravel team. All of their workers were amazing, from the drivers to the guides to the hostel hosts and the owner as well. They answered all of our questions and helped us all along the way. Sahal was our personal guide throughout the journey and he was super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We had great conversations and you can tell he really cares a lot about the guests and their experiences. From climbing the rim of Mt Bromo for sunrise and also the incredible viewpoint to hiking up and down the crater of the Ijen volcano, the 3 days were full of incredible experiences and memories I will never forget. While it was a long 3 day journey from Bali with long rides in the van, I could not imagine trying to do this on my own. With the professionalism of the Indotravel team added on top of the convenience of just having to hop in the van and go, I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore and be a little adventurous. The hostel accommodations were fine, nothing super fancy but that is to be expected when you are having an immersive experience. Thank you again to the indotravel team for a lifetime of memories and friends made along the way.

Great three days tour from Bali if you want to see Ijen and Bromo.Good communication from the agency before and during the trip.I was accompanied by Sahal for 3 days who very knowledgeable, kind and pleasant to be with .The rest of the team, driver and guides for each volcanos were super professional and nice. Recommended.

This tour was truly a once in a lifetime experience. My partner and I had and amazing time at both Bromo and Ijen. Everything was so well planned, from the meeting place all the way to drop off. Our driver Epi was so patient with us and made a great effort to ensure everyone was well cared for. Someone in our group needed a SIM card for their phone and he tried to stop at every possible shop on route to help her. He is also a very skilled driver, we felt very safe with him. Our stay in Bromo was great! The town had a great vibe and we were very well fed. Os who took us up to bromo was such a lovely guide! He was incredibly kind and knowledgable. He made sure we had plenty of breaks on the steep walk up the mountain. I honestly did not feel hungry this entire trip. We were so well fed and we really enjoyed every meal provided to us. Our ijen stay was beautiful, the staff were all so kind and welcoming. Thank you Petra for being such a beautiful host to us we felt very welcomed. Our group had a lot of questions about ijen and you really put our minds at ease. The ijen hike was quite physically straining for me but the equipment and gas mask provided to us was great quality and very useful. Our guide Harry was so patient with us (even though my partner and I walked very slowly). We never felt rushed or unsafe at any point of the hike. Harry was so humble, he knew all of the amazing photo spots and took some incredible pictures for us. Harry even held our hands to help us navigate the steep rocky areas. We want to thank the indotravel team for creating such a beautiful memory for us. Something we will remember for our lifetime. :)

Good way to see Bromo and Ijen fast

Don't expect luxurious settings (even hot water everywhere you sleep), be ready for a lot of driving and harduous hiking, but eventually you see Bromo and Ijen, both spectacular places to experience. They do Bromo the opposite way of the crowd, which allows less business on the trail, brilliant. For Ijen there is no other way, it is steep and crowded, so avoid the weekend.

Thanks for your feedback. As with all interesting sites that attract tourists and travellers from all over the world, you should definitely avoid Friday and Saturday evenings. All the goodwill in the world is needed to find the best accesses and itineraries to limit the impact of tourist concentrations. On the Bromo, we've had an itinerary that avoids the crowds for several years now, and we're working on it on the Kawah Ijen. Thank you for your positive and realistic testimony of this unique and unforgettable expedition/adventure.

I have been on this tour with my friend and we had such an amazing time! Moments and views for a lifetime! Our tour guide and all other people involved in our trip where super nice & friendly. The accommodations where simple but much better than some of the hostels we‘ve stayed in. The food was super delicious. Many thanks for this amazing trip! Highly recommended! :)

Best tour for Mt Bromo and Ijen!

Amazing and well organized tour! The team communicated the next steps of the tour well and kept us well fed throughout the trip. I was worried about being extremely tired from the long drive but we took breaks every 2 hours so that helped a lot. The best part is this tour goes to Mt. Bromo first instead of the King Kong viewpoint. So we got to be the only ones on the volcano for sunset! (All other tours do it the other way around)

Amazing places

Warning: make sure you confirm the itinerary with your guide at Bromo because they take you to the crater for sunrise instead of the viewpoint! They do this to avoid crowds but I personally think the viewpoint is much more interesting during sunrise and argued with the guide for some time before they accepted to take us to the viewpoint for sunrise. In the Viator itinerary it also says viewpoint for sunrise but they don’t actually follow it. Bromo and Ijen are jaw dropping and must be seen. This tour is also good value for what you get but I personally didn’t like the hotels because they were near the road and too loud, so I’d recommend booking a different tour and paying more for better rooms. This tour is still great though!

Thanks for your nice comment. Our experience of nearly 15 years on the Bromo has shown us that the main complaint of visitors to the Bromo is the crowds that invade the viewpoints and make it impossible to have the magical moment you're looking for. That's why we're proposing a different route that, in principle, everyone agrees with (but that's not the case for you). As far as accommodation is concerned, it's not possible to find better accommodation in the Bromo at 2300m altitude, on the caldera of the super-volcano Tengger at Cemoro Lawang. The most important thing, and you're right, is that you have an excellent memory of your trip that you'll treasure for a very long time.

Crazy 3 days

Got so many crazy experiences frome this 3 days! Our drivers and guides wel extremely friendly and helpful. Not much sleep in this trip and the sleeping places are basic. On the vulcano we had 2 guides 1 in front and 1 in the back so no one got lost. The equipment was good. We did eat lots of different local food in nice small restaurants. This trip is 100% worth the money but you have to be a little adventurous!
