The local tour company had to cancel the night before and they were very helpful. Viator told me I would get refunded "if it really was canceled " like I was lying about it. That did not make me want to use Viator again.

I wish we were able to give this trip a better rating, but we were pretty disappointed with the overall experience. Our guide, Laura seemed to have been thrown into running the trip even though she was unprepared and had limited knowledge of the things we did. Our guide also didn't seem very interested in the trip and barely spoke with us despite several attempts from our end to get her to be more outgoing.
The trip started a bit late as we had to drive and wait for a whale watching excursion to finish and that wasted a good bit of time. From there we drove to furnas lake for a brief walk and a few small facts about the lake before heading to lunch for a traditional stew. The cozido was tasty and it was definitely a local restaurant. We didn't have any time to explore the village as listed in the booking. We were cut very short at the botanical gardens too - Laura gave us our tickets, showed us the entrance and said be back in 90 minutes vs. the 3-hours listed. We did a self guided tour of the gardens and spent some time in the bath. Both the garden and bath were really cool and it would have been great to have a guided tour and 3 hours to explore as listed.
Overall the trip was pleasant, but it's not at all worth the money. We should have booked a taxi and done this on our own for less than half the price.

We booked this tour last minute when another tour cancelled on us. We were pleasantly surprised that we were the only group on the trip! We had a great time with our guide from the UK (apologies, but I forget her name!) and learned a lot about Furnas and the neighboring towns.

I usually tour on my own either solo or with my family. Tried an organized tour this time. It was a terrific tour of Furnas. Our Guide, Frida, was friendly, knowledgeable and personable. It was like hanging out with a friend for the day who was super helpful. Saw and learned things I would have missed if on my own. Time was well spent, didn't feel rushed.

Knowledgeable and kind tour guides made this tour super fun! Nice view point locations have been selected for it. We enjoyed Terra Nostral hot pool a lot! We highly recommend this tour.

The guide was very pleasant and knew alot about the area. The only we didn’t get to do was the tour was supposed to have some time shopping which didn’t realize till we got back to the hotel. Over all I would recommend this tour.
