Juan, Rodrigo and Miguel were excellent guides and very informative. The drivers were also very good and competent. The bus was always on time. The tour gives a good way for tourists to see over half of the island, without having to drive. Overall, the hop on hop off bus is excellent!

San Miguel is a small island packed with incredible views of the ocean, lakes, hydrangeas, volcanoes craters, and lush countryside. Their hop on/hop off bus routes, blue and green, gave us the chance to see two thirds of the island’s famous attractions in a brief time. Our hosts, Barbara and Juan, were each very informative and knowledgeable but also filled with enthusiasm and fun. The trip was incredibly affordable. By seeing the sites along the way, we were able to determine where we would travel to by car for more extended visits.

This is a very good way of visiting the island when you don't want to drive. We took the two day formula. We saw beautiful places and stopped at some of the most impressive sites. The drivers and the guides were friendly and knowledgeable. My only criticism is that sometimes there is a gap of two hours between buses and that can be too long, depending of what there is to do/see in a particular place. But overall, I recommend this way of visiting the island.

most of the stops are a fair walk from the actual site. could not hear slot of the drivers. We only ran across 2 guides with a micro phone on our 2 day pass. I do have to praise Barbara from Spain. She had a lot of knowledge to share and she could be heard most of the time.

This tour is a great way to get an overview of Sao Miguel Island. Although the fog/clouds deterred us from some of the stops, we still enjoyed seeing the areas outside of the city. The assistant on the return trip shared a lot of interesting information.

A great way to see the island and well worth it! We took both lines which takes about 4 hours. There are 2 different routes, each 2 hours long. Island is green, lakes and ocean are beautiful. The drivers were very good as well as the guides. A very enjoyable tour at a great value.

We went on the 48 hour package which gave us plenty of time to see everything we wanted to see. It was great value for the price. They were extremely well organized and always on time. Having Joao, Barbara and Sara as guides onboard provided a special touch and an opportunity to get the locate flavour. They were great!

The tour itself was nice, the guide was really good and entertaining. On the other side, the bus passes every 45-120 minutes so you don't have the time to get off at every stop. Also, if you want to take the two lines, you have to watch for the finishing hour versus the start of the other line because it often only works in one order and not the other. Because we started with one line instead of the other, we didn't have the time to do both lines so it feels like we lost half of our money. Except for that, we had great service, we would recommend.

This is a very cost effective way to see the tourist sites at your own leisure in Sao Miguel. There is the blue line that goes to the west of the island and the green line that goes east. I got the 48hr ticket so I could take me time to explore each end of the island.

Very friendly staff!! Juan, Barbara, Miguel, Carolina(?) not sure of her name😔 were all knowledgeable and engaging. Told us interesting facts about culture and what we were seeing. The bus was quite punctual, within minutes of the printed arrival departure time. Would highly recommend this as a way to get to different places around the island.

Juan was an excellent guide, had a great insight and provided excellent recommendations. I would recommend this trip and wish we had done it on day 1 and not the last 2 days of our trip. Gorreana is the best line, with having the most activities, while linking up with the other line is perfect for the amazing visto do rei view of sete cidades Lakes lagoa azul e lagoa verde. Moving between lines is permitted. I suggest travel the full routes for recon on day 1 and getting the 2 day pass to revisit sites u would like to spend more time at.
