The wine and cheese were delicious! Diogo was a great guide. It is clear that Diogo has spent a lot of time studying the Azores wines and production process. We learned a lot about the wine of the islands. I loved the unique environment where the tasting took place. The room is a perfect set up for interacting with the other people in the group which really added to the experience. On a side note, the tour company should offer to sell the whale cutting boards, multiple people in our group wanted one. The only suggestion for improvement we have is to add fans to the tasting room, it can get stuffy in the room if it is a warm day with little or no breeze.
A unique experience to connect with other travelers over some great wines and cheese tasting. The neighborhood is just outside the city center in a neighborhood. It gives you a good look at the houses and how they are designed. We were grouped with some wonderful people that made the experience even more special. We walked in as strangers and walked out as friends. We even all walked back to the town center together. If you’re looking to connect with other travelers. This is a great way to do it.

This was an awesome experience. Loved the location and how authentic the evening was. Diego was do knowledgeable and enthusiastic and his partner Patricia was also lovely. Would definitely recommend this experience.
We chose to book this tour before arriving in Sao Miguel, and we are so glad we did. We didn't know what to expect for this and was a welcoming surprise, from arriving at the residential address and being directed through to the lush gardens with a path to a small house where it had an intimate table set up. Our Hosts Mike and Patricia were absolutely amazing and informative, who truly made this a wonderful and informative. Highly recommend!!

Though we adored our host Dolago and he gave us some very interesting information- The description of the event (food to go with the cheese, enough for a meal) was not what we got.. Portuguese bread cut in cubes and crackers. A tablespoon of tomato jam and a tablespoon of honey- The three basic wines he chose and the cheeses were excellent and should have been accompanied by an
array of appetizers. We thoroughly enjoyed the company for the two hours.
It was the lack of food accompaniments that gave this a three star review.

Thank you for joining our experiences and for taking the time to provide feedback. We are sorry to hear that the experience did not match your expectation. Nevertheless, you mention "an array of appetizers" and it's not clear to us what you're referring to. The inclusions are clearly stated in the description, as follows:
"Includes 6 types of cheese, 4 wines, dessert, condiments, etc. Foods and wines are served in generous portions, so it doubles as dinner."
The etc. pertains to fruits of the season, crackers, local honey and other variable inclusions, depending on the circumstances.
The individual portions of jam and honey served reflect our responsible attitude regarding food waste and follow the strict hygiene guidelines we commit to. Also, our hosts are instructed to refill any missing food.
Since we presented exactly what is promised, it's not clear to us how improve this products' description in order to prevent similar situations in the future.

WOW!!!! This was truly an AMAZING experience!! Our entire family was blown away by the wonderful hospitality of Raphael and Duego. They were fun,knowledgeable,and talented!! There are surprises around every corner! DO NOT miss the chance to do this
Must do. Great wine and cheese. Fun to be in a home and visit the beautiful garden. Would definitely attend.
Great vines, tasty cheese and a very friendly and courteous host. We had a really good time with Rafael and learned a lot about local culinary delicacies.
