A thoroughly enjoyable kayak tour and lunch lead by 2 experienced, personable guides. Our safety was their first priority as they started with a complete review of procedures to be followed after we were individually provided with equipment and instruction. On the water, they pointed out interesting sites and history of the island while guiding us through sometimes windy and choppy conditions. I recommend this tour without hesitation for those wanting to kayak in a unique, scenic location.

We booked this experience for the last day of our honeymoon and it didn’t disappoint. The views from the water were beautiful, our tour guide Alex provided lots of information on the volcanic rock etc and we had a break with some yummy lunch and time to swim and snorkel.

Seriously the best way to see Santorinis coastline! The kayaking tour was the highlight of our trip. Alex our guide was so wonderful and knowledgeable about the island, took us to spots most tourists do not get to go. The food provided was so good! Gave us time to swim and snorkel. Literally everything about this tour is rave worthy! Would 1000 times do it again!

Fantastic Kayak Sunset Tour

Through sheer stupidity, we slept through our kayak tour that started at 10 AM. When we called the company, they very graciously allowed us to swap our time for a sunset tour instead. The first point to be made is Trekking Hellas' customer service was phenomenal. The sunset tour in August is 100% the way to go as the sun won't be beating down on you and it's not as hot as it is at noon. We were provided with towels (because I forgot ours), cases for our phones so they wouldn't get wet, and Panos (our wonderful guide) let me borrow a long sleeved shirt that could get wet so the sun wouldn't fry me. You see what I mean about phenomenal customer service? The tour itself was everything I wanted it to be and more. We got fun exercise on the water, explored a cave, and even snorkeled. The food was plentiful and delicious, and Panos was full of interesting information on Santorini. Watching the sun set on the water was serene and intimate, which isn't something you really get with other tourists around you like on the island. This was a great amount of exercise for a vacation: not strenuous and no one was sore the next day. We saw an older couple on a tour as well so I think people in decent physical shape could easily do this. Panos let us set the pace so if you wanted to go faster/slower, you definitely could.

Amazing scenery but let down by description of longer trip. (we would have paid for just the 3 hr 30 trip otherwise)

The trip was awesome but felt very let down by the description of the trip. The trip was the longer of the two options (5 hrs not 3.5 hrs) and with transfer which added on additional cost so we were expecting a trip that went from 1000 - 1500. Unfortunately we were delivered back to the hotel at 1330 and picked up at 0945. this equivalates to a 2 hr 45 kayak with about 45 min transfer time. The instructors were amazing and the trip was amazing part from not seeing the lighthouse that was posted in the description. We also did not receive snacks on the trip but just a lunch. We are experienced sportspeople and the kayaking was very easy! so feel that we could have done a lot more if allowed. When we asked for a 20% refund we were told that the trip did not include the lighthouse and that the trip also included transfer time etc as well (even though we paid extra for that!) . IN light of this we will be expecting some form of refund and will be approaching our credit card company for a refund as the trip was not as advertised.

Great active experience in Santorini

This was a wonderful experience. Our tour guides were highly skilled in kayaking and managing large groups, and the equipment was in good condition. Snorkeling was available at about the halfway point in the tour, and I’m surprised more of our group didn’t partake - the clear waters and beautiful small fish made it my favorite part of the trip. The tour guides finished the trip by driving us to a local tavern where we had a heavy hors d’oeuvres a few sips of wine. I’d do it again!

I just want to say Panos and Alex were such wonderful guides! Panos answered all of my questions that I had ahead of time and with such professionalism! My husband and I were in 1 kayak and my daughter went with Panos, he was so very kind and informative. The stop for a snack and Greek coffee was most excellent. The host was such a lovely gal. I wish I could remember her name she made us all a fruit salad and Panos made us all a Greek coffee. We had a rainy day, but Panos and Alex made the trip so memorable and fun that we didn't mind the rain. Thank you Panos and Alex for a wonderful day! You are both such an inspiration!

Had a great time on this kayaking excursion! We had a double kayak with a rutter making it easy to steer. We kayaked along the southern coast of the island taking in the views and swam in a bay on the Mediterranean Sea. Although I don’t think previous kayaking experience is required, it is helpful. Our tour guides were awesome - very friendly, easy to communicate with, and knowledgeable about not just the tour but other aspects of Santorini in general. 10/10 would recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our guide was friendly, patient, and informative. The group was small which made the experience more intimate. It was great to see the southern coast and spend time snorkelling as well. The light lunch provided was fresh and delicious, and our guide gave us information on local cuisine as well. Our only complaint is that the inside of the mouth piece of the snorkelling masks were slightly “bitten off” which made wearing the snorkelling mask a bit more difficult, however we could still snorkel and had a great time doing so. Overall a great experience that I would recommend to anyone :)

This Kayak experience is the Beat experience we had while in Santorini!!! Panos, our guide, was beyond amazing! His love for the island is very apparent. He gave us wonderful information about the island as well as he wanting to learn about each of his guests. The lunch after was also spectacular as it all is locally grown and made fresh each day. This is a must do activity when I’m Santorini!!

Costss was a great guide and the kayaking was good fun. Lunch at the family run taverna was fantastic. We even bought some from the shop on site. We would do this again if we returned to Santorini and highly recommend.

The tour guide (if i spell it correctly, paynos) and Sofia are excellent. We had our lifetime achievement and for the first time. The tour guide towed us on return. He is very knowledgeable and caring. Sofia took us for a lovely restaurant for locally grown greek food-amazing. Any one visiting Santorini should try this company for kayaking and will see amazing areas which are not approachable by road e.g. Dragon mouth. Best wishes to to Paynos and Sofia, you two are brilliant

More than what expected!

The best excursion that we did in Santorini! Our guide Panos was just amazing, he explained the history of all locations than we visited in the Kayak. He was friendly and has a great sens of humour :) Before the end of the tour, we took the lunche (included) in a direct-from-ferme taverne and it was very delicious Santorini specialities and it was really more than what we expected. I recommend this company and this tour (it worth it).

One of the highlights of our trip - what a fantastic experience. Kostas was so lovely, informative and funny, he made everyone feel safe and at ease. There was also a lovely American lady who took us out with Kostas but I have completely forgotten her name - she was a delight too and so friendly. We visited three beaches, got to snorkel, and had lunch. I'm a first timer and now feel like i'd love to do it again :)

Truly Amazing Kayak Experience!

We visited Santorini at the tail end of the tourist season, and through some miracle, we had the tour guide all to ourselves! What an amazing day on the water! We started from Trekking Hellas HQ near the southern tip of Thera where they have a great facility to change, shower, and securely store your stuff while you're out on the water. From there, you kayak in the calm waters of the bay to the east through the rocky outcroppings all the way to the White and Red beaches, where you'll beach for a while and get a chance to swim and snorkel. From there, if time permits, you'll go back west all the way out to the lighthouse at the end of the island. Once you get back to the base and get cleaned up, the second part of the tour starts. Your guide will bring you up to the Good Heart tavern where you'll get a full vegetarian lunch of some of the most iconic dishes of Santorini along with some of the history behind them. Be warned that this tour will take a good chunk of the day, but if you're wanting to see a different side of the island, I would highly recommend this experience.

Lita and Stavros are amazing guides. My partner and I are completely new to kayaking and they put us at ease very quickly with their great communication and funny jokes. The whole trip around the southern tip of the island is super memorable, on top of the snorkeling. The lunch afterwards was absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend this to anyone!

Excellent kayaking experience! The swimming was nice since you can pretty much float in the salty sea. It was a bit tough kayaking back because it got windier, but they treated us to a nice meal at the end. Highly recommended!
