What To Expect

Depart your Santorini hotel by air-conditioned minivan, and travel to the jetty for your cruise.  Meet the trained skipper and crew, and find a comfortable spot on the cruise boat. Then, sit back and admire Santorini’s caldera and sugar-cube, clifftop houses as your vessel pulls away from the dock.

Relax, enjoy the sea spray, and take snaps of the unfolding views as your boat cuts through the waves of the Aegean Sea. While you cruise, enjoy the sodas, wine, ouzo (anise-infused liquor), and coffee available for purchase from the onboard bar. Then drop anchor at the hot springs beside Nea Kameni, Santorini’s ancient volcano. Step ashore, and snap photos of the dark volcanic cliffs contrasted against the turquoise of the sea. As an option, immerse yourself in the invitingly warm pools, whose steaming waters are thought to have therapeutic benefits (admission at your own expense).

 Afterward, hop back on deck for a delicious dinner while moored near Thirasia, an island located off Santorini's northwestern coast. As the boat bobs in the water, sip an included glass of wine and watch the sunset over Thirasia's craggy coastline. The island, also home to the remains of ancient Thira, is sparsely populated, and offers a nice contrast to lively Santorini. As the sun sinks below the horizon in a blaze of orange, gold, and pink, cruise back to port and finish your tour with a hotel drop-off.

Don’t book with Viator!!

I was unable to be picked up by the driver as the meeting location and time got moved up an hour, without receiving notification through What’s App, email, or text notification. No follow up through Viator. Even better to put the icing on the cake, after hours on the phone, they are are still refusing to provide a refund. When I rebooked (with almost certainty that the “missed” tour would be refunded) to a more expensive tour ($158 more)the same one was no longer available for the next day (last day possible in Santorini). This is not over Viator….

Not happy ,after no response and spending around $4 000 to Viator for entire trip

I’ve emailed for a full refund as we’re at correct pick up 1 hour before due time and we’re not picked up sent email then called from another Greek tour operator saying we were at correct position opposite old hospital so have witness plus photos of going to pick up the day before to make sure we were at correct position. Waiting for response still 1 week later.

Very complete but do not like the food

Be careful with the tour to the volcano 🌋 you need to be an active person. I see many people suffering during the hike. For sure tennis shoes. Probably that needs to be clarified many times on the tour description. The reason that I do not give 5 stars it is because I prefer not to be charged for the dinner because I did not like the food. I thought it will be different but it was not good. All in all we had a great time. If you are a type of person that get sick 🤢 in a boat take something for sea sickness

Old wooden pirate schooner boat added to the old world charm. Top deck is open and middle deck is enclosed with comfy seating. Windows all round for great viewing. Spectacular views from the Aegean sea. Volcano climbing and a dip into the mineral hot springs before donner buffet was served. A good but basic buffet which is filling enough. Then a glorious sunset to die for.

Lovely trip out around...

Lovely trip out around the volcano and islands, walk up volcano was doable in good shoes but very hot in july, hot springs/sulfer swim was great fun (dont wear white), second swim was refreshing, dinner was great and plentiful, host was knowledgable and friendly, sunset views at the end was super great, party atmosphere after sunset back to harbours was fun. We were happy with the day out on the boat

Ok now: Extremely good experience with the whole package (sailing, light hiking, infos, swimming fun! :), great food and a first row sunset!), very very nice, polite and experienced crew, great ship. Just nevermind the weird reviews here. Forget them :) oh and if you think it’s pricey. Don’t. It’s more than justified and you should just do it :) Little tipp: if you can board earlier than Fira. Will get you the best places on the ship 😁 Oh, don’t be like me, pack sunscreen 😄

No Shade

They were over an hour late picking us up so we baked in 100 degree weather. We got to the boat and it was so crowded that we had to sit above the barbeque and roasted the entire time they cooked the chicken. There is no shade on the boat. Unless you want to go swimming, and climb a volcano, this trip is simply not worth it. The food is nothing to talk about, and the sunset is the same you'll see over every body of water. Do a tour of Santorini instead. By the way, they dumped us in the parking lot to find our own bus and then the driver called out the name of the bus stop instead of our name or the hotel name. We ended up 2 miles from the hotel and took a cab back. No, I do not recommend this.

Fantastic experience! Really handy being picked up and taken to the Port. Really friendly staff and a great tour. Our tips would be to make sure you wear or pack proper walking shoes for the hike as the track is loose gravel and to bring cash as it is 5 euro to go up Nea Kameni which goes to the national park. Food is a tasty and simple Greek buffet. The swimming spots are both lovely and the sunset beautiful. Would highly recommend.

This cruise is a must. My Santorini trip would not have been the same without this Caldera experience. The crew were friendly and knowledgeable. The hiking and swimming experiences were fabulous. And the bar abd food were very good. Beyond my expectations.

It was a very nice boat trip where we could see several islands of Santorini. First we went to the Vulcano Island in the middle of Santorini where we hiked to the highest point to have an unbelievable view! After that we went to the smaller Palia Kameni Island where we were able to jump off the boat and swim for 30 min before we head to another spot to swim. After the swimming sessions we went to a restaurant at the second largest Thirasia. The food was not the best but we were hungry... The best was the end. They turned off the motor and we just enjoyed the beautiful sunset over Santorini.. just magical.

What an amazing time we had on this cruise. Our host, Dada, and his crew were so hospitable and so much fun! We got to hike the Nea Kameni volcano and hear all about its history, swim in the thermal waters of the volcano from the boat, had a fabulous dinner and watched the most gorgeous sunset ( and moon rising) from the center of the sea. It was remarkable. We even ended the night with some Greek dancing! A fantastic time we highly recommend.

From the time we boarded the sailboat Aphrodite until the time we docked, the Captain and Crew were very professional, courteous and pleasant. The dinner was good, a typical Greek dinner. Bring your walking shoes as you trek the active volcano. Bring your swim trunks and bikini and a towel for a swim. Then set back and enjoy the well timed sunset. This really was the highlight of our week at Oia, Santorini.

This was our first time in Santorini and Dada and the Crew made sure it was one to remember! The boat was absolutely gorgeous, the Volcano had an amazing view (I do recommend bringing hiking shoes) and the Therma waters was a whole new experience. A bit salty but a great way to cool down after the hike up the Volcano. Next you have an amazing dinner in the cool breeze, with a great view of the surrounding islands and other boats. When we finally set sail for the Sunset, the captain opened the sails and turned off the motors so it was very calming and peaceful. The sunset was spectacular and memorizing! On the way back, they turn on music and show you how to really have a good time the Greek way! All in all, one of my most favorite experiences from Greece. Thanks to Dada and the Crew!! A++ 10/10

Sailing was great and the overall experience could have being done without the Volcano walk that is very demanding. Needed to stay longer in the thermal waters but the Oia sunset experience makes up for the short time in the water. Staff is very friendly but overbooking makes it difficult to enjoy

We were expecting a catamaran, but got the Aphrodite Sunset Sail and it's crew....to which we got the best time of this day. This tour is worth the money, hiked Nea Kameni and our guide Dada shared the detailed history of the volcanic eruptions. Two swim stops, delicious dinner and upclose sunset complimented with great soft music. After sunset, we got a greek dance lesson from Dada, which was really fun. Recommend this tour, especially with the Aphrodite beautiful sail ship!

The tour starts a bit earlier than expected but trust me its worth every min of it.. the trip includes 3 stops.. each one is great by itself .. last one being the stop for the sunset.. the crew is awesome they made us very comfortable and provided a lot of info.. (even taught us basic steps for Greek dance) .. the dinner provided was very tasty .. it was simple but boy it was so good.. i would highly recommend taking this tour if nothing else the sunset from the boat is just awesome..

Amazing experience!!!

We had an amazing time. We enjoyed hiking to the top of the volcano (definitely a workout). You definitely need either water shoes or tennis shoes. The views from the top were breathtaking. Swimming was lots of fun. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, is not open bar so bring Euros. The sunset was beautiful. I loved Dadda (David). He was an excellent entertainer. This is a must do!!

The title of this tour is “Santorini Sunset Dinner Cruise including Nea Kameni Visit,” neither of these wonderfully sounding events ended up happening for us. We waited 1.5 hours at the pick up location, contacted our tour operator via WhatsApp and email, but to no avail. The sad part is that the tour sounds really great, but we have left the island and unfortunately have no way of getting reimbursed because MTM, the company running this tour, will not respond to my emails, but they were more than happy to communicate with me prior to forgetting to pick us up. I’m sure the tour is wonderful, granted they pick you up, so I would say to proceed with caution, maybe even try to get a tour operator on the phone the day prior to make sure everything is arranged, and get the details on where the cruise will be departing, so that you can get there on your own if you are also forgotten. Godspeed!
