Unforgettable day at sea with pirate Captain Makis, his daughter, and Elias. We caught fish, relaxed, listened to music, swam, enjoyed the rich coastline and learned a lot about local history. The crew prepared a wonderful lunch, including the fish we caught, in the most beautiful and serene cove. We laughed together and were treated like family from the first moment we met. Me, my husband and 2 teenage sons (14,16) will not forget this perfect day. It’s a must do trip that left us wanting more.

Our fishing trip in Santorini with Pirate Captain Makis and first mate Elias was one of the absolute highlights of our entire vacation! From the moment we stepped on board, Captain Makis made us feel welcome, safe, and ready for an adventure. They are genuinely nice guys—equal parts knowledgeable fisherman and entertaining “pirate”—and kept the experience relaxed, enjoyable, and full of laughs.
The fishing itself was incredible, but what made the trip truly special was the amazing meal he prepared right on the boat. He cooked the fish my husband caught along with some homemade tomato fritters, and it was honestly one of the best meals we had in Greece. Simple, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Eating a meal you just caught, overlooking the caldera, felt unforgettable.
Captain Makis’ passion for the sea, storytelling, and hospitality shines through every moment of the tour. Whether you’re an experienced angler or trying fishing for the first time, you’ll feel completely taken care of. We left with great memories, beautiful photos, and full hearts.

The captain and the mate are amazing. They gave me much more than a fishing experience. They gave me a complete education of all the islands and history along with a nice barbecue on the water with the fresh fish I caught and of course they brought fresh salad bread and other sides for me to enjoy. I would highly recommend this fishing tour 21 who loves the open waters to get a great history and education of the islands.

The fishing boat trip was fantastic. Mike and Elias showed us around and gave us info about the history of the islands and the land. We fished, snorkeled, swam, ate a delicious meal which they prepared. We heard such great stories. It was truly an amazing experience. Highly, highly recommend.

Simply wonderful. More than just a fishing trip. Its a tour that will offer you more "real" history than you will find elsewhere. Capt "Mikie the Pirate" started on these waters as a small boy. He knows every drop of water. His first Mate is so fluent in English and also knowledgeable on local and historic legend. The boat is extremely clean, well supplied and very very comfortable. We caught a few fish and cooked them up for lunch. This trio may be more expensive than you were looking for, but the experience is exclusive and would be impossible to beat.

Mikey and Elias were the most amazing hosts and tour guides! This was the highlight of our 10 days in Greece. They treated us like family, gave us all the history and geology of the area, helped us catch two beautiful fish, cooked an incredible meal, took photos of us! I cannot say enough about how amazing this was! I’m a single mother with 2 teenage children and we all had the best time!!! This was worth every penny. If you are wondering if you should go, don’t even hesitate! Very family friendly. Thank you for such an adventure Mikey and Elias.

Capt. Makis and Ilias were absolutely amazing. Very welcoming and knowledgeable. Having a 3rd generation fisherman and pirate as captain enhanced the trip for me. Touring around all of the islands, seeing them up close, and learning the history behind them made the tour that much more special.....and we caught a golden grouper that Capt.Makis cooked for us.

This is a must-do while in Santorini! Our day started cloudy/rainy, but the boat and crew kept us entertained. Mikas and Elias were outstanding and extremely knowledgeable about the Greek islands and fishing. The stories Captain Mikas told of his childhood fishing were incredible. The lunch barbecue of the fish we caught was delicious and then the sun came out while we were eating. To connect like that with 2 authentic Greek residents was a true highlight of our week-long stay on the island. We got to see so many inlets and churches from the water you would never see otherwise.
Book this adventure without hesitation! You don’t need any fishing experience. Enjoy!

Captain Makis and Ilias were absolutely phenomenal, and provided my family and I the most fun and memorable experience. We got to see the volcanic islands of Santorini up close, viewing sites most tourists don’t get to see. We even caught a blue fin tuna that Makis and Ilias fully prepared (along with some unbelievable tomato fritters) that we consider the best meal of our trip. Ending with views of the Santorini sunset was icing on the cake. An absolute must during your stay in Santorini!

This was literally the best day of my life - can’t recommend this tour enough! Ilias is a wonderful historian and storyteller. Learning the island’s history from him was so enjoyable. Captain Makis is an amazing guide, fisherman, chef, you name it. The food he made with the fish we caught was the best of our trip, and the spots he took us to swim were unbelievable. If you’re going to Santorini, you absolutely can’t miss out on this fishing tour.

I’m not sure what was better the captain and his boat with a great mate or the scenery….. the experience that those guys gave was absolutely perfect. I have chartered boat all around the world and this is number 1 in my book! I Couldn’t recommend a better charter I wish I could give them 10 out of 5. If we make it back we will be booking again hands down

Captains Mikas and Elias were amazing. The boat was so clean and they were very gracious hosts ensuring we enjoyed ourselves. Could not imagine a better way to spend the day in Santorini. We were lucky with catching a 100 lb yellow fin tuna that captain grilled for lunch as well as making fresh ceviche with the tuna.
Elias knowledge of history and the formation of the islands was very impressive. Captain Mikas is at home on the sea and his experience and attention to detail is an evident.

Had the most amazing day on the water off of Santorini. Captain Makis and Elias made sure every need of our family was catered to - from an incredible history of some of the areas around Santorini to an AMAZING meal cooked right on the boat - we had the best time and would absolutely do this again. The communication in advance of the trip was fantastic as well. And as a family who likes to fish, we know that does not always mean “catch” but to catch grouper and have it cooked right there while we snorkeled was priceless. Amazing way to spend a few hours on the water and see Santorini from a different viewpoint.

Book this now! This was the highlight of our trip. It's an amazing opportunity to see Santorini and learn about its history, while fishing, snorkeling, and enjoying a delicious lunch. All equipment, towels, food are provided. Captain Makis and his family are originally from Santorini and is a multi-generation fisherman. His knowledge of the island is immense. Elias was fun and entertaining. Makis and Elias treat you like family.

Elias and Makis were phenomenal. The whole trip from start to finish was amazing. They were very friendly, gave us great history on the islands, took us to a wonderful spot to snorkel where we saw sunken ships, eels and fish. We caught a blue fin tuna and had THE BEST meal ever which included ceviche made from the tuna. Watched the sunset and had the best time ever. Would recommend them to anyone and would book again if we are in Santorini.

One of the highlights of our 3 week vacation to France and Greece. I booked this as a surprise birthday gift/celebration to my husband with my 2 kids who are 8 and 10. We did the sunset tour which was amazing! He likes to fish but this was so much more than fishing, We swam and snorkeled near a black sand beach with no one else nearby which was AMAZING! We went to another cove and saw tons of fish- again with no one else around.
The home cooked meal of fresh Barracuda and home grown tomatoes was fabulous. They even brought a chocolate cake from a bakery for my husband. I can not recommend this tour enough! Thank you for the wonderful memories- huge shout out to Captain Makis and Elias.

Our family visited Greece for a week and we all decided this was absolutely our favorite tour! The captains made us feel welcome from the very start and were extremely accommodating the entire day on the water. We only had 2 days in Santorini but couldn’t imagine a better way to explore the island. Not to mention, the captains were a great team - Elias gave us detailed history of the island while Captain Mike put us on a grouper and an amberjack, and then they prepared us a fantastic barbecue to enjoy. Overall we had a beautiful day and amazing experience and we would 100% recommend to anyone visiting Santorini!

This was a great experience and the highlight of our trip to Santorini. We got to swim and snorkel in crystal clear water, spend time on a secluded, private beach, and have lunch in a quiet cove with a stunning view of Santorini. The whole thing was completely private and the boat was a really comfortable, nice size. It was just the two of us with the boat crew, Elias and Makis, the whole time. Elias and Makis were wonderful hosts and did everything to make this a really memorable time. If you’re looking for a unique Santorini experience, where you actually get to learn about the people and history of the island, this is THE tour to take. Also, Makis’ wife Maria makes the best tomato fritters!

Absolutely incredible experience! This was my first private tour/experience, and I'm not sure if I will ever go back to big group tours! Our guides gave us loads of information and you had the space to ask questions/dig deeper into your own interests with the sites. The pickup details were clear and the value was greater than the cost. Drinks, food, views, snorkeling and laughs were provided by our wonderful guides. I would do this exact experience again if I had the opportunity. It is worth the cost!
