Wonderful day!!

leslie_K, Apr 2026
Beth and her cowboys did a great job taking us on a 2.5 hour trail ride through the Mexican countryside. We enjoyed the views and the experience riding the gentle horses. We had an authentic Mexican lunch with our hosts then relaxed at the thermal springs. All in all a great and unique experience!

Horseback riding, lunch, warm springs soak. This experience has it all!

Barbara_H, Mar 2026
This combo horseback riding - warm springs trip was terrific! We rode with escorts, including two Mexican cowboys, through the countryside outside of San Miguel de Allende, for 2 1/2 hours. The scenery was beautiful and the horses were easy to ride. My husband is an experienced rider and was able to ride faster and take small detours. I’m not experienced and very much enjoyed the easy pace. After the ride we had a home-cooked Mexican meal which was among the best food I ate while in San Miguel de Allende. Homemade tortillas, fresh veggies, agua fresca, chicken Milanese. It was so good! We then rode down to a warm springs location for a nice long soak. It was a great experience from beginning to end! Do it!

So much fun being free to gallop with personal attention from the cowboys! Very easy and fun to do from SMA!

Horse Trailride and Hotsprings.

CHERYL_C, Nov 2025
This experience is fabulous! The scenery, the guide and co-owners, Beth, Catilano and Reyes, were exceptional. Ride through beautiful countryside, viewing mountains and canyons, breathtaking vistas. Then you get back to the ranch after a 6 mile trail ride, to a delicious homegrown and home cooked meal. They were more than happy to accommodate our vegetarian friend. Hard to say goodbye to new friends… but next came the hot springs portion of the day. Much needed for gringos after sitting a horse for a few hours!! Our day included the hot springs at Escondido - a beautiful tranquil experience on a Monday afternoon. I look forward to returning when the wildflowers are blooming. Our host, Beth, was delightful. Vaya con Dios, my friends.

Wonderful day in SMA!

What a superb day! The horseback riding through the countryside was beautiful and the cowboys gave us ample opportunity for me to trot and gallop past the cacti - so fun, while my husband stayed at a steady walk - his comfort zone! Lunch was authentic and delicious - we had built up an appetite and devoured the homemade tortillas and cheese. The watermelon juice was a perfect thirst quencher. Then on to the hot springs - perfect end to soak our bodies in the hot mineral water and receive wonderful back massages from the waterfalls. Beth and her team were so professional and wonderful. Take the day - get out of the city and enjoy this perfect day. Highly recommend!

Family fun for all levels of riders

Hillary_B, Nov 2025
We had a fantastic time riding horses! It’s great for mixed levels of riders. If you’d like to canter and gallop and have experience, there’s some super fun spots on the trail the super awesome cowboys can lead you to so you can have fun and speed! The horses are great and bomb proof! The lunch at the ranch was delicious and healthy. La Gruta spa is a great place to end your trip! Thoroughly relaxed after the fun ride!

Relaxing and peaceful ride in the Mexican countryside!

Katherine_S, Aug 2025
Beth provided us a beautiful day of riding the countryside of Mexico and wading in the nearby grutas. I was very impressed with how she and her two compadres were very contentious of safety as compared to each of our level of riding experience. We were given the choice up front of whether we preferred a flat or rolling terrain tráiler for our ride. After a couple of hours we stopped back at the ranch for a very nutritious lunch that included homemade tortillas and cheese, and plenty of fresh vegetables. After our meal we traveled by car to a local grutas for a relaxing two hour plunge in the mineral baths. What a wonderful day! Thank you Beth!

Just Do It!!!!!

Great day in natural surroundings

Jackie_H, Mar 2025
Well organized, safe horseback riding in the beautiful countryside. We felt well-cared for by Beth and her team. The ranch was in the area of La Canada, and the ride took us through trails in the countryside thru areas of cactus, the canyon, and then back thru the town. The horses were great, we had 2 cowboys with us who helped us. Pace was a leisurely walk, which was great, and they asked if we wanted to go faster at times, with some trotting, which was fun. After riding, we had homemade lunch prepared for us at the ranch, which was delicious. Then, we were transported to the La Gruta hot springs, where we spent about 2 hours enjoying pools with different water temperatures. Perfect relaxation after riding! Then we came back to San Miguel after our excellent adventure.

Authentic and fun experience

Adam_K, Nov 2024
We had a great experience with Beth and her team. It was one of the best trail riding experiences I have had. Beth and the cowboys were engaging and made the experience very fun. Appreciated the small group size and tailoring the experience to the riders’ levels. The scenery was absolutely stunning. The horses knew the terrain and it was a very comfortable ride. And the lunch afterward was great. I would highly recommend.

Such a great experience

Dominique_D, Nov 2024
This was such a fun day. Incredible experience Beth is incredibly knowledgeable and very accommodating. The views and trail ride itself was an experience I’ll never forget. Book this for yourself, friends, with family you will not regret it

Great day with Beth!

Alex_M, Sep 2024
Really great tour with Beth! She’s an American who is filled with great info about San Miguel, aside from being a great guide. We felt like we got a truly authentic experience on real trails (her partners are local cowboys) for 6 miles! The horses were well cared for and healthy. The tour was followed by a delicious lunch and a few hours at a local hot spring (which was very hot!). Highly recommend this tour!

Best Horseback Riding experience in San Miguel

Rich_M, Jul 2024
Beth and her cowboys were amazing. My wife and I had a great experience. We were picked up at the Rosewood and 2.5 hr ride through the beautiful desert of Mexico. Then a wonderful lunch and off to the hot springs. The combo option was great for us. We highly recommend this adventure.

Wonderful day of Horses & Hot Springs!

Paco_F, Apr 2024
Beth is a wonderful guide. The day started with a pickup at our hotel and private van ride 30 minutes out of town to a small ranch. My wife and 7/9 year old boys have just a little riding experience, and we were pleased that each boy got their own Cowboy to guide them along! The ride itself was 2.5 hours through the countryside, with nice views of the valley. After the ride, we had a lovely lunch at the ranch, which everyone enjoyed. The 2nd part of the day is VERY different, as Beth gives you the choice of 3 different Hot Springs locations. We went with her favorite, which was a large facility with many different baths/pools/locations and a pretty much 100% Mexican crowd. Ended up being the perfect way to sooth those sore muscles after the ride.

Incredible day trip

Hayley_R, Apr 2024
Book this tour! It was one of the highlights of our two week vacation across Mexico. Beth is an absolute joy who truly loves her job and living in San Miguel. The horseback trail had incredible scenery (especially the canyon in the second half) and was perfectly fine for beginners. Lunch at the small ranch was delicious home style cooking and had lots of vegetarian (and dairy free) options. The hot springs were more like public pools than natural springs but still unique and really enjoyable, and you can order beer and cocktails. Overall communication was excellent, our pick up was prompt and we were kept informed throughout the day of what was planned. Be prepared to tip your horseback guide 200 pesos per person. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking a unique and beautiful way to see the countryside!

A MUST in you SMA trip!

Cristina_D, Mar 2024
Beth was the ultimate guide and host! Horses were sweet and gentle. Lunch was amazing! Hot Springs were a relaxing end in a lush and beautiful setting. If going to SMA include this in your trip!

Ready for an adventure!!

Brooks_S, Feb 2024
The experience was amazing! From the beginning Beth took care of us. She has a passion for what she does and takes care of the local communities. She was a joy to hang out with, and educated us about the horse riding, the lunch and the hot springs. Also the lunch was authentic Mexican food cooked onsite of the ranch. We are so lucky to have done this on our 25th anniversary, it was truly a blessing and one of the most memorable experiences ever!!

Do not miss this!

Ashley_S, Jan 2024
We had the very best time, this is a do not miss!!! Beth is an excellent guide as are all of the cowboys. The hot springs was a great way to end the day. The lunch was also absolutely fantastic!

Riding and relaxing- all in one day!

Jennifer_P, Dec 2023
This was the best combo- after a nice ride on a ranch outside of the town you could relax in the hot springs and recharge. We loved the opportunity to see San Miguel in a different way and get outside of the city. The riding and hot springs were a great addition to our vacation! And Beth was a wonderful guide. Thank you again!!!

Beautiful experience

Elena_A, Nov 2023
Beautiful experience riding on a quite challenging trail but horses and guides are amazing - wonderful views and opportunity to see canyons and lots of nature. The highlight is authentic made from scratch lunch at the farm and then if you are sore- amazing soaking experience in mineral bath. I highly recommend this experience to those who want to experience beautiful animals and get out of the city for a day. Very friendly and knowledgable owner.

Excellent combination trip

IONUT_I, Nov 2023
Excellent combination trip for the whole day! Beth is doing a very good job planning and driving. We need to acknowledge the 2 cowboys (vaqueros) Reyes and Catalino who really managed the horses (Colorado, Chocolate and Pulque). Authentic Mexican lunch served between the activities.

BEST trail ride ever!

Ann_J, Nov 2023
Best. Trail ride. Ever!!! Don't miss this wonderful tour. You'll get a magnificently scenic and lengthy ride on horseback with seasoned and friendly guides, a delicious homemade ranch lunch, and a chance to soak your weary bones on some beautiful hot springs. Beth, the guide, is terrific and very accommodating. Highly recommended!

Excellent combo horse riding, lunch and hot spring experience

Nalneesh_G, Sep 2023
I had an incredibly memorable experience on the "Combination Trail Riding and Hot Springs" tour in San Miguel de Allende. Host Beth was amazing, picking us up and ensuring everything went smoothly. After 2 hours of horse riding, the lunch provided was the best freshly cooked and authentic meal I've had. The relaxing dip in the hot springs afterward was the perfect way to unwind. This tour offers excellent value and comes highly recommended!

Had an Absolute Blast

Shaundra_M, Jun 2023
My fiancé and I are in San Miguel volunteering and we’re on a tight budget, so I wasn’t too sure about booking this excursion- HOWEVER, it was a million times worth it. We will never forget the beautiful 6 mile trail ride, the lovely home-made lunch, and relaxing thermal pools. It truly made for the perfect day. If you are on the fence, I urge you to book this tour with Beth and her team.

Signed up for this experience the night before because friends were going. I really enjoyed the landscape, food and relaxing vibe.

Terrific day!

Chris_Q, Nov 2022
We had an awesome day with Beth and her team! Morning was a beautiful ride. It was not the typical nose-to-tail experience, rather it was a spirited ride that catered to various experience levels. It was a blast. The ride was followed by a terrific homemade lunch, and then a visit to the hot springs. It was very much a locals experience, and we loved every minute of it. Thank you Beth for a terrific day.

Enjoyable and very relaxing tour

Nenad_K, Nov 2022
Tre trail is long enough with beautiful, peaceful scenery and at the end we were rewarded with delicious local homemade lunch. The spa was not overcrowded, which was good so we could enjoyed even more. The spa is nested in a quiet park which elevates the whole experience.
