The views of the volcano are spectacular (if the skies are clear). The hot springs are relaxing and there are plenty to discover so that it did not feel crowded. The buffet lunch in the restaurant was delicious. The changing room and lockers were convenient for day trip travelers.

Poor, overpriced experience. Tried to skip the volcano. Left us for 6 hours at the hot springs. No reason for it to start at 430am. Don't recommend at all.

Great day! Baldi resort and hot springs is beautiful and so relaxing. Being dramine if you get car sick because it’s 3 hours of twisty roads to get back to San Jose! But so worth it!

Long ride to get to the destination and back but a very scenic ride. A good amount of time at the volcano observation point to walk around, do a short hike and take pictures. Plenty of time to relax at the hot springs resort. Make sure to have a change of clothes and a bathing suit. Have cash or a Visa or Mastercard to pay for drinks or additional food.

Useless experience , charged for volcano and baldi springs but was taken directly to resort without even showing the glimpse of volcano The whole trip was a waste of time, flight , hotel plus 300 for the tour for 2 people . Total disappointed and felt like cheated .

picked up was very early at 5:30am. We were taken to a restaurant for breakfast but it was self funded. We already ate breakfast in our apartment-hotel. It generally takes a long time to drive to a destination. We only spent 20 minutes in the volcano and the cloud was covering it so not much to see. We spent almost 5 hours in the Baldi hot spring and that resort was nice because it has many pools. I hope their lockers and changing rooms are bigger and easier to use and it cost $7 USD / locker.

Save your money. Tour guide and driver did not interact with group (4) at all. Basically just a taxi service. Only spent 15-20 minutes at the volcano. Guide had nothing to add..no history, anything. Driver and guide were very unprofessional. Such a waste, 4 hrs at hot springs…left on your own. 4 hrs is a bit extreme when CR has so much to see/do

Incredible tour

Our tour guide was incredible. First our meeting point was at 6am when we woke up, our car battery died and couldn’t find a jump. By the time we call the car company for help it was already 6:30am. I tried to cancel but it was too late, the tour company came to pick us up which was incredibly thoughtful (thank you for that). The tour to La fortuna was very insightful. The volcano was awesome then OMG the Baldi was to die for, I could stay there all day. Hot water everywhere from the entrance until the end, nonstop, I loved it. Next time I’m in Costa Rica I’m definitely staying in the Caribbean side for sure.

This trip was a big disappointment - first, the tour guide was awful. She was disorganized and unprepared. It was never advertised that this was a mixed Spanish and English tour. The stop at Arenal volcano was just that - a stop to look at the volcano. She didn’t provide much information at all. Then Baldi - we had to wait in line - it did not seem that the tour co had pre-arranged our visit - took awhile to get wrist bands etc. She didn’t know anything about the place including info on lockers and towels. Also, we were told pick up between 7-8 - tried to get a better handle on the exact time through the app but unable to contact the tour co. We were picked up at 8:30. Never mentioned anywhere that the tour would not get back to San Jose until after 8 pm - missed our dinner reservations. Just a bad experience overall.

Nothing described in the information was true I only spent 20 minutes in the viewpoint of the volcano and 2 hours in the hot springs the worst was the guide !!!! I didn’t know where she was standing or know the place either I didn’t know anything when you asked her something .....what if I knew was to hurry at lunchtime to leave !!! 'Cause I wanted to get to the bad bunny concert that's what I talk to the driver all the way through. We didn't eat lunch at all unhappy and the whole group thought the same thing. We were 9 people. Until I wanted to know who you are. To ask for half my money.
