It was a three hour ride but didn't seem like that at all. Our guide,Carlos, was friendly and informative along the drive pointing out things and even stopping quickly for a few pics.

Great transfer, on time, smooth and sensible driver. I was nervous when the weather turned but driver was sensible and we really enjoyed the scenery and travel.

We got from San Jose to La Fortuna, but it wasn’t comfortable. The driver drove way too fast (I was almost thrown from my aisle seat) and we were all crammed in pretty tight. The van was clean and well-maintained. The driver was gracious and stopped for bathroom and drink breaks. He didn’t speak English. We would probably book a private van next time for the extra comfort.

Terrible, do not book for your trip!

We knew the drive from San Jose to La Fortuna would be a long one so we asked the company weeks before if we could change the pick-up time from 1:30 pm to an earlier time, they said changing the time is not possible and its also non-refundable. Then the day before our trip they contacted us and said the pick-up time is now changed to 2 pm. Then the driver arrived 30 mins late, so we’re not on the road until 2:45 pm. The driver also doesn’t speak English even though the website said English guide. There was also no WIFI on board like they advertised either. The drive was supposed to be 3 hours 18 mins turned into 5 hours. We arrived to our resort in the dark and we were late to our dinner reservation. Overall experience was terrible. We left San Jose in daylight and arrived in darkness. Do not book this for your trip.

Danny was great! Right on time to pick us up from our hotel in San Jose. We had a nice stop for a leg stretch and some breakfast along the way. The van was air conditioned and had Wi-Fi, which did come in handy as I needed to confirm an activity later in the afternoon. We reached our destination on time. I definitely recommend.

Great driver, wrong information from company

Positives: Driver was wonderful. He navigated treacherous road conditions to get us to La Fortuna, with ease. Shuttle was very nice. AC was working great and there was wifi available, which made it possible for me to communicate with my Airbnb host, since I didn't manage to get a SIM card in the airport. Negatives: The company gave us wrong information when we were booking this. I was told that it would not be possible for them to pick me up from the airport and drop me off at anyplace other than a hotel, when I made the booking. So I had to take a taxi from the airport to a nearby hotel in San Jose and was dropped off at a hotel near my Airbnb in La Fortuna. Surprisingly, the shuttle that picked me up also picked up others from the airport and dropped them off at an Airbnb in La Fortuna. I don't understand why it wasn't possible for me, but was possible for other riders.
