Perfect to learn about the food and culture of Costa Rica
When I travel to other countries or even the US, I often look for food tours so I was excited to do one here in San Jose. And it did not disappoint! I loved seeing the chaos of the real markets and being able to taste some new kinds of fruit. The prepared food at the end was delicious and I am so glad I had the chance to try these authentic Costa Rican foods. Oscar was a wonderful guide weaving together information about the food, culture and history of his city. The final stop at Mr. Sloth Coffee was a perfect end of the tour. Thank for this wonderful experience!!

See San José by bike!
We had a great time on our tour, there was a protest march on at the time and Jorge took care to alter our route so that we did not get mixed up in it! We had some really tasty food and learned about coffee in a very classy coffee restaurant where we got to drink eome special coffee. Jorge was extremely knowledgeable about the history of San Jose and Costa Rica. Highly recommended tour!

Delicious food, amazing tour
Angel was AMAZING! Very entertaining, the food was delicioussssss, very interactive. The drinks were amazing. You get to walk and see where the locals hang and explore culture then you go to a nice place and begin the cooking and cocktail class! I can’t believe the food was that good honestly. The whole thing was a 10/10. One of the most enjoyable things I did in Costa Rica

Very enjoyable walking tour of San Jose.
The San Jose walking tour w/ pub & restaurants was a lot of fun. Ending the tour with a fun dinner in Barrio Escalante. Joanna did a great job & we recommended this tour to a number of our friends. We’d do this one again, for sure. Tom G. Fairhope, AL. USA

San Jose food tours are arguably the best introduction to Costa Rica’s vibrant capital city. These tours traverse the city’s diverse neighborhoods and let you sample dishes from renowned restaurants, street vendors, and under-the-radar gems. Whether you opt for a private or small group tour, your itinerary may include bites of local chocolate; sips of wine, coffee, or cocktails; or stops at local markets to sample fruits and vegetables.
