- Minimum age is 6 years
- Our prices are the same for both children and adults. If we have children participating we always aim to have an extra guide for supervision. When you book your surf lesson, please specify whether the participants are children.
- Group size Minimum 2 and Maximum 10 participants.
- Please bring a towel, sandals, sunscreen,sunglasses and swinwear
- As it is a private tour, you have the option to choose your preferred pick-up time within the indicated time frame.
- We recommend as early a start as possible as in the mornings there is less wind and cleaner waves, so the conditions are usually more favorable.
- As we know, the weather is a factor that can lead us to modify our day; sometimes, we will have to change location, re-schedule, and cancel (the refund will be issued 100% in case of cancellation by us). You will be informed of the options, and you will make the decision. Factors that could influence this are rain, high swell, wind, and jellyfish.
- For every 3 people in a class, there will be 1 guide/coach
- We use foam boards for our surf lessons. If you prefer a fiberglass surfboard please be sure to request this in advance at the time of booking.
- Since this is a private tour, you can decide whether or not to complete the full activity
- To join the lesson as an observer you have to book a non-surfer/companion spot on our transport. The non-surfer/companion fee includes round trip transportation, shaded camp (umbrellas and chairs), bottled water and snacks. You’ll be able to enjoy the beach at our camp while observing the surf lesson. To book, simply select “observer (non-surfer)”.
- All transfers are complementary and optional, therefore the price doesn’t change if you don’t use the transfer option.
- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 48 hours in advance of the start date of the experience. No show or last minute cancellation will be charged in full. This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
- This tour operate from March 15th to November 15th (we do not have waves in the wintertime at Costa Azul area, Cerrito's option available on those dates)
- This is a private tour/activity. Only your group will participate

Excellent communication by text from the tour operator prior to the excursion, including detailed instructions about the pick up point. Sol and Marcos picked us up on time and provided safe travel to and from beautiful Costa Azul. Both gentlemen are delightful people as well as patient and informative teachers, ever mindful of our safety especially the 8 year old in our group and one adult who are novice swimmers. Sol and Marcos celebrated our progress and offered useful tips for improving our surf skills. Lord willing, we'll return to Cabo and would certainly surf again, and hopefully kayak or hike with our new friends, Sol and Marcos! Muchas gracias for an outstanding experience!

A great experience for families. We have a 13 year old daughter who is anxious to surf again and this is due to the instruction from Alan. Alan was patient and engaging and made the experience incredible. Alan picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel and was very knowledgeable about the area. We wore wetsuits which were good to have even though the water temperature was pleasant in March. Alan worked to our individual strengths on the water and all three of us were able to stand up on a wave even though we have never tried surfing before. Thank you to Alan for such a memorable experience!

I am extremely upset and disappointed in Private Los Cabos surf lesson. It is a parent’s worst fear to send their child away for a class, and have them come back unsafe and hurt. My 6 year old son fell onto the surfboard and his lip, chin, and nose were cut open. He had to go to emergency to have 3 stitches. I understand accidents happen, but the teachers should have given him more instructions and training before letting him out to the ocean. In addition, there needed to be much more handholding, foresight experience, and careful watching for a first time young child surfer. The teachers had the audacity to say this happens all the time to the kids. I cannot express the sadness I feel when I look at his face. The picture was taken next day, after 5 sessions of icing the wound. We still have several days of vacation left where he cannot enjoy himself and activities such as the pool, due to possible infection. If this is the kind of trip you want for your family, then I would encourage you to pay and sign up for this surf tour. If not, I CANNOT recommend.

We sincerely apologize for the unfortunate incident that occurred. We understand that accidents can happen, but we want to clarify that they do not happen all the time. We regret that the instructor made a statement suggesting otherwise, he was talking about dropping off the board, not accidents.
It's essential to note that your child fell forward, not backward, as demonstrated by the instructor during the class. We acknowledge that you had already pointed this out to your child.
In response to the situation, we took immediate action to assist you. One of our guides accompanied you to the hospital while the rest of your family continued with the lesson under the supervision of another guide.
Once again, we offer our sincere apologies for any distress this incident may have caused. Our primary concern is the safety and well-being of our participants, and we assure you that we will review our safety protocols to prevent similar incidents in the future.
