The farm owners showed us the whole farm and explained everything to us. They were always open for questions, and gave us a really warm and friendly welcome. We had a good impression of how the reindeers are living there and living a good life in space and peace.
It didn‘t feel like we were strangers on a tour but visiting old friends.
We would really recommend this experience!

Just an incredible tour with Juho on his family's reindeer farm with nonstop highlights all morning - feeding the reindeer, watching Juho's father interact with the herd, enjoying homemade pancakes and berry jams made by Juho's mother Liisa, and getting to walk the adorable Noppe in the forest. Loved that White Winter Lapland is a working, non-touristy farm that lets their reindeer live as they wish without forcing them to do anything (even the walk), and that the family works the farm themselves and were happy to share nuggets on reindeer herding and life in Lapland with us.
Would love to visit again some day!

Hands down the best reindeer experience we could have asked for. It was just my friend and I! Juho's family owns the reindeer farm, and they it was all hand built. His mother Liisa picked us up. She was instantly warm and welcoming and we got to know the history of the family farm and reindeer in Finland on the car ride over, fed the reindeer and she made us some pancakes and her home made jams and pancakes by a fire. We had a lovely walk through the forest with the reindeer after. It was an absolute pleasure spending the day at Winter Lapland and we highly recommend it! It is the perfect representation of a beautiful reindeer farm lifestyle and his entire family made us feel very at home.

It was just amazing! Amazing family! We were surrounded pure warmth and care! All tours was very relaxed! In the midst of a series of hectic vacation days, it was truly a day of rest. Great people, house made food and drinks! Hand made pancakes, jam and juice from local berries! Friendly talks, a lot of attention and care!! Nice to see all animals treated with love. We could fees them and walk with they! I wish all the best to this wonderful people! I hardly recommend to book this tour if you want to meet good people and see pure life of reindeers ( without commercial influence)!

Thinking about doing this…. Just do it! A wonderful authentic reindeer farm in the middle of nowhere, hosted by a fantastic family who have owned it for 50 years. Seeing the reindeer’s in a natural environment was so lovely, the kids adored it. The family couldn’t be more welcoming and kind. We got to spend time with the reindeer and learn about their life. As a vegan animal welfare was important to me, and I could see how loved the reindeer are by the family. A definite highlight of the trip! Juho was an amazing host- thank you so much!

From when our host picked us up until we arrived back in Rovaniemi over three hours later everything about this tour was authentic. On the drive to the reindeer farm, our host told us about the history of his family's reindeer farm, what we could expect from our visit and spoke to us about the laws governing reindeer herding. When we arrived at the reindeer farm, the reindeer gradually approached looking for food. Our host demonstrated and explained how to hand feed the reindeer. Being able to stand in amongst the reindeer herd and hand feed them was very memorable. Our host's parents greeted us while we were feeding the reindeer and when we got cold, we were welcomed into a small hut where hot drinks, hot food and a roaring wood fire awaited us. We spent time in conversation with the reindeer farmers learning more about how they look after the reindeer. After warming up, we walked through a private secluded forest leading one of the reindeer. We followed the reindeer tracks through the deep snow in the forest and stopped occasionally to listen. The forest was completely silent. The only noises came from us and the reindeer that we were leading. This was a fantastic experience and so unique from anything offered by any other tour operator in Rovaniemi. We highly recommend this memorable tour to anybody who is seeking an authentic reindeer experience.

This has been my favorite tour in Rovaniemi. I wanted to have a reindeer experience but many seemed quite commercial and hectic. This was a perfect few hours of peace and quiet, first driving through a snowy landscape with the prettiest sky, then stepping out into the farm with the reindeer who were wary, curious, hungry, each having their own personalities. I will treasure the memory of walking the reindeer Nuupe (I think, not sure spelling) through the forest, spotting fox and reindeer tracks, and coming out onto golden sunlight. The other visitors on the tour were so happy and sweet as well. Many thanks to Juho and his parents who may truly be the kindest people I have ever met. I almost feel like his mother Liisa saw straight into my heart and Ioved talking with her fireside in the kota. Juho is a professional and exceptional guide and I hope to return one day and take another tour with White Winter Lapland. Thank you so much, gamsahabnida, kiitos.

What an amazing experience, with the loveliest of people, in a stunning environment. I visited the farm with my adult daughter and we both had a wonderful time learning about reindeer, spending time with them and feeding them, and taking a walk with Muppe, the funniest of all reindeers! The drive there itself was like a gateway into a world of incomparable natural beauty. The cherry on top was sitting down with our hosts around the fire, eating delicious pancakes and drinking homemade warm blueberry juice, and chatting about family, football, pets (including reindeers of course), as if we had been friends forever. Unforgettable. A must do.

The Reindeer Walk and Farm visit was one of the most amazing experiences I had in Lapland. Juho who welcomed me his into family kept farm which had over 80 reindeer which were amazing creatures. We then were able to feed them and learn more about them and their nature as we took them for a walk. We also met Juho’s parents who were very sweet and kind and made us pancakes and warm blueberry juice after the walk. They are some of the nicest, kind hearted people I have ever met. We then all sat around the fire and shared experiences and life stories as the snow came down outside - an experience that I’ll never forget. Thankyou!

What a wonderful and genuine experience this is! We had a relaxing morning on the family run farm feeding reindeer and then a walk in the snow covered forest with our new reindeer friend Nuupe. Homemade snacks afterwards were delicious around the fire in a warmed hut with the family. If you have any interest in reindeer beyond sleighing and looking for a less hectic half day, I would recommend this highly. One of our favourite outings of our stay in Rovaniemi, we want to come back, thank you!

This was truly an extraordinary and unforgettable experience. From the very first moment, we felt how authentic and personal this reindeer farm is. The owners were incredibly warm, welcoming and passionate, and they really made the day memorable for our whole family.
We started by feeding the reindeer, which was such a special experience. Afterwards, we warmed up in a cozy little hut by an open fire, where the family treated us to delicious snacks and hot drinks while sharing fascinating stories about reindeer herding, their life and traditions. It felt very genuine and far away from mass tourism.
The peaceful walk with a reindeer through the snowy forest was the perfect ending.
