Breathing in petrol/diesel fumes, started late, no offer of snowsuit gloves etc, lack of organisation, extremely bumpy freezing conditions, begged for blankets as we had not been given. No stopping only once after an hour and then was far too long.. 20 mins . Children and older people suffering ..horrible experience and not enjoyable.

Amazing! 100% would go again!
We unfortunately had a mix up with information- we booked with the understanding we would have hotel pick up, this was not the case. We ended up having to find our own way to the tour location as we were unable to get the office in time. You have to arrive at the office 45mins ahead - worth keeping in mind when you book.
We saw the Northern lights before we had even left on the sledge tour which was cool!
If you think you have enough layers on, you don't. Add more. They provide blankets on the sledge, but it is freezing out there.
We definitely weren't prepared and our kids were quite upset at the end - no fault to the tour operators, 100% our fault and a lack of forward planning time when we realised we were going to have uber to the tour location.
Side note to this - please don't take it out on the tour guides if you choose to take your children and they are cold. It's our responsibility as parents to make sure our kids have enough clothing, socks, etc. to keep them warm out there.
Jack was one of the sledge "drivers" & ended up dropping us home. He was lovely and chatted to us the whole way back - including joking with the kids.
We would go again! It was an incredible experience.

I really wanted this to be a wonderful experience but the extreme cold and lack of any appearance of the northern lights was a disappointment (although nobody’s fault of course). The organisation and efficiency of all concerned was excellent but The very bumpy ride was most uncomfortable and I found it overlong driving fast through miles of forest. Wearing a helmet is obviously advisable but was uncomfortable and the visor makes the vision poor.
However I am older and think it was not suitable for me. There were plenty of younger participants enjoying it. I think this should be flagged up in the description. Getting in and out of the sleigh needed more flexibility that I have as they are low. Also the overalls supplied don’t fit well if you are short or unusual shape. I had no problem with it myself but there were a few who had problems finding something to fit.
Lastly, since it was very cloudy, I think the ride could have been shortened since it was -25degrees.

Even though we were not lucky enough to see the nothern lights, the tour was awesome. It was a Great expirience. The best Part was defenitly our tour Guide Alex who was very funny, nice, caring and gave us Lots of Information on the nothern lights. We would 100% recommend this tour!

This was the worst tour I've ever been on. First of all, if it is cloudy don't go on this tour. They will take you out anyway just to make money, knowing that you won't be able to see the northern lights. They tell you of maybe we will see them. You won't. It was super cold. I couldn't even move or even get out of the sledge when we got to the tundra. Waste of money and was torturing cold.

We understand that our late-night northern lights tours during winter can be quite chilly. To keep you comfortable and warm, we always have blankets available for your use.

First up - the staff were great, our kids were cold and tired and they were super kind and considerate. However the overall experience was disappointing - we weren’t expecting to be taken so close to the road and Rovaniemi town. It was a clear night and the northern lights were there but because there was so much light pollution it really didn’t feel that special… others at our accomodation went on other tours that night and had a far better experience. Finland is a beautiful wilderness, if that’s what you want then this isn’t the tour, if you prefer proximity to civilisation then this is the one.

We are happy to hear you enjoyed your time with our super guides and that they took good care of you. On the other hand, we are sorry you didn’t enjoy the overall experience. As we depart from the Santa Claus Village, we are in a lit area. The tour goes that before or after the bbq, guides should take you driving through swamps where it is darker, if the track there is covered with enough snow. As we have less snow than usual this year, it could be that they couldn’t take you there that night and we are sorry for that.

Our tour guide Martio was exceptional!! We were lucky enough to see a great show of the northern lights and he helped with picture taking as well as providing the perfect location.
We had hot juice and cookies around a campfire on a frozen body of water in the wilderness it was just magical.

We didn’t get to see the Northern Lights but that was purely because of the weather! BUT we enjoyed the ride tremendously, and was a good experience nevertheless. I would suggest check the weather before booking though

Well organized group. They picked us up from our apartment location and we were shuttled to the location where we were provided with all our gear, boots, thermal overalls, helmets and gloves. The sledge ride was nice, although we were expecting it be be a little more fast paced. The duration of the ride was the perfect length in the chilly weather. We did not actually get to see the northern lights we we were very close had there not been clouds! The guides were very informative in the types of northern lights, explaining the kp levels and making sure that we were doing well the whole way. They did an excellent job.

Tia et Aïna sont super gentilles et très à l'écoute des clients ! Je n'aurais pas pu rêver mieux comme dernière soirée.
Même si nous n'avons pas vu d'aurores cette nuit-là c'était un bon moment ! On a pu admirer la nature de nuit et elles connaissent de bons spots pour voir les aurores. Malheureusement pour moi, il y avait trop de nuages...
Il y a des couvertures à disposition, ainsi que des boissons chaudes et des biscuits. N'hésitez pas à rajouter des couches (surtout les hauts et les chaussettes).
