This husky mushing experience was absolutely magical and one of the highlights of our time in Rovaniemi.
From the very beginning everything was smooth and well organized — the shuttle was included, and even though it’s about a 40–45 minute drive outside the city, the location is 100% worth it. Snow everywhere, stunning views, and that peaceful Lapland atmosphere that feels unreal.
What makes this tour truly special is that you actually get to drive the husky sleigh yourself, which is such an exciting experience (and honestly a little adrenaline too in the best way 😍). You also get plenty of time to pet the huskies, interact with them, and enjoy the whole setting instead of feeling rushed.
As a huge dog lover, I really appreciated how well the team cares for the huskies. You can tell they are treated with love and respect — the dogs get proper rest, they’re well fed, and the overall environment feels ethical and professional.
They also provide clear instructions to make sure everyone drives safely, and having a small group makes a massive difference — it feels more personal, calm, and enjoyable.
To end the experience on a cozy note, they also offered snacks afterwards (sausages, cookies, and warm tea), which was the perfect way to warm up and just take in everything we had just lived.
No “meh” moments at all. I would recommend this to anyone: couples, solo travelers, friends, families… it’s a must-do in Lapland.

Absolutely amazing experience. A fairly long ride in a van at full capacity felt a little tight but doable. Once at the destination we could stretch out and then enjoy the ride. Having total control of the beautiful huskies felt safe with experienced guides close by. The company do supply all weather attire which is definitely needed. Definitely worth the experience.

Prompt and organised pick up, with only one other couple. When we arrived there was a family of 4 as well but overall a very small group. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The sledding was fun and we loved the dogs - they are so energetic and strong! And they each have their own personalities. We had time to pet the dogs and chat with staff afterwards before snacks in the cosy hut. We even did some tobogganing as a bonus. A great afternoon

Myself, husband and two children Age 12&7 got picked up dead on time, a quick 45minute journey. There was a lovely family in the minibus which we became friends with. When we got there, we were offered winter suits/shoes but we had already had our own. We were a small group of 12. We were shown what to do then off we went. What an experience!!!! Wow wow wow… it was a good 35minutes with a stop have way to change over from driving the huskies. Afterwards we got to pet them and have photos. We were then showed into a tent with a fire pit. We had the best hot sausages, gluten free or vegetarian sausage ,hot berry juice and cookies. We brought our own marshmallow to toast which was allowed. Then we could go sledging with the other family. We had great fun and were back for 4pm. Wish we could do it again. It was great value and a must. ☺️ thank you.

Simply amazing experience! I high recommend it, if doing a husky ride at lapland is something in your bucket list, then I assure you will not go wrong with this tour! All the staffs there are extremely professional, experiend and friendly! I have some best memories of my life when riding with those cute huskies! Come join it, you won't regret!

The time of the trip includes 45 minutes travel each way. However, the husky safari is great but hard on your upper arms if you have to do the whole trip. The driving is relatively easy as it is quite intuitive. The sausage and drink was nice and there is a great slope for sledding. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

It was a truly stunning experience with great and supportive guides who instructed us well to ensure both we and the husky’s were safe. The track through the forest was absolutely beautiful and our ride finished at sunset. So the sky was spectacular. I would recommend this wonderful experience to anyone travelling to Lapland.

Everything about this was perfect. The huskies were full of energy running on a long enough track which was full of snow. The farm is bit far from the city so lots of snow

We had a great time from start to finish ,we were picked up at our hotel driven through beautiful snow covered countryside, set up with our gorgeous Huskys and Sled , A very good guide on how to drive and stay safe ,warm clothing and boots if needed and we were off ,photos and a video taken by a guide with our phones for our memories ,no extra charges for their photos you can buy ,it was all a very genuine an authentic experience we will remember for ever and at the end cuddles with the dogs, a hot beverage and some food in the wood heated timber huts sitting on Reindeer pelts and talking about life in Finland just amazing, dropped back to our hotel with smiles on our faces.

Our husky sledding adventure was the highlight of our trip. The driver was punctual and delightful, ensuring a pleasant 45-minute journey from the city center to the farm. Upon arrival, we were provided with overalls to those who needed it; however, it’s essential to bring your own hats, scarves, face coverings, (we even had bought our ski goggles which was optional but useful).
The huskies were incredibly friendly and energetic. First you ride with them for 30-40 mins (including a picture stop in between) then you get time to pet them after you get back. Operating the sleigh requires some physical strength, as the dogs are eager to run and resist stopping. It’s crucial to manage the sleigh effectively, including lifting it when necessary to halt the team.
After an exhilarating 40-minute ride through enchanting evergreen forests, we relaxed by a fire in a charming hut, enjoying sausages, hot berry juice, and cookies. This serene experience far surpassed similar activity in Santa’s village where the place is small with long lines (but they have a gift shop that this place does not) , offering a truly magical connection with nature.
Please note, there is no gift shop on-site. Nonetheless, this authentic and unforgettable experience comes highly recommended for anyone seeking adventure and tranquility.

This was by far the best of the trips we did during our stay. It was magical. The staff are lovely, attentive and always watching out for the guests. The dogs are well trained, friendly and very very good fun. The ride was long, with a stop for photos and a chance to change “drivers”. This is the first thing I would do again if returning to the area!!! A wonderful day and great for everyone (my mother aged 81 and my daughter aged 9 had as much fun as me!! )

Cannot recommend enough! Everything is very well organized and the dogs are great. Honestly a once in a lifetime experience that you won't regret or forget. Dogs are pretty strong and can take off so you do need to work a bit to keep it under control - but honestly that makes it even more fun and rewarding!

Wow!! This was INCREDIBLE!!! We absolutely loved this and it was the highlight of our trip. We’re on a budget, but this was still well worth the money spent. The best thing about this ride is that you are truly out in the wilderness, nothing else around. Snow was high, even in April, so you felt like you were driving down a snow tunnel. The guides were great giving info on the dogs and also took amazing photos of us. The length felt just right. You get to drive for half, then swap with your partner and sit in the sleigh. Just as you’re getting cold and the thrill has worn off, it ended. And then you get to cuddle the dogs and go into a little wooden hut for sausage! A few things to note. The ride is maybe 20-40mins? Somewhere around there but feels much longer as you are in the middle of the forest. The dogs are Alaskan huskies, not the big fluffy huskies if you’re set on that type of breed. But it’s actually more ethical to have Alaskan huskies in Finland (than Siberian) and the dogs LOVED a pat afterwards. They are honestly so cute, they looked like Balto!!! It’s also a 45 min drive in the car south, but it went quick and worth it to get the scenery on the dog ride. The other good thing is we never felt rushed. Heaps of time with the dogs, heaps of time in the hut. Even went sledding for a bit. Perfect!! Please book this it’s sooooo good!!!!!

The highlight of our trip. The tour was very enjoyable and the guides were super friendly! Afterwards, we were allowed to cuddle with the dogs and received refreshments in a very cozy Finnish cabin.

It was an AMAZING experience. The trail is just magical, the views are incredible. The ride feels like a bonafide husky sled ride, not like others that take around a track, here you are actually riding fast about an hour through the frozen forest. The only thing I did not like is that compared to other activities the guides did not provide any information about the dogs, the area, or general information about the experience.
It was just instructions on what to wear and how to ride and that’s it. No more. I would still come back.

Eventough we had some pick up problems (no Info email about the time) the rest of the experience was great, beautiful scenery, enough time to enjoy, meet the dogs, eat and get Infos. The dog sledding by yourself is a lot of fun and I would love to do it again :)

It was absolutely amazing!! The driver and all the staff were welcoming and accommodating, making sure everything was ok.
The dogs were so energetic and ready to go as soon as they saw us arrive. We got a quick lesson for the drivers of the cart (yes we get to drive!) and then we were ready to go as well.
During the ride with the team we made our way out of the farm and into the forest. Winding through the trees on a well worn but interesting path, the best moments were when it opened up into an open field. With the falling snow and the dogs rushing and panting in front of you it is magical.
We had a couple of stops to deal with the dogs getting tangled (and someone had a small tumble) but overall it was really smooth and just an incredible journey with the dogs.
Afterwards the team brought us into the kota (hut) and we had some sausages with sauces and some warm berry juice. We all warmed up and talked amongst ourselves for a while, got our license to dog sled, and headed out.
What a perfect day. Thanks so much to the team and especially the dogs that all worked so hard!
