Great tour with Adair! She was very knowledgeable about the area and helped people find their hotels.
Friendly and efficient pick up at the quay in Ravenna, comfortable ride to Venice, excellent and informative tour with the wonderful Adair providing engaging stories and commentary, plus a gondola ride. All in all a hugely enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!
If you're looking for a fast paced tour where you get to experience a lot in one swoop, this is it. But you are literally skimming everything. There is no free time on your own, you're part of a small group and begging for a bathroom break, everything is timed out to get you to the water taxi, the gondola, back to the taxi, etc. This isn't a leisurely stroll and there is no free time built in. However, with that being said, if thats what you're looking for, this is a well choreographed excursion and our guide, Sebastian, was excellent. He was local, extremely knowledgeable, took us to off the beaten path alley ways, answered our many questions and was a great story teller. He also did what he needed to do to keep the group together and on time. The driver that picked us up at the port in Ravello, Stephano, was also great. He spoke English well enough and allowed us a bathroom pit stop during the 2 hour car ride when we asked, but reminded us gently that we needed to stay on schedule. Personally I would do a private tour next time where I could relax and direct how the day flowed, but for what this tour is designed to be, it was well structured.

Just to clarify for future guests: most of our Ravenna cruise passengers are visiting Venice for the first time and will stay at a hotel in Venice afterwards. Our focus is therefore on making the most of the time with our local guide - covering the highlights, sharing the history and culture, but also helping guests feel comfortable and confident navigating Venice on their own. With the crowds, narrow streets and maze-like layout, Venice can certainly feel overwhelming at first!
For this reason, the tour is intentionally structured and does not include free time; we don’t advertise free time as part of the itinerary. We’re sorry if that was expected, but hope this helps future guests understand what the experience is designed to offer. For those wanting a slower, fully flexible pace, a private tour would certainly be the better choice.

Do not hesitate to book this! I was very apprehensive to pay so much money as soon as booking instead of the usual 2 day window. We had 8 people in our group so we had a personal tour. It was amazing and seamless from beginning to end. Communications were very informative, there was nothing left unanswered. We were picked up by our driver, Paolo as instructed in a timely manner. Very comfortable van. He drove us to meet our tour guide Monica. Amazing tour by a very knowledgeable guide. I couldn't imagine it being more perfect. The tour went beyond our expectations. We opted to be driven to our hotel afterwards. Thank you all for such a wonderful tour that was completed flawless!!

Very informative, spoke perfect English, there is a lot of walking and many stairs as you cross over the bridges around the city, be prepared if you aren’t fleet of foot.
Adair was awesome and shared her wealth of knowledge. She was very informative and aware of our groups interests and needs. Great experience that I would highly recommend.
Claudia was great! We loved every aspect of the tour and learned so much about Venice. Our trip from the port to our tour and then to our hotel was stress-free, thanks to our driver.
Honestly, I had very high expectations due to the high cost for a 9 hr excursion (2hrs and 15mins travel by vehicle out of the 9). It rained horribly and we did not really get to enjoy or learn much about Venice. The boat ride to San Marco Piazza was uncomfortable and the windows were pretty much steamed up. The gondola driver said really nothing to us at all and we had to sit sideways as the other couple got on first and it did not feel even romantic...rather, very weird especially to take pictures. After, it rained again so hard we spent most of our time in a bar to seek shelter and purchase a drink. The tour guide was very sweet lady & good but it was just difficult to really hear properly and see anything. I don't really advise this tour...I would recommend to just hire a limo/car service to bring you to Venice and tour yourself or pay a local guide. Very disappointed as this was my anniversary gift to my husband for our 35th and don't really feel we experienced what we should have. After spending 1200.00 plus CDN$ I feel I was ripped off. Not sure if I will do something similar again.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We are genuinely sorry that the weather had such a major impact on your anniversary visit to Venice. Unfortunately, torrential rain and poor visibility are completely outside our control, and on this particular day there was very little we could do to make sightseeing as enjoyable as it normally is.
A few points are worth clarifying for future guests. We use traditional Venetian boats for the transfer to San Marco, with modern, comfortable and upgraded interiors. This is the first time we have received feedback describing the boat in this way. Our gondola rides are also operated by authentic Italian gondoliers, and it is normal for the gondolier not to provide commentary during the ride. As this was a shared tour, the gondola was shared with other guests (it accommodates up to five people). We actually left one seat empty to provide additional comfort.
Guests looking for a more intimate or romantic experience can choose a private tour or request a private gondola, but this was not requested when the tour was booked.
We are especially sorry to hear that you felt “ripped off.” We take great pride in providing carefully planned, comfortable and stress-free experiences from Ravenna to Venice, and that is certainly not the feeling we want any guest to leave with. Venice is an expensive destination, and we work hard to make the experience as seamless and magical as possible. We truly regret that, on a day with such challenging weather, this was not your experience.

Wonderful service! Exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond as they picked up us up directly inside our hotel, walked us to the water taxi, located our luggage’s, and 30 min ride to the airport.
They also walked us all the way over the airport check in desk which was so wonderful!
We were met at the port by our driver. Once in Venice he had our guide meet us at the drop off point. Adair was extremely knowledgeable and we had a nice tour of Venice. It included a water taxi to the square and gondola ride, then a water taxi back.
Adair keep making sure we all were comfortable as it was 95 degrees and very humid.
Adair made sure everyone had arrangements for taxi or other means to get to their hotels.

This was a great experience and just what we were looking for. It was easy to find our driver near the taxi stand coming off of the cruise ship. We arrived to Venice ahead of schedule and our tour guide, Adair, was there to meet us. We immediately were introduced to water taxis, Grande Canal, basic sites, gondola and even made a couple osteria stops for ciccheti and drinks. Our tour guide was great and gave us the confidence to tackle Venice on our own.
Ride from port was quick and comfortable. Meet promptly in Venice by our tour guide. Tour started immediately and many sites were viewed. She shared her favorite food restaurants and bakery. Gondola ride was nice and we were taken at the booked time. Our guide was easy to understand and very knowledgeable. She was able to get us a water taxi to our hotel. Very helpful.
Sebastian was great! He was very informative! He felt like he was a friend for years giving us the tour. He weaved great history info into different stops that were very interesting! I would definitely recommend and would want him on my next adventure in Venice!

This was, by far, the highlight of our entire holiday! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized. Our transfer was waiting for us when we arrived, the van was clean and comfortable, and our driver was friendly, professional, and took care of all of our luggage.
Our guide, Georgia, met us upon arrival, and she truly made this experience unforgettable. She was incredibly warm, knowledgeable, and passionate about Venice. She took the time to explain the city’s history, answer all of our questions, and made everyone in our group feel welcome. Her enthusiasm and expertise brought Venice to life.
The gondola ride and private water taxi were absolute must-do experiences and offered such a beautiful way to see the city. Every part of the tour was seamless and well planned.
We can’t say enough wonderful things about Georgia. She was hands down the best tour guide we had during our entire trip to Italy. She gave us some great restaurant recommendations and went above and beyond for our family tour.

Flawless cruise port pickup and ride to Venice and tour. Excellent tour guide. She kept everything light and fun. Great restaurant that catered to our time constraint. Gondola ride was enchanting.
Very smooth process, we had Claudia as our Venice tour guide, she was fantastic. It was very hot and she kept us in the shade whenever possible. Knowledgeable as she grew up right there. Loved the small group aspect so everyone could hear and keep up. Only wish the driver from port to Venice spoke English so we could learn more on the 2 1/2hr drive. She was great but we could not communicate with her so the ride was quiet (we napped). Overall pleased with the tour!
Driver had nice clean van and arrived promptly at the port. Our guide Annalisa was fantastic. Knowledgeable friendly great sense of humor. We all learned more than we expected about Venice. This was the best tour that I have been on Claudia was the absolute best and our silver fox van driver. The gondola and water taxi drivers were also courteous and helpful. Anyone who has taken a cruise out of this port knows how difficult it is to get transportation to Venice. This wasn’t my first choice, but it ended up being a great experience. The car arrived at the port on time. The driver was excellent! It took about two hours and 15 minutes to get to the boat and then from the boat to our hotel was about a 15 minute boat ride. It was nice to get a chance to see a little bit of the city before we actually got to our hotel. Monica was our tour guide who met us at the boat dock. She escorted us on the boat to our hotel where we dropped our luggage off and went on a walking tour of Venice with her.. She was awesome! Very knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. She took us all through the city and showed us things that most tourist probably don’t get a chance to see. She also took us to some local restaurants to get a snack and some gelato which was awesome! We then took a gondola ride on the grand Canal, which was wonderful.I highly recommend the experience. It was much nicer than just a car ride and water taxi into the city. It was a great way to spend our first day.
This tour absolutely met our needs. We were disembarking from a cruise in Ravenna and the tour included a shared ride with a full group of 10 folks in a private car for about 2 hours until we reached the closest vehicle location in Venice. We then walked to the private water taxi with our group while our driver safely secured our luggage for the day. We traveled by water to Venice to see and learn about the major historical attractions in Venice. Had the chance to stop as a group for coffee and the tour ended with a group gondola ride (5 people per boat). Our guide, Sebastian was incredible. His knowledge of history and of the people was second to none. He engaged with our entire group and made us all feel very welcome to ask questions. I most appreciated his willingness to assist each group on the tour with our final transportation plans. For us, Sebastian helped us secure a private water taxi to drop off our luggage and then gave us directions to the Louis Vuitton store. He was invested in getting all of us where we needed to be and did not rush off when our tour was done. One of the members of our group had left his phone on the gondola. He immediately contacted them and they located the phone and secured it until he could return to the location to pick it up. Thank you Sebastian and the breathtakingly beautiful Venice for perfect day!

The pickup at the port was easy and early, which was nice. The walking tour was good - an American was our guide which was good for understanding. I would say she was less passionate sounding than the other guide, but we enjoyed the experience.

This is a fabulous way for solos to get safely from Ravenna port to Venice, followed by an amazing tour! do not miss this!
Overall it was very expensive but having transfer and tour coordinated made it very easy. The tour guide Sebastian was all the difference. Our group didn't stop and he was perfect. Including the gondola ride was nice. Learned a lot of history and interesting facts about Venice and the area.
After the two hour drive, we had a great full day in Venice with Sebastian, who was outstanding. Our bags were stored safely as we bounded about, capped by a terrific gondola ride. A great tour! One key note … getting our bags and us from Piazza Rome bus station to our hotel was a trick. I wish I’d have planned that out better in advance.
It was nice to get away from the crowds and get the back city tour. Sebastian was our guide he was very knowledgeable and enjoyed his job
