Comprehensive tour of the 5 monuments. Our guide was very knowledgeable.
You walk between monuments.
Seeing the mosaics in Ravenna is definitely a 'must do.' It's hard to find them all, and some seem like they will be uneventful from the outside, but once you enter, it's a 'wow factor.' I don't think we would have seen what we did without our guide, so I am glad we did it. . That being said, our guide seemed a bit burned out, and unorganized. She had us doubling back to places because she messed up the schedule, and it was a lot of walking to begin with to cover this tour over three hours without that extra time and distance. We were also a very small group, just 7 of us, and she made no effort to personally engage, ask people questions about where they were from, why they wanted to see the mosaics, or to connect the group at all. Given we were spending three hours together, this was a missed opportunity that would have made the time more enjoyable. Still, I am glad I did it!
This is an excellent tour! You see all the important mosaic sites and our tour guide was very knowledgeable.

It would have been a great tour if it hadn’t been raining, but the guide was hard to understand and she walked way too fast for the crowd that she had. The group was too big for her to handle and there most of her talk we missed because she started talking before all the group got there and with the rain it just was not a great tour. The tiles were awesome, but they were all in churches.

We booked this last minute - and had to book a tour with an Italian guide (we only speak English) just to make sure we got tickets to see the mosaics. The guide was very kind and explained things in English to just us as we entered or left the sights. We told him we did not expect this, but he didn’t any way.

Amazing. Amazing, Amazing. Marco, our guide, provided the historical backdrop on the way to viewing the mosaics. Listen. It gives you a better prospective as you view the mosaics.
NOTE: We were allowed to wear shorts. Also, our guide told us Italian students visit the mosaics in February, March and April. This sometimes makes the tours less pleasant.

We did a 2 hour Mosaic Tile guided tour in Ravenna. Our guide Marco was clearly passionate about these incredible sites and was so informative and brought the history to life making it interesting and fun. Nice small group and didn’t feel rushed and felt able to ask questions along the way. I would highly recommend this tour . The scenes depicted are just stunning and a must see if you are in Ravenna !!!

-Check in was in the Tourist Office in Ravenna and very well organized by the staff there.
-We arrived by train from Bologna and had a short walk to the meeting area/tourist office.
-Sergio ( english speaking guide) was passionate and so well read and happy to share his knowledge of the mosaics and history.
Because of Sergio, this was, without a doubt the best Viator tour I have ever taken.

Very thorough look at the amazing UNESCO Mosaic sites. Our guide, Cinzia (sp?) was excellent. Very informative, friendly and professional. It would be very difficult to see all these sites as efficiently on your own.

The only small suggestion would be to include one place in the trip to sight down and listen because three hours is a long time to stand. But lots of great information with a knowledge guide. Really outstanding tour of Ravenna and the Mosaics of early Christendom. We learned about the differences between early East and West Christianity, the key actors during those years as well as detailed explanations of the mosaics we viewed. Excellent tour!
