I found it to be quite boring, in mitad del mundo there's just the famous statue and you are being picked up by a bus then droped off in the musuem with a local guide and then youre off alone to explore the mitad del mundo, it was pretty boring for my taste

The Ciudad Mitad del Mundo is actually much more than just the monument — it’s a cultural city with museums, artisanal chocolate and beer experiences, restaurants, and craft shops that showcase Ecuador’s heritage. Most visitors find there’s so much to see and do that time often isn’t enough to explore it all. We hope future travelers take the time to enjoy everything this unique place offers at the center of the Earth.

It's a place of geological importance but doesn't not warrant 3 hours of exploration or $50 that I was charged for it!

Bus was on time and tour guide was extremely friendly, especially towards a solo traveler. Viator charged $60 but if you book directly at Quito Tour bus it’s on $20.

My tour guide Andrea was amazing! Enthusiastic and informative. I learned about the city and the trip to the Middle of the World is a must see! They even stamp your passport! I felt like we had too much free time there and would have rather left about 30-45 minutes earlier especially with all the traffic!

Sorry to say, but this is just a tourist trap where you are stranded for over 2 hours looking at their shops. Use your time in Ecuador better, skip this tour.

This tour was amazing!! Before touring the Middle of the Earth we had a chance to see the beautiful and massive Crater. My 11 yr old son was so impressed he said he would live there! The tour guide was very knowledgeable when visiting the Mitad del Mundo he made sure we understood all aspects of the tour, he asked questions and made it very interesting. The lunch was delicious! There was a travelling band at the restaurant and we bought their CD. I highly recommend this tour!

Totally worth it! Not only was our guide Alex fantastic, but the private transportation in a very nice bus made the trip to/from enjoyable. Also made friends with other solo travelers in the really nice-sized diverse group. Alex provided lots of interesting information the entire way and at each stop. The first stop is at Pululahua volcano - what an incredible view! We then headed to La Ciudad Mitad del Mundo where you get the first hour free for lunch not included, but good and affordable, then an hour guided tour, and an hour to explore all the other museums/areas entrances included. I know people who have worked there way to the Ciudad Mitad Mundo on their own using public transport and they say it was ok, but took a really long time and they didn't get any of the benefits of having a guide, so if you can afford the tour, I'd say book! :
