Itinerary

Your tour begins with pickup from your central Quito hotel in time for an 8am departure. Traveling in the comfort of a private vehicle, set out on the around 2-hour journey, winding into the Andes and passing along the dramatic ‘Avenida de los Volcanes’ (Route of the Volcanoes).

On arrival in the Cotopaxi National Park, visit the Limpiopungo lagoon, where you’ll have time to hike around the lakeside, take photos, or simply enjoy the scenery. Continue through the park, stopping to admire the mountain views and take in dramatic views of the Cotopaxi volcano. For lunch, stop at a traditional mountain lodge, where you’ll have chance to enjoy delicious Ecuadorian-style cuisine.

Return to Quito around 4pm, where your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.

The experience of visiting Cotopaxi and the Rose production tour was good. The only problem was our reservation stated that the pickup would be at 7:30. However, our guide showed up at 8:00. He stated that he was told to be at the hotel at that time. We have had previous messages via What’s App regarding pick up time or any updates which did not occur today.

The guide and driver were very informative and punctual. On the way to Cotopaxi we stopped at view points and learned about the volcanos which surround Quito. We did in fact book the incorrect tour (we hoped to hike to the glacier which wasn't this tour). The guide facilitated the change without issue, organising local guides to take us to the refuge in a 4x4. *Do be aware that this tour is to the Cotopaxi Laguna and not above.* We were very happy and would certainly use this company again!
