    Our instructor chef,...

Our instructor chef, Pancho, was such a nice guy. He was lovely to spend the evening with and talk to about Ecuadorian life. And the food was delicious. What we didn't know was that this was a private cooking class in someone's home. When I booked, the address given was in a more central area and instead we had to Uber out to a suburb. Had I known that, I would not have booked this. We still had a lovely evening, but it was overpriced and not exactly what I had expected.

    Response from Host, Nov 2025

Thank you for the thoughtful review, we’re really glad to hear you enjoyed Pancho’s company and the delicious dishes, he’ll appreciate your kind words. Regarding the location, we truly understand how the change of setting felt unexpected. For this experience, the home-based format is part of the concept and is clearly stated in the class description, and the exact address is automatically provided after booking so guests know exactly where they’ll be welcomed. That said, your feedback is valuable and we’ll revisit the listing to ensure this information is even more visible before checkout. We’re happy the evening itself was warm and memorable, and we appreciate you sharing your perspective with us. 🌿 Cheers, Maira from Cook in Fiesta

We only had one night in Quito and we are so happy that we spent it with Pancho. We learned about Ecuadorian food, cultures and customs. The food was absolutely amazing! It was an easy taxi ride to get there.
