Great Trip

We had a great time! The kayaking was leisurely and the guides were very friendly. We saw a ton of monkeys!

A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT

Susan L, Dec 2019
Be aware that there was not a guide in the lead and a guide at the tail of the group. There was only a lead guide. He went very fast...too fast for several people in the group. Heading back, he said that there were people waiting for us and he actually lost sight of me. Luckily, another tour group came by and helped me find out where I was supposed to go. This is inexcusable. Also, we only went down one mangrove tunnel/canal for about 5 -10 minutes and then the guide said it was unsafe and to turn around and head back to the river. The rest of the two hours was spent on the river with no detours to explore the side canals. We saw one group of monkeys, a few bats hanging from a fallen tree, and the rest of the birds were the same birds you see in Florida (Ibis, white and blue herons). I can't blame the guides for the lack of animals, but as for going to fast leaving me behind...this was inexcusable. By the way, the guide had to tow another kayak that couldn't keep up and I heard others in the group complaining about the tour at our lunch. The lunch was fine, by the way.
