It was a nice kayak excursion. Start time is determined by the tides, so look at early high tide schedule and that's a out when the trout will start. ( Not necessarily the time listed in Viator). Our guide was good..He knew the animals and the unique characteristics of the plants.

Warner was a great guide. We learned lots of new stuff about mangroves and got to see lots of cool wildlife.

Our guide was marvellous, making the trip through the mangroves both interesting and relaxing.
We saw raccoons, monkeys and various birds and learned of the importance of the mangroves.

The two tour guides told us a lot about Costa Rica, the surrounding area of Quepos, the animals and the national park. Food and drink were enough and were pretty good.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us feedback.

Our family of four (kids, ages 10 and 15) had a great time. We’re novice kayakers and the guides were super helpful and patient teaching us as we went along. We had double kayaks, my 15-yr old with me and my 10-yr old with my husband. The guides were a wealth of knowledge about the ecosystem and mangroves forests in Costa Rica. The lunch at the end was delicious! We recommend 💯

It was very interesting to kayak the mangroves and see the monkeys. The tour itself was not impressive and not worth the money we paid for it. The time of the tour is not what is posted on the website but is dependent on the tide - in our case the pick up was at 12:40 (instead of 6am.). The guide was nice but a newbie - he was not very engaging, his english was adequate, and he was not very knowledgable. The kayaks were uncomfortable and the first double kayak in which they launched us quickly took on water so we had to get back - they didn't have additional double kayaks so we got 2 more single kayaks. After the kayaking was done, it turned out that they were planning on providing us "lunch" at 3:45pm. Both our group (9 people) and another group on the bus (4 people) turned it down because none were hungry and the timing was odd. Overall, the mangrove was interesting but the organization of the tour poor.

The local company never communicated a time change to us. We were ready at 6:00am after receiving numerous confirmations for a 6:00am pick up. We had to call the company to find out what happened and they told us at that time that the tour was at 1:00pm. The staff didn’t seem very organized—we had to pick up extra kayaks, there was no instruction on how to manage the boat and very little information was given along the way as to the itinerary of the tour. The guide also has a pretty big group so it was hard to hear what little wildlife he saw, and it seemed like the tour was cut a little short due to the inexperience of the group. We were disappointed after having a great experience on a different kayak trip in another area of Costa Rica.

Our guide pointed out a baby crocodile on the shore, but there was otherwise very little wildlife to be seen.
Not as educational as we hoped it would be.
A nice, relaxing float among the mangroves, though, with a very friendly guide.
The food at the end was delish

Very, very nice crew and driver but.....first off, lunch took too long. Felt like our tour could have been more energetic-also-didn't need to sit in stagnet, bug filled water to see local species I'd already seen multiple times before. We literally sat in our kayaks for 30 minutes looking at one sleeping anteater...boring,

We were on a cruise and booked this tour independently of the ship. We were able to get picked up at the dock and they were very accommodating. The tour had only 6 people and two very informative local guides who spoke English well and knew a lot about the mangrove vegetation and animals. We spent over 2 hours going leisurely through the mangroves and saw many monkeys, birds, iguanas, snakes and a small crocodile. Paddling was very easy and we were able to go into some of the smaller channels which the boat tours could not get to and we could go slower and get closer to the animals. The guides were great about finding the animals and giving informative details on them.
At the end of the tour we stopped back at the tour office where they served a local lunch of rice beans and chicken. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience. Time on the bus only about 15-20 minutes each way. At our request, they dropped us off back in downtown Quepos where we could walk back to the ship.
Use plenty of sunscreen, where a hat and while the bugs didn't seem bad, apply bug spray also.

Sehr wenige, Informationen durch den Guide. Auch auf Nachfragen konnte er kaum eingehen.
Das Essen am Anschluss an die Tour war ok, fand in einer Art Raststätte an einer Straße statt.
