It was a good tour and I learned a lot. I think it could have been better if it were organized better. In hindsight, I would have spent my time doing something else.

Thank you for visiting us! We are happy that the tour was informative for you, though we regret that the organization felt lacking. We value your time and your feedback, and we’ll be using your comments to refine our process and make the experience even better. Wishing you the best on the rest of your travels!

Based on all the positive reviews, this was quite a disappointment. The tour, which was supposed to be 3 hours, ended up being only 90 minutes. The photos that showed the chocolate and coffee process never happened during our tour. No opening of the cacao bean, no demonstration of the grinding process, and no explanation of the different coffee roasting. Our tour guide, while knowledgeable, seemed distracted and almost felt like he was trying to fill time. While the chocolate was DELICIOUS and the coffee was tasty, it felt more like a cooking demo than learning about the coffee/cacao process. Additionally, with a tour that started at 8 am, finishing 90 minutes later, we were then supposed to have a provided lunch, which didn't make sense at 9:30 am. Therefore, we ended up skipping the included lunch altogether.

Thank you for the review. We want to mention that the tour duration includes our lunch service, which explains the earlier finish since you preferred to skip it. Our guides always prioritize education, including explaining why we occasionally can't open a cacao bean if the fruit isn't perfectly ready for harvesting that day. We are happy to hear you found the guide knowledgeable and the coffee delicious, and we’ll keep your feedback in mind regarding the 8 am lunch timing.

Excellent guide, Juan, was very knowledgeable on both history and the process of making chocolate. Loved all the tastings!!
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Hello dear Dorend thanks for this awesome review thats one of our main goals that all the visitors learn about history and culture of this side of the world with cacao and much more.
