Enjoyed the detailed history while walking the old city. Guide had many facts to share and liked how the history was presented. The guide took questions throughout the tour from past to present which were helpful understanding the people who had lived inside the walls as well as present day.

At the same time as learning some interesting history and seeing sites we would not have seen on our own, we experienced 3 different amazing restaurants that again we would not have visited. The guide, .Yves, was VERY pleasant and knowledgeable.

The tour guide did not show up. We waited 25 minutes, and then called Viator. Viator said to wait they were working on the situation, but to go avail, Viator then cancelled the tour.

This tour was amazing!! Our guide Louis(historical person) real life Christian was amazing!!! Had so many historical references. Was a dream guide. The restaurants and wine pairings were superb. Very enjoyable afternoon, no need to have dinner after! Highly recommend. Meet so many other tourists from Australia/Germany/USA and they were all fantastic!!

A great historical tour as well as wonderful Quebec/French food. Even though it was three hours in length, the time flew by.
Jonathan was very knowledgeable and extremely proud of his city. We learned so much about the history of Canada and Quebec.

My wife and I took an excellent walking tour in Quebec (City) today. Our guide, Charles T, was exceptional. He was dressed in amazing period clothing, speaking in a period accent and full of knowledge of Quebec’s history, architecture, culture, food and other things. He cleverly and thoughtfully guided us on the Taste of Quebec Walking Tour through Old Quebec. We stopped in three high-end restaurants and tasted samplings of traditional Quebecois dishes. The tour was fascinating, informative and fun. He even provided us with a 45-minute bonus tour that included some excellent gelato (make sure you get the maple flavour gelato). If you can only do one tour while in Quebec, this has to be the one.

Food we tried was fabulous and interesting, from local chefs. Great to learn some history of Quebec and guide's knowledge was good.
My only complaint is that most food tours I've done have 70-90% focus on food with 10-30% focus on history. This tour seemed abt 20-30% focused on food...we were often rushed out of the restaurants.

Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. There wasn’t a question he couldn’t answer. He knew the restaurants intimately and shared their specialties with expertise. The time flew and we easily rated it as the best experience of our weekend in QC!

Our guide was great - very animated and knowledgeable. Just a reminder - this is a walking tour and you do need to be ready to walk alot - may not be the best choice should you be tired or should it be very hot or rainy outside. Also, should it be your first time to Quebec City, it may be best to do a general bus tour to get the main highlights and then decide which walking tour may be of most interest.

Our guide Chantal was great. She stayed in character as she told us the history of Quebec City. We had 4 tastings. Our favorite was the mushroom eith maple syrup and salt.

The guide was extremely informative, friendly, and knowledgeable. However, the tour did not include the most charming and interesting part of the city. The entire lower part of the town was skipped. The guide never even mentioned that part of town and the description of the tour mentioned taking the funicular so it was a surprise that the tour didn’t include this part of the city. Thankfully, we found it during our own exploration. Food tastings were unique and delicious

Our guide was excellent. He told us the history of Old Quebec and took us to 3 very interesting and unique restaurants. The included drinks were good as well. The gelato finished the tour off perfectly. We would definitely recommend this tour to friends.

We thought by the description that this was mainly food tasting tour focused on traditional foods. It was not! It was a history tour with the tour guide telling us about the history of Quebec. Interesting but way too much information. At one point our tour guide sat us down on the steps of a building and talked for over 30 minutes. We stopped along the way at : restaurants and had a small bowl of a salmon stew, a very small one bite cooked oyster over a slice of leek at a very modern/contemporary high end restaurant, and at the last restaurant a small piece of lions mane mushroom and a taste of duck carpaccio. We ended with an ice cream for a stand on the boardwalk. We have been on many, many food tours and this was the least interesting, least fun one yet! If you’re a history buff this is for you. If you are a foodie that enjoys seeing a new city through the tradition of good food keep looking!!

I have booked and enjoyed MANY food tastings on Viator. Sadly there was very little tasting and much info presented regarding history of Quebec. It was OVERDONE - by the end of the many hours everyone was looking for the exits. The young children probably should not even been on the tour
If advertised differently there would have been a different crowd -one who might have wanted all the information on history etc of Quebec

Despite a little rain, this was a very interesting tour. We love food and wine and history and the tour was a nice blend of both. Bernard was entertaining and kept us all interested. I thought it was priced well for what we received. It was right around three hours and some uphill walking. The food was very interesting and the restaurant's very welcoming. Thank you Bernard!
