What To Expect

Your 3-hour tour begins in Quebec City or at the Parc maritime de Saint-Laurent, located about 30 minutes from Quebec City. Meet your guide for your morning or afternoon sea-kayaking tour along the St Lawrence River. You’ll enjoy opportunities to stop for photos and rest breaks.

During a safety briefing, change into the provided kayak clothing and try out different paddling techniques. Learn how set and handle your kayak, as well as how to note the weather and use a map. No prior experience is necessary for this excursion.

Then, sit in your kayak and set off after your guide in the water. Admire Orléans Island from your vantage point along the coast. Along the way, learn about the island’s history and snap photos of the summer scenery.

Amazing experience in the St Laurent river. It’s a must do activity when you’re in Quebec. The guide is very helpful, provide you a bit of history on the island, give you good tips for all your future kayak trips. The kayaks provided are very easy to use and to navigate. The St Laurent on this side of the island is very beautiful and amazing for pictures. The only issue is the way to go to the Île d’Orléans. There are no buses to go there, so it’s mandatory to have a car or someone to bring you there.

The guide was incredibly thorough, professional, and kind. He always checked in on us to make sure we were doing alright. The trip itself was absolutely gorgeous (being from Montreal, Isle d’Orleans was an absolute treat). We got obliterated by rain within the first hour and he was very good about making sure we made it back safely. There was another guide on sight in the storage cabin, though not part of our trip, and he was happy to talk to us as we cowered from the rain. We felt very well taken care of. The website for booking is also very good, I was able to request for a partial reimbursement due to the trip sadly being cut short (answer pending). Even with the unique experience of horrible weather, and my sheer lack of kayaking skills (helpfully aided by our wonderful guide), I 100% would do it again and recommend to a friend (newbies and professionals alike).

I had booked way in advance, given that this city is a french city. Everything is written in French, there was no clear signs that there will be a bus taking you to kayking. After thorough interrogation, it turns out that the time is over and my group cannot go kayking anymore. This just broke my heart and my experience was just terrible. Please be sure to check if everything is in english. There were no clear signs on my booking. No address was mentioned. I would urge people to be careful about it. I hope I get a refund.

This was an awesome experience! I have a bad back and was concerned but it turned out that I had worried for naught. The guide was friendly and the others who joined this excursion were a lot of fun. The amount of time was perfect, although I could have gone an extra 30 minutes. I would highly recommend this outing.
