Overview

Sail out into Samana Bay in search of migrating humpback whales on a spacious catamaran during this tour. The whale watching was fantastic but would have been nice just to do that part and not the Bacardi island. Made for a long day.

Awesome experience but if you are tall you will not fit on their bus. The bus ride was the worse ride I have ever taken. I am 5'11 and was squashed in so badly I was limping by the time I got off. The staff were great and seeing the whales was amazing

Nacho was a great tour guide!! We had fun and enjoyed the history shared while driving to the boat. I was amazed that Nacho spoke several languages.

An amazing excursion,...

An amazing excursion, from the transfer to a visit to Bacardi Island, where we also snorkeled. There were whales, and more than one, but the boat was too small for about 40 people. Because of this, it was difficult to get a good look at the whales and even see them from the other side of the boat. We had about half an hour to see them, but they only surfaced four times for a few seconds at a time.

Pick up from my hotel was seamless (if a little early). The whales were great. The ride there was interesting. Loved lunch and time on the beach. Nacho told us some history of the island. Two recommendations, provide the guides with some information about whales and please don’t introduce politics into the trip.
