This adventure was amazing, more than I expected. We were able to ride the horses( Rubio and Rubia) through dirt paths, along the street, and on the beach. We had a guide in front and behind us, we had to quickly learn how to navigate the horses, with the amount of time we spent with them, we did. It was beautiful.

The Good, the bad and in-between. I booked this about 3 weeks before our trip. My number 2 on my bucket list is riding on the beach. The tour contacted me the day before our tour and told us where to meet them and asked me some questions about me saying I need special help so I told them I'd have a problem mounting and dismounting the horse that I needed mounting blocks which is a step stool to help you get on. When they picked us up the driver wasn't there he got confused about what resort we were at but once again the tour communicated well and we did get picked up. We stopped at several resorts picking up people. You will learn pretty quickly that they have very few traffic laws or if they do no one abides by it so this is ur first warning. These people are crazy!! You literally put ur life in danger if you ride with anyone even the resort staff. We got to the tour place and they brought us into this covered area and passed around a clipboard to write ur name where u were staying and room number. This is where most people went one way to the ATV while me my husband and another couple was lead to the horses. I got a horse named Blondie and got to get to know her while everyone got on to there horses. I asked if they knew how to give a leg-up and they said no so I had to lift my foot all the way up to the sturup and they grabbed my but and pushed me up into the saddle. I haven't Ridden for 13 years and I could tell. The guide got on their horses which don't know how to stand when mounting so they ran in these tiny circles until they got on their horses. Off we went the front guy rarely looked behind him while guiding us there were a few times one of the other riders showed their discomfort when the horse would jump into anything faster than a walk. Did guide care or even looked to make sure we still had everyone? Nope!! When he did ride beside or near you he would make u shorten the reigns which would make the horses Bob their heads up and down bc they didn't like us pulling the bits in their mouths all the time. My horse didn't need a heavy hand and did a lot better when I gave to her when she listened to me. My horse did trip a lot. So we road on the paved road and this trail until we got to this hut and they said we're going to stop here for awhile and that made me nervous. You remember I said I'd have a hard time mounting and dismounting? Well my guide got off his horse tied him up helped other 3 get off their horses then he grabbed my horse lead me to a mounting block. Great right??? So I had a hard time bringing my foot over the saddle but I did and then I stepped onto the mounting block and down I went!! The mounting block only had 3 legs when it's supposed to have 4. How the guide didn't notice this is beyond me. But he did end up catching me but not before twisting my ankle. They led us into the hut where they had locals selling stuff they told us to sit down. They don't tell you about this stop on their website it was supposed to be a 1 hr tour 2 hrs tops. So local guy starts giving us the spill about their coffee and chocolate then told us that everything was $15-$20 US so I went and looked around with one of the locals following behind me everything I touched he would try put in a basket. Did my shopping and when I went to check out he said all of this comes to $2,000 US but for you I'm going to give it to you for $1,000 I laughed thinking he was joking. None of the items I got were worth that kind of money and remember how coffee guy said nothing in here was above $20? It should have cost $150-$200 I said you're going to have to talk to my husband so I go get him when I get back local guy was already engraving my name on a horse statue I got so I said the only thing I have to get is the horse and walked away. That guy tried to get 2k out of my husband and he said $300 or nothing local guy keeps trying he finally gets all my items at $300. We go back to get on our horses. U remember the mounting block with 3 legs? Well now it had 3 legs and a pile of rocks. Somehow I get back on my horse and we finally get to the beach. We rode for about 10 minutes on the beach they took our pictures then we went back to the touring place. We spent hours on the trail to spend 10 minutes riding on the beach for a tour to ride horses on the beach. I can go trail riding at any times (I live in NC so we got plenty of that) I wanted to ride horses on the beach. On our way back to the touring place my husband horse slipped spread eagle and fell down while my husband rolls away from the horse. My husband didn't get hurt but our guide didn't even check to see if the horse wasn't hurt and that really surprised me. He just wanted my husband to get right back up on his horse then the guide tried getting back on his horse on a busy road. A lot of our riding was on busy roads and you remember how i said they have no traffic laws? And that the horses didn't know how to stand while being mounted? So tone of cars motorcycle while guide and his horse is spinning around in these tiny circles. Anyway we get back to touring place and it was time for that dismount. Both guides got on one side of me and was like we got you!! Like I was just going to fall into their arms. Once again my foot gets stuck on the saddle my husband helps free it then I swing my leg backwards to hop down well my other foot gets stuck in the stirrup and so does my shirt I still don't know how I didn't flash anyone while falling to my death but I did manage to get off then us and the couple we rode with sat under the hut and waited and waited and waited we waited for 1 1/2 hrs for the ATV people got back before they would take us to the resort. We get into the bus once again risking death pulling out in front of people and then it started raining. These busses aren't like US buses these are open back buses so we get soaked. When we finally get back to the resort I was thankful it was over since our 1 hr tour turned into a 5 hour tour and we missed our dinner reservation the driver stopped my husband and demanded a tip like grabbed his arm and held out his hand and rubbed his stomach like pay me I'm hungry. So that's the tour. If you find that appealing then go for it. The only good thing about it was I got to do my number 2 bucket list thing. Later that night I was going through the items I got. One of my bracelets was in pieces. I shopped at my resort and got better and more items then the stuff I got from the hut for less than what my cheap broken bracelet was. So there u have it! Does that sound fun?? Then this tour is for you!!
