Basically we paid to snorkel and didn’t get to snorkel. That’s my only complaint. Everyone was nice but the whole purpose of the trip was to snorkel. We went out into the ocean, they told us that we would spend half the time at the snorkeling location which would be around 20 feet deep and the other half in an area that was only 4 feet deep to swim and enjoy the water I guess. When I say we only spent 10 mins in the snorkeling area, I’m not joking. I was there with my wife and children, so by the time we all got in the water and swam to an open area, they said “there’s not even any fish here. Let’s go to another spot”. We all thought they were just taking us to another area but when I got back on the boat they took everybody’s equipment. It was very disappointing. And none of them were even in the water with us. How would they know if there were fish there or not? They took us to another area that was only 4 feet deep and there were other boats there with people trying to sell us food, hats and things. It was very disappointing. Everybody was very nice but they didn’t give us what we paid for. If we wanted to swim in the beach in shallow water we could’ve just stayed on the shore. And the area was really rocky so it was very hard to stand. They took our swim shoes so it was very painful to be out there. Some of them just got the life vests so we could be in the water without being in pain for the next 2 hrs or so. Would not recommend.

Regarding the snorkeling locations, our team always aims to select spots with good visibility and marine life. On the day of your excursion, conditions at the first snorkeling site made it difficult to spot fish, which is why the captain decided to move to a shallower natural pool area.
We would like to inform you that the natural pool where vendors were present is a public area that we do not control. Unfortunately, vendors sometimes approach all boats there, and we have limited ability to regulate this. We are sorry this interfered with your enjoyment.
We appreciate your comments about equipment handling and the rocky conditions, and we will review these points carefully to improve future experiences.

I don’t think this trip was family friendly. Where we snorkeled was extremely rough and we were only allowed between the anchored boats. Obnoxious loud music. Doritos and four pieces of fruit was our snack. No bottled water. A lot of the other boats that traveled with us were raunchy bachelorette parties. And I thought a catamaran had a mesh area over the water so this wasn’t a catamaran. A trip not for families.

We had a blast. Boat crew was amazing. They were friendly, fun, and wildly entertaining. The first stop, the snorkel stop, was our favorite. For our group this could have been the full adventure. The water depth was great and the water was clear. The kids got to jump off the boat and into the water after snorkeling. The second spot was waist deep water for hanging out. The water was murky and this wasn’t our favorite. There were vendors in the water and the area was crowded with a lot of boats and competing music. We would have preferred more snorkeling.

Only one stop to snorkel 45 min. Staff on catamaran were not helpful. No instruction about putting on mask and snorkel. No flippers. Asked staff 3 different times to assist with mask for my granddaughter as face is narrow only one size mask. Never got a fit that didn’t leak so couldn’t really snorkel to see fish. Last stop is “natural pool” which was just still murky green water no paddle board or any other equipment to use could just stand in the water. Advertised as family trip but emphasis was on drinking alcohol and dancing to loud music. Staff not helpful at all even for getting a soda and chips. I would not recommend this activity.

Good time, 2 different spots for: snorkeling then swimming. Great crew, no seaweed at the spots either. The boat was a bit older.

My wife and I went on this catamaran and had a great time! The crew was very friendly and fun. We got to snorkel and cruise around, and spent a good amount of time in the water at the natural pool. We purchased the photos from Franciso, which turned out great. Would recommend.

Our family of four did this excursion. Our boat left on time. We were on a very comfortable boat with plenty of space and a slide. They served bagged Lays chips and fruit kabobs as snacks. The staff were lively, attentive and entertaining. Fun time. I took of two stars because we purchased the $90 photo package. We were told it would be emailed to us on the same night. Never received them or a response to my email.

We had a great time on this activity. The sea was a bit rough for snorkeling, but that was out of everyone’s control. The tour company did a great job with the entertainment. The only thing I would mention is that the music was very loud, which made it hard for us to hear each other. Since it was advertised as a family tour, we expected a calmer atmosphere rather than a party-style environment. My kids were 5&8 would not recommend for younger kids.

We went with our 3 year old and had a blast! Everyone was soooo nice and lively. The photographer on the boat was amazing and took the best pictures! Honestly, was the best part of the trip. Snorkeling was very clear. The sand bar was amazing. They had floating bar, people with monkeys and parrots to take pictures with.

Would not recommend this boat ride as a family boat ride. It was more of a booze cruise. The snorkeling section was short and not very good or organized. The second stop was just a place for people to stand and 'stew' in the warm waist deep water and drink a lot. Not ideal for kids, and it definitely wasn't worth the time allotted to this trip.

This was a bit disappointing. The trip lasted just over 2 hours and consisted of a short trip off the beach to the "snorkeling" area which was basically snorkeling without fish. Then a 5 minute ride to the natural pool where we stood in waste deep, murky water for 30 minutes before heading back to port. This is also advertised as a "family" tour but they had some sketchy music playing, one song was constantly dropping f!ck every few seconds.

We have two stops in the water as we describe our activity. the first one is the snorkeling area which lasts forty-five minutes and the rest of the activity is for sailing, living up, meeting new people, and drinking where the natural pool is located.

They did change the time for my booking last minute which ended up throwing off my whole plan for the day. I understand it’s unpredictable if other people cancel last minute but it really messed up my whole plan. If you book this just be sure to confirm the time with the tour operator multiple times and have backup plans if the times get switched around.

We contacted you last minute to tell you that we had many cancellations for the 12pm shift, we suggested you the 3pm shift you agreed without any issues. If you did not want to go any more with us our supplier would free to refund you.
After you made the activity with us, you complained about the time rescheduling.
It would not be a problem, if you told us you decided not to go.
I am sorry for that because it was something unpredictable.

I chose a family boat excursion because I was with my 73 year old mother. Great choice. She loved it. Still fun with music, but not too crazy. Lots of families with children. I recommend.

If you are looking to get on a boat in the DR, this is probably about as good as it gets. We took a lengthy van ride to a gathering of beach shops/businesses where we waited for the rest of the riders. We then boarded a boat that sailed for 5 minutes to average crowded snorkeling (at best) and then another 5 min to a beach- not a natural pool- where vendors with floating goods approach you. The staff is very nice, serving drinks and a snack of chips and salsa. I couldn’t come to the Caribbean and not go boating, but this is not what I had in mind. The older teens on the boat had a blast and were able to drink safely and enjoy a short boat excursion that ended with two dances on the boat deck. More dancing would have been fun. More cruising would have been ideal. We also booked through viator and there was a communication error and we had to reschedule.

We read your comment carefully.
As we set it to Viator our activity lasts 3 hours on the boat. We provide transportation included in the price you pay for your reservation. Due to your distance you have a different pick up time, your activity was a shared party boat activity for that reason we send you a transportation that passed in other different hotels to pick up people in that case many of the other people sometimes are not on time to get in the vehicle that make us wait a little long and sometimes we have some traffic issues on the road, everyone knows when we deal with human beings things go this way, sometimes they are on time sometimes not.
For your activity we NEVER give our clients five(5) minutes to snorkel and another five(5) minutes to go to the natural pool. We are extremely strict at this point to our captain and crews. The time for snorkeling is always 35 minutes and the rest of the time left is for entertainment and going to the natural pool, drinking, and dancing.
We are very watchful to your comment, we will discuss that in an appointment to our staff to know more about your situation.

Amazing crew, made you feel comfortable and ensured you had a great time. Great for families and people of all ages. Demie journée catamaran et snorkeling très sympa en famille, avec un groupe familiale aussi de 30 personnes environ.
Le chauffeur était à l’heure pour nous récupérer, organisation au top.
Les animateurs encadrants étaient adorables, attentifs aux tous petits et précautionneux, mais aussi très festifs.
Nous avons pu nager avec les poissons, le matériel de snorkeling était nickel et désinfecté.
Nous avons ensuite navigué jusqu’à une étendue d’eau peu profonde où nous avons passé du temps en musique (un resto sur l’eau au besoin).
Moment formidable et paysages époustouflants… pourtant nous avons vu du pays. Nous recommandons +++
