You beee to be agile to get on and off the boat. Our guides were very knowledgeable about the birds we were seeing and the history of the island On the way back they spotted the whales migrating and gave us many opportunities for pictures . The guides Jorge and Jose were fantastic !

This tour was amazing! Not only did we see Hidden Beach and snorkel, but we also saw humpback whales, a sea turtle, and Blue-footed booby birds! Eddie, Johnny, and the manager, Jaciel, were wonderful!

We chose this as small group excursion. To no fault of the operators we did not know it was a 75 minute cab ride to get there. We lost $285 by not being familiar enough with the region.

Amazing experience that you have to do. Jorge the captain and Danny the guide that takes you and swims with you were incredible. Very kind, careful, and safe. They don’t take any unnecessary risks and put our safety first.
My partner did not know how to swim and Danny swam with her and took her all the way through to the private beach including going under the cave while we saw other groups struggle to go through because they’re guide did not go with them.
Everything included in the description we did.
100% recommend even if you’re not an experienced swimmer.

Skeptical at first because i thought people might be expecting a “day at the beach” I found that between the swim through the cave arch, taking pictures, and bobbing around for a bit, I felt like we actually had just the right amount of time to enjoy the place…and probably would have been bored and annoyed with other visitors if we’d tried to make an afternoon of it (not really an option). I was perfectly satisfied with the brief visit because we then got to see some of the other cool formations around the islands, snorkel with the fishies, and get lots of cool photos.

We had an amazing experience. Our guides, Daniel and Ceasar, were incredible. Each place we stopped they got in the water and explained everything to us. When we were snorkeling, Daniel was amazing at telling us about all the different fish. If you those this which I highly recommend, make sure you are very comfortable at swimming. We had to swim a good distance so just keep in mind.

We had a great day on the water. Saw dolphins and so much whale activity (including extra time to see it). We also got to choose our own adventure a bit. Hidden beach was lovely!

Getting to the cave is very very difficult the current and waves are everything was against you. the guide didn’t help much and we were left behind
The stay was short there and not much to see
The starting point is one hour away from hotel zone so paying extra taxi is very expensive
The overall experience is so so and not worth the effort and money

I'm very sorry about what happened with the guide. We will check why the guide did not give them support when entering the hidden beach because the guide always has to be helping and taking care of their safety.
There are times when entering the hidden beach is somewhat difficult since we enter Swimming through a tunnel and the current may be a little strong, that's why they wear life jackets and helmets for their safety that's why the tour is an extreme adventure.
The time allowed is only 30 minutes to be able to enter and leave the hidden beach.
If you come from Puerto Vallarta to Punta de Mita it is a long 40-minute path. You can also find other tour options in Puerto Vallarta so you don't have to travel so long.

My booking was for 12:30. I arrived 2hrs early to make sure I'm at the correct location. There is a lot of people trying to find their tour group, so ask anyone that looks like a tour guide. I did manage to find the tour operator and he gave me 2 wrist bands. I had breakfast by the beach and explored the small town. When i returned to the meeting point it took a bit of time to figure out what group im in... it does look a bit unorganised, but that is just the way it is. Keep asking and be observant. The tour guide was very friendly and he made sure the route was planned for us to snorkel and enter the cave and get the best experience. The prices can fluctuate for the same experience as all operators do the same excursion. I did pay this more higher price, and that ment we were only 3 people on the boat which made it extra special and perfect.

Similar to the pics, but so much better because you get to dawn helmets and swim to the beach. Short and sweet trip, but our crew was friendly and made us feel safe as we snorkeled in super clear water and later made our way to Hidden Beach.

Excursion was amazing! It was a bit of a challenge getting through the short tunnel because you had to fight the waves but the views are well worth it. The operators will guide you all the way in and back out and, if you're not much of a swimmer don't worry, they will literally tow you. The operators were fantastic and very friendly. I was staying in PV so I was grateful to find there were showers available at the marina to rinse off afterwards (the use of soap was not permitted and they charged less than $ 1 USD). If you have your own snorkel and mask I would recommend you take it otherwise they do provide you one, no extra charge. I would recommend you only take sandals, sun glasses and your phone on the boat (plus snorkel & mask) and leave everything else in your car as you won't need it and it will likely get wet unless you have them in a plastic water proof bag.

For a short tour from Punta de Mita de I recommend Shark’s Tours. Our guides Haziel and Roberto took out to the Hidden Beach at the Marieta Islands. You have to show your wrist band to the park rangers and they give you helmets. The swim into the beach requires you to be a strong swimmer, as there is a bit of a current pushing back at you, esp. in the passage under the island. You get to ride the current back out, which is easy. They explained the many birds on the island, pointing out the blue-footed booby. There is a snorkel option, but we declined it. We then went to another beach and swam. We also saw dolphins on our return. We need to come back in whale season.

The crew I had today were so welcoming and such great people. Even though we were only three people they treated us like a VIP. I recommend this trip for strong swimmers, the currents were a bit rough today. Daniel , he made us feel safe and he’s also a great photographer.

I was worried about the swim into the island but it really wasn’t bad, and Noah went with us the whole way. Abraham and Noah were professional and friendly. The snorkeling was also great and on the way back, Abraham stopped so we could see a mother and baby whale jumping out of the water. It was a great tour!
