This was a fantastic tour of the Mayan ruins at Tulum, followed by swimming in two cenotes - one underground, the other above ground. Our guide was great, and came with a nice air-conditioned minivan. He made everything easy. He was also our guide through the underground cenote. The tour arranged a separate guide to take us through the ruins - he was really knowledgeable too. In short - this was great for our family of 5; a bit more money than a group tour but so much easier. We also got to get out earlier and get to the sites with fewer people.

Absolutely amazing day we'll never forget

Leo was a fantastic tour guide and driver. He took us through a pitch black cenote cave (with flashlights of course) with bats flying overhead while we swam through. I've never done anything like it before, how awesome. He also took us to the most picturesque clear water open cenote we've ever seen! Joel guided us through Tulum and was outstanding. I can't say enough wonderful things, he connected Maya history to his family and upbringing. He was more than happy to take pictures of us and had an umbrella handy for the sun and heat. Could not have asked for a better day!

We had an amazing experience start to finish with this tour. For our first stop at the Mayan ruins, we received a comprehensive tour from our first tour guide Joel. Joel went above and beyond to share with us history and family anecdotes about the Mayan ruins, from how his ancestors tracked time and seasons to the medicinal cures that current Maya communities use for different ailments. The ruins are a stunning sight, and are surrounded by the Caribbean sea. For the second part of the tour we visited both a closed and open cenote with our second tour guide Chava (Salvador). Chava guided us through the closed cenote as he explained the process by which they are created. At the open cenote, we took a plunge in beautiful blue-green waters under the warm sun, where we were also encouraged to jump in from one of the platforms. The cenotes Chava chose were especially amazing because there were so few other tourists there; in fact, we had the first cenote all to ourselves. He was very good at ensuring our safety in the cenotes as well. Chava then took us to Taqueria Honorio which was absolutely delicious. Lastly the transport was seamless, we were picked up and dropped off at out airbnb at a timely manner. Overall, we were extremely impressed with this tour, including the sites and our incredible tour guides Joel and Chava. We very highly recommend it!!!

Incredible day Visiting Tulum and Cenotes!

We had the best time visiting the Tulum ruins and cenotes! Our guide, Omar was fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Tulum and the cenotes. He made us feel comfortable going into the cenotes for the first time and was always thinking about how to make sure we had the best experience possible. The taco lunch was the cherry on top! If you’re thinking about booking this tour, don’t hesitate! You won’t be disappointed.

Our tour guides Caleb and Leo were absolutely awesome! Our entire group of 10 ladies enjoyed our private Tulum and Cenotes tour from beginning to the end! They honored our every request from stopping at the grocery store so that we could pick up beach towels to helping us reach beyond our adventurous side and swim in the Cenotes. The lunch stop had the most delicious street tacos and guacamole (I wish I could have packaged it. I highly recommend that any group wanting to have the most amazing tour book with BTM!
