Pickup details
Pickup is scheduled for 30-45 minutes before departure. The tour operator will confirm the exact pick-up time via email. Please don't forget to recheck your email. Please plan to meet the driver in your hotel lobby at least 10 minutes before the scheduled. You may be considered a no-show if you arrive more than 10 minutes late or after the car has moved on from your hotel.

- The trip has no weight restrictions. Riders have to be in good physical and mental ability to ensure safety. No alcohol is permitted.
- For passengers, make a reservation by specifying a child ticket, and driving is not allowed.
- Pregnant women should not participate in the tour. People with disabilities should not participate in the tour.
- During the tour, riders are asked to strictly follow the tour guide/instructor. The tour operator has the right to stop any risky riding with no refund.
- On the rare occasion that we should be required to cancel a tour, we will inform you in advance and offer a different tour date, an alternative tour or provide a full refund.
- The interior of the Big Buddha is temporarily closed, but don’t worry! You can still marvel at its grandeur from the outside and take in the breathtaking bird’s-eye views of the surrounding area. The experience remains as memorable and enjoyable as ever!

Great fun biking on tracks on the hill near the Big Buddha in small groups. Some nice views at various points along the way. Also had a short break from riding round to be taken up to the Big Buddha statue (currently closed but you can get reasonably close) for views around the island. Then returned to our bike to ride a while longer. Arrangements including hotel pick up all worked well so no waiting around. Excellent experience and good value. I’d recommend it.

If you’re looking for a mix of adrenaline, stunning scenery, and top-tier hospitality, look no further. We booked the 2-hour ATV tour, and it was easily the highlight of our trip!
🏔️ The Highlights
* The Big Buddha: We were lucky it was open during our visit. The guides were incredibly generous with the time they allowed us to explore this iconic landmark, ensuring we didn't feel rushed at all.
* The "Edge Swing": A total surprise! This swing offers breathtaking panoramic views of the entire island—a perfect hidden gem of the tour.
* The Course: It was a "proper" ATV trail—challenging enough to be thrilling but safe enough to be pure fun.
📸 Content Creator’s Dream
The guides are absolute pros when it comes to photography. They knew all the perfect vantage points and, to our surprise, proactively used our phones to take high-quality videos of us while we were riding. Having those action shots to look back on is priceless!
🛠️ Exceptional Service & Small Details
What sets this tour apart is the staff. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly proactive. We were really impressed by the attention to detail:
* Dust Control: They intermittently watered down the tracks to keep the dust at bay.
* Gear & Hydration: They provided face masks and kept us supplied with plenty of cold water throughout the heat.
* Flexibility: With multiple start times and duration options, it fits any schedule.
* Pro Tip: We went for the full 2-hour option, which actually ran a bit longer because of the extra time at the Big Buddha. It is well worth the money for the full experience.
Bonus: this tour includes pick up from where you’re staying. Make sure to select your pick up point upon booking. Book well in advance and if your place isn’t listed on the list of pick up points, pick one nearest yours, message the tour company via the Viator app and give them a google link of where you’re staying. They will happily accommodate you, which is a huge convenience. Then, upon completion of the tour, you may request to be dropped off elsewhere (like another beach, another POI in the island) instead of back to your hotel/Airbnb/villa, etc) and they’ll happily accommodate this too. We selected the 0900 start of the tour and finished by 1200 noon, which gave us the rest of the day to explore more of Phuket at our own pace. So instead of taking us back to where we were picked up, we asked to be dropped off at Patong Beach for a nice lunch, then parasailing and jetski amongst other beach side fun activities. (Saved us from having to book Grab).
A huge thank you to our guides for being so attentive and making us feel safe while ensuring we had a blast. Highly recommended!

Had a fab time, only me in the group, so we were able to drive to my ability (I did 'fess up a short way through, I have driven ATVs on a farm before), so we got to go fast.
Well looked after by the staff who couldn't do enough to ensure I was well watered and OK.

Had an amazing ATV experience in Phuket, especially riding up to the Big Buddha viewpoint. The tour was well organized, and the guides were friendly, professional, and made sure everyone felt safe before starting.
The jungle trails were fun and adventurous with a great mix of dirt tracks and hills. Reaching the Big Buddha and enjoying the stunning views from the top was definitely the highlight!
Highly recommend this activity if you want a bit of adrenaline and incredible scenery in Phuket. Would definitely do it again!

We did the ATV + big Buddha 1.5hr tour. This tour also included the high swings. Overall it was a good activity and we had fun! We drove the ATVs round the tracks and to a look out for photos, then parked up to get a ride up to big Buddha. After we did more ATV driving and the high swings before going back to the start. The guide took a video of us on the ATVs towards the end as well.
The ATV tracks were good but there were multiple groups on them at the same time and sometimes you would need to get out of each others way. Also there was a bit of waiting around and not a lot of communication for the transport back to the hotel.

Let me begin with the positives: my family truly enjoyed the ATV experience, and our tour guide was excellent—which is the primary reason for the two-star rating.
Unfortunately, there were several issues that significantly impacted our overall experience. At the time of booking, I was under the impression that transportation was included. However, on the day of the excursion, I received a WhatsApp message stating that transportation required an additional fee per person rather than per pickup. Shortly after, I received an email confirming a pickup time of 2:30 PM. Then, around 1:15 PM, the driver sent another WhatsApp message indicating he would arrive at 1:30 PM. At that time, we were at lunch and had to rush back to our hotel—fortunately, we were nearby.
When I informed the driver that the pickup time did not match the email confirmation, I was told that we either needed to accept the 1:30 PM pickup or arrange our own transportation. Upon pickup, the driver continued to insist that 1:30 PM was the correct time, despite the email we received the night before clearly stating a 2:30–2:45 PM pickup window.
After arriving at the excursion site, we explained the situation to the staff at the desk, but they appeared unconcerned and repeatedly instructed us to contact Viator, with whom we made the reservation. There was no attempt to assist or acknowledge the inconvenience.
Following the excursion, it took over an hour for us to return to our hotel. Despite having paid for round-trip transportation, we were informed that their driver was no longer available for the evening (even though our experience concluded around 4:00 PM). As a result, they had to call us a taxi.
While the ATV instructors and guides were professional and enjoyable, the customer service before and after the ride was disappointing. If you choose to book this experience, I recommend doing so with the expectation that the information provided the night before may be inaccurate and that accountability for any issues may be limited.
One final note: the stop to see the Big Buddha was underwhelming, as we were only able to view the back of the statue, which was quite disappointing.

Our guide was extremely nice. Our machines were crap. I constantly had to start mine every time I went down a hill. So you were struggling with the break and trying to start it. We actually kind of called it off early because we just got tired of riding around in circles. The swing was nice. It was short, but it was nice. We skipped going to the Buddha I thought you rode the ATVs up there but you actually have to get on a truck and go. And viator had it listed for $30 apiece and it ended up being 120 so the price was completely different than what it was listed. I guess it was kind of fun. I suppose I just expect a different experience. Nothing but nice things to say about our guide though.

Great staff and good gear, however we found the tour quiet boring - we were circling around the same place for an hour even though from representation of the tour it seemed like we had a destination (we haven’t been to Phuket before).

You might get muddy, you will probably get dirty but omg you will have the best time come rain or shine. We booked for 2 hours and we're out for 2.5hours, we saw the Big Buddha and did the huge swing, it poured down which made it even better and muddier, only re ommendation is wearing old or washable shoes with toes in

My travel companion got very ill on the trail and was unable to continue. They took excellent care of her. My son and daughter continued on without us. They very much enjoyed the experience.

This was well organised and amazing fun. Couple in our late 50’s who have never ridden ATVs and chose to ride together. We chose to finish early because of very heavy rain but still felt like the experience was well worth it 😆
