Once in a lifetime experience!!
This experience was incredible! We had GG as our tour guide and let me tell you, we were constantly laughing and having a blast. We loved the entire crew, with their snacks and cleanliness of the boat! We got to see so much more than we expected and it was stunning! Started off with some rain in the morning, but the sun came out and showed us the turquoise waters. Absolutely would go again!

How’s the serenity!
What an amazing day on the cruiser. Snorkeling was superb in the crystal clear waters. Saw monkeys in Monkey Bay. Food great and all washed down with purchased French Rose - all while listening to great tunes played by the DJ. Celebrating a catch with my brother and his wife - what a day!

Great day
I think this was a great way to see phi phi islands onboard hype Yatch.Dj doing his thing and some drinks while cruising on the water was well worth the money. Not too crowded unlike some of the other boat trips.Got to meet some great people from different parts of the world too.Would highly recommend if you want to see the phi phi islands in style.

Fun in the sun
This was awesome! Our guide, Sexy Goodies, was amazing as were the boat crew! The boat was very clean with enough space for all 20 participants.
Goodies also prepared us well for Maya beach so we knew what to expect.
Our guide took photos/videos with our phones for us when we were jumping in the water.
Also, there was NO shortage of cold water and snacks! We had been offered cold water continuously and enjoyed some fresh fruit between stops! I would definitely recommend this tour!

Stellar day!
Stellar day! Kan and the rest of the crew were incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive throughout the entire day. From helping with life vests to communication to food everything was 10/10. Plus, boat was comfortable, clean and not packed full with people like so many ferries can be. Would absolutely recommend!!

Overall great trip with...
Overall great trip with exception of cold food served for lunch at Phi Phi Hotel. Did this trip before Covid and the food served was cold there too. My only complaint really.

This is probably the only...
This is probably the only way to truly enjoy phi phi lee. At the beginning the tour is just as any other, you go with the people that booked the day tour to snorkel in one spot (average snorkeling) then to maya bay around closing time (around 17pm). There is probably less people than midday, but still a lot. Then you go just in front of maya bay you see the sunset and you snorkel again, you can go to a small beach where there are a lot of baby sharks (mind the jellyfish). Then you have dinner (food is ok nothing special) and you swim with the planctons (they look just like white sparks, nothing special), you have a free drink with music (i would really avoid the stupid music, it kills the atmosphere), and you bring the day trippers back to the pier. Now the real fun begins, because just three of us went on this big boat back to maya bay and spent the night there (not on the beach, on the boat just in front of the bay). We were the only boat except a private sailboat, and sleeping there under the full moon and the stars is amazing. We also had a few drinks and played games with our beautiful guide Pai. Sleeping there is certainly not the most comfortable, and I was a bit sick the day after, but it's subjective and still worth it. When you wake up you see the sunrise, and you go again to maya bay. They actually let you choose where to go, we thought there would be less people at opening (7 am), but situation was almost the same, just a bit less. You will NEVER see maya bay without people, forget about it. Then we went to Phi Lee lagoon, that maybe is even better, before all the people came, and I really wish I had more time there. Going back we stopped at a 'monkey' beach (no monkeys there), this is really avoidable and better to spend more time in the lagoon. So overall is really a great tour, the price might seem high but it's really worth it for what you get. Thanks to the staff and to beautiful Pai.
People Also Ask
Is Maya Bay still closed?
No, Maya Bay is not still closed to tourists—it reopened in January 2022. It was closed between 2018 and 2022 to let the ecosystem recover from the effects of overtourism, and it’s still intermittently closed for shorter periods, either for safety or environmental reasons. The number of daily visitors is capped, and swimming isn’t allowed in the bay.
Is Maya Bay worth it?
Yes, Maya Bay is very beautiful and worth visiting. However, if you don’t like crowds and want to swim, you may prefer other nearby destinations. Swimming isn’t allowed in Maya Bay, but is at many other beaches, including those on Ko Lao Liang, Ko Lao La Ding, and Koh Lanta.
Is Maya Bay included in a Phi Phi Islands tour?
Yes, most tours of the Phi Phi Islands include Maya Bay. Other common Phi Phi Islands tours destinations include Bamboo Island, Ko Tup, Monkey Beach, Pileh Lagoon, and Chicken Island. Tours may not stop at Maya Bay if closed, but in such cases, they often sail past so you can take a look.
Why can’t you swim in Maya Bay?
You can no longer swim at Maya Bay to protect the coral and the local shark population. These were seriously damaged by overtourism, leading to Maya Bay’s closure between 2018 and 2022. The ecosystem is recovering, and the water is much cleaner than it was, so the Thai authorities want this to continue.
How much is the entrance fee for Maya Bay?
The entry fee to Maya Bay is 400 baht (about US$11) for adults and 200 baht for kids. This is a fee for the Phi Phil National Park. However, this is usually included in the price of tours to Maya Bay, so you don’t need to pay extra. Be careful of scammers who might try to get you to pay twice.
Are there toilets at Maya Bay?
Yes, there are toilets at Maya Bay. They are further behind the beach than the drink and snack shack. However, they’re not in a great state, so avoid using them unless you have to. There are also toilets at Bamboo Island, where many Phi Phi Islands tours also stop.
