I had an incredible experience on this cooking tour! I was picked up right from my hotel and taken on a scenic drive to a local market, where my guide—who spoke excellent English—introduced me to the fresh ingredients we’d be using for the four dishes I chose to cook. It was not only informative but also a great way to immerse myself in the local culture.
After the market, we arrived at the cooking academy where I was warmly greeted with a welcome drink by another friendly staff member, along with my guide. The hands-on cooking class was so much fun! I learned the techniques behind each dish and got to prepare everything myself, with clear guidance and helpful tips throughout.
The best part? Sitting down afterward to enjoy the delicious meals I had just prepared. Everything was thoughtfully organized, and the entire team made the experience memorable from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone looking to combine local culture, food, and fun!

Nice people as you would expect in Thailand. Going to the food market was an interesting experience too. Prepared and cooking the food was very easy and a lot of fun. Come hungry as you will have lots to eat. You can take leftovers with you if you want? I recommend it as a great way to spend an afternoon.

Introduced to the ingredients that are typically used in thai cookery at the local market before heading for the cookery class. Four of us with 2 cookery teachers. All ingredients partially prepared. Cooking with supervision and instruction at individual cooking stations, we prepared some fabulous food. We chose the dishes we wanted to learn to cook, each choosing something different, when cooked we all sat and enjoyed the fruits of our labour tasting all the dishes. Really fun and friendly session.

The market visit was nice but we weren't purchasing things for the cooking class . It would have been good if we were. We got to choose what we wanted to cook . initially i though this was a good idea but really I think it hinders the time available for the instructor to spend explaining each dish and attending to people. The instructor spent a lot of time dashing person to person quickly telling them what they needed to do next. We were given a plate of pre prepared ingredients and did a bit of minimal chopping. The spice pastes were pre made. It would have been good to make them from scratch . So really we were just putting together a dish that was already half made and not really learning about them in depth. I personally prefer a more detailed cooking class. I feel I didn't learn much. May be good for beginners. Although ; the food was nice

This experience was fantastic from the moment our driver picked us up! Our teacher (Ms King!!) showed us around the market and explained everything and answered our questions too. When we got to the cooking school, the facilities and team were so nice, and Ms King continued teaching us with Thai techniques and tips. We loved that we could choose our dishes so we both learned different recipes and then had a feast to share! We left with full bellies and great big smiles. And we have the recipes and skills to relive the meals when we get home!

Phuket Thai Cooking Academy was wonderful! My husband and I attended the morning session which was really nice as there were only 2 couples which allowed a more individual attention. We really appreciated that Ploy was able to make slight adjustments to our dishes (spice, sweet and sour levels) to our personalized taste! This was a great experience.

This market tour and cooking class was my birthday gift for my friend. It was wonderful. The instructor and staff were so competent and delightful and it made the experience really enjoyable. Our food was not only delicious and fun to cook, my friend said it was her most favourite Thai food ever! Thanks to this great team, my friend had a brilliant birthday. I was delighted also because everything was made vegan at my request and it turned out beautifully. It was a great morning.

This was an outstanding experience, the tour of the fresh market was great, the instructors were knowledgeable and very accommodating to all the participants. We were really impressed by the kitchen and dining areas and equipment, I recommend this activity to everyone who visits Phuket.

This is very much a hands on experience. Each person has their own workspace and burner. The ingredients are prepped but you still have some work to do. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful

Had a memorable experience with the team. Our cooking instructor and assistant was very helpful and friendly. The whole program went really smoothly. 2 vans picked us up at our hotel and they were on time. We went for a quick visit at the afternoon market and cooking instructor showed us around and shared with us some the common ingredients used for Thai dishes. Then there was another 20 mins drive to the the actual cooking class. The main gathering area was air-conditioned and there were welcome drinks and snacks. Additional drinks were available for purchase. Cooking class was in a separate room, enough fans to cool us down during the hot weather! Instructions were clear and the facility was generally clean as well. We got to cook and eat our own dishes at the end of the program. Really easy and fun experience with colleagues. Would recommend for team-bonding sessions or couples who want to learn to cook simple thai dishes!

Nil was fantastic! We really enjoyed the whole experience, from the market tour to the cooking class. Nil also helped us pick out items we wanted to purchase from the market separately, and it was great to have her help us talk with the vendors in Thai. Her cooking instructions were very clear, and the teaching class makes the prep easy. Fun activity to do with your group.

We lucked out and had a private class, because no one wants to get out of bed early while on vacation! Totally enjoyed everything about this tour, we visited the local market and sampled many fresh fruits, we had an opportunity to purchase local treats etc. The food was delicious and very easy to prepare and take your new skills home.

The market trip and the cooking class were excellent. I'm disappointed because I called Viator before booking to check to see if pickup from my resort. I was told it was so I booked. I was then told it would be 400 Thai bhat for transportation. Since it was a rainy day, I reluctantly agree to pay even told I was told by Viator that my resort was covered. Imagine my surprise after cooking class to be billed 800 thai bhat. I was pointed to the word pax in emails. I had no clue that is what pax meant. In the US, we use pp meaning per person. Again, market trip and class were great. Viator giving me misinformation ... not so much.

Fantastic morning class. Best thai i have tasted and surprisingly cooked by me. Great instructors very helpful. We shared the different dishes and there was more than enough for everyone. You can take away the leftovers. Highly recommended.
