Pick up from hotel was on time and took around 20min to destination. Meeting the Elephant's was amazing the guide provided lots of information about each elephant and also detailed of facts about the elephants and how the reserve operated. There was enough time given to watch the elephants feed, play, graze in their setting. You were able to get up close to the elephants and also feed them. It was a magical experience that I will never forget and would recommend visiting this sanctuary

I had such an amazing experience visiting an elephant sanctuary in Phuket, Thailand! 🐘 It was honestly one of the highlights of my trip. The elephants were so gentle, beautiful, and clearly well cared for.
What I loved most was how ethical and respectful the sanctuary was—no riding, no pressure on the animals, just a safe and natural environment where they can roam freely. You really get to see their personalities shine.
Feeding them and being up close was unforgettable. It felt so special to connect with these incredible animals in a way that puts their well-being first. The staff were also super kind, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do.
If you’re visiting Phuket, I 100% recommend adding this to your list. It’s not just a fun experience—it’s meaningful and something you’ll remember forever 💚🐘

This tour is really great. The caretaker we were with was very kind and led us to pet and take photos with the elephants, then feed them, then watch them mud bathe. My only issue with the tour is some issues with transportation. I hadn’t realized our hotel was over an hour away from the site (which was my bad) which did require an extra fee. Our pickup was okay but on dropoff, the driver needed to clarify our address with us after we had already been driving for ten minutes. The ride is also pretty bumpy. I would make sure to check that you pick an elephant sanctuary that is close to your hotel so that you don’t spend too much time in transit.

The elephant experience itself was amazing! Can't fault it such a beautiful place.
However, the vehicle that picked us up and dropped us off barely had working seat belts in the vehicle, my son's seat belt wouldn't retract and my seat belt was barely working.
If a vehicle is going to be used for pick up and drop off I do think the minimum requirement should be working seatbelts.

Great tour. Nice tour guide and good information. Pick up and drop off at hotel in a vehicle, 8 person van with AC. Bathrooms at the reserve. Got great pics with the elephant. Touched them and fed them.

Great morning with the elephants. They are friendly and calm as you take pictures and let them. After you feed them a snack which is so fun, they really like being around people. As you conclude watching them relax in the pond it’s as if they are just big pets.

Amazing experience, have done a few elephant sanctuarys before in other parts of Thailand and this was our favourite one..you can really tell the elephants are the priority and the guests follow their lead not the other way round. Our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly too.

From what I’ve read online was a bit apprehensive about paying to visit elephants in captivity. However, with only 4 rescued elephants roaming around as they like, it was brilliant. The guide, One, was very informative, explaining in detail the elephants journey to the sanctuary. You can get up close and also feed them, but no washing riding etc. about as natural as you can expect for elephants that due to their previous lives, can now live out their time without having to pander to the wants of needy tourists.

I really enjoyed interacting with the elephants. Hearing about how they came to the rescue centre and have been cared for since their arrival. Beautiful animals so smart. We were able to follow them through their routine. Eating in the fields, when the keeper said it was time for some bananas they headed straight to the shelter area excited to get their sugar cane and bananas. We were able to feed them. Then they went off to the water and cool off. Then they had to go to the mud/dirt area to dirty themselves again. It was very cool to see and learn about them.

Wear trainers as you are walking over some rough terrain, wear a hat as there not a lot of shade. Make sure you have plenty of memory in your phone as you will want to take a lot of photos.

What an amazing morning. Pick up from the hotel was prompt. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable.
The ladies themselves were just amazing. We walked to meet them, they were in their element munching on natural vegetation.
When escorted back for snacks, water and a bath, they were not rushed and were able to stop as they wanted for extra food.
Afterwards, they took a mud bath and made their way for more snacks.
These ladies were so gentle and had a keeper on a one to one relationship.
This sanctuary does not offer bathing with the elephants or riding with them, which is why we chose them.
The elephants could choose if they were touched and came to us when they wanted, which is how it should be.
The fridges were stocked with complementary soft drinks and water and the bathrooms were spotless. All in all, a perfect morning. Would definitely recommend

Wear washable shoes as will be walking in mud and returning to taxi that bought you there . Donations go towards animal food and vet care. Well worth the money to be up close to these majestic animals.

What a great morning we had with the elephants,after we missed our transfer to the sanctuary due to me getting the time wrong the sanctuary owner contacted me to reassure us that we could still attend even if we were late,once we arrived at the sanctuary we were greeted and shown to the elephants and their mahouts they introduced us to the elephants then they walked to have a bath we then fed them and then we viewed them in their natural habitat living their best lives being cared for,great morning highly recommend

This was a great experience to be up close with the elephants but in their own environment, there is no elephant rides or bathing with them here, this is a sanctuary and they are well cared for. We got to see them being fed, bathing themselves and learn all about these amazing creatures. At the end we were able to help feed them a treat (bananas & sugar cane), really enjoyed this experience.

Definitely one for the bucket list. The Elephand Reserve is a great sanctuary for these majestic animals. There's something about being close and being able to touch these very powerful but gentle animals. The reserve takes care of the elephants, which at one point has gone down in numbers. The elephants are fee to roam this place, eat, and play. Each elephant has at least a caretaker that attends to their needs.
In this reserve, the elephants are not ridden by visitors... but we were able to interact with them, touch, take photos, and feed them. The tour guide tells the story of each elephant and how they got to the reserve. This have been a very wholesome experience for all of us.
