This is a tour that is very good, but each section you need to be wary you are not with a group from start to finish of the day. The group tour starts on the island at the train station

Very good overview of Rottnest Island history, flora and fauna and land features. Well informed guide lunch was tasty. We were provided with water and given the opportunity to use restroom facilities.

An amazing tour, with so much info about the island. Lunch was lovely and would do the tour again, great

A full day at Rottnest Island with amazing weather! Great views, turquoise waters, and the highlight—meeting the quokkas. Truly a memorable experience.

That the ferry ride can be very choppy. And viator service as a booking agent stinks, bypass viator and book direct with the tour company. I will never use viator again.

This tour included a pick up and drop off to a nearby hotel which was super convenient! The train trip and guided tour of the World War 2 gun and tunnel site was excellent and gave insight into the past. There was also a bus tour of the island and our guide gave us informative commentary and highlighted points of interest along the way. A great trip for first time visitors to Rottnest Island!

Well-organised tour which gave us a lot of information about the history and features of Rottnest. The tour guide for the bus trip around the island (Jason) was the most knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide we’ve ever had on a guided tour in the past 20 years!

Really good experience, Rottnest Island is definitely worth seeing. I only wish we had a few more photo stops along the bus tour.

Thoroughly enjoyed this all inclusive full day tour of Rottnest Island. Loved the hotel pick up and drop off as I didn't have to think about anything! Rotto is a must see - such a unique island with so much interesting history, flora and fauna. Light lunch was delicious, ample time for photos and rest, staff all very helpful.

Fun filled day with lots of activities and sightseeing . The ferry ride Rottnest island is terrific, the tour started early before lots of visitors arrived at the island . Loved the Battery excursion, train ride and sightseeing .

The tour offered was on an air conditioned coach. After alighting the ferry there were no directions on getting to a designated railway which, when found, was over 400 meters from the ferry. I am on crutches and struggled in the excessive heat to make the train departure. On arrival at the train a lady tour guide who had pulled up in a golf cart with a sign on top showing it was for disabled travelers explained to me that had she known I could have gotten a lift from her, all I had to do was contact her. If only there was some sort of communication about this, I was left feeling that it was somehow my fault that I did not know all this. Then we got the train to it's destination and we walked another very steep 40-50- meters to a gun battery. Then my favorite guide arrived again telling us to walk back down the hill another 100 or so meters to finally get on the promised air conditioned bus. The light lunch was a wrap but OK. The bus did manage to drop us near where there were two Qualls for a minute or two. The bus dropped us back somewhere in the village precinct and thankfully not quite as far away from the ferry as the train station. The bus pick up and drop off at Perth gave the impression that it would be near or even at your own hotel but not the case at all. Not as advertised and not impressed.

Great trip, well organized, great guide. A bit confusing as to we’re to find the departure point at first and at lunch facility to wipe down tables or table cloths would have been good.

Rottnest is beautiful with a stunning coastline
I highly recommend the Grand Island tour, we saw every inch of the stunning coastline from the comfort of the air con coach.

Loved seeing all the different beaches on Rottnest Island.
The train was not running so we had a full bus to take is around the island. Although the bus driver had tons of knowledge, the entire day, almost was spent riding a bus. There was very little time after the tour for a look at the shops or get an ice cream. Did get to see quite a few quokkas. The ride on the ferry was one of the most enjoyable parts of the day.

The boat ride was an experience for sure.
The train and bus was great too, but the our tour guide lady was fantastic.

Wonderful day trip with very knowledgeable tour guides , Glen on the coach .
Saw beautiful sights and learnt about the history of the island.and the quokkas were amazing , some with babies
Therese_R, Jun 2024
Seeing the Quockkas, although you don't have to do a tour, they are all around the main part of town.

Train not working, very limited time at points of interest or bus did not stop at points of interest.

Once on Rottnest Island and on the Grand Guided Tour the whole thing worked like a dream and was thoroughly enjoyable.
The Oliver Hill Train and commentary were great fun. The tour around the gun emplacement and knowledge of the volunteer guides was excellent and the 90 minute bus tour around the island was very informative. Lunch provided was a chicken wrap and water, very tasty and very pleasant. Overall a great experience.
I would like to see some advice about where to collect Grand Guided Tour programmes and packs from before boarding the bus and some advice on where to go when we land. Not enough clear signage when on the island to various tour bus/train locations and lots of people frantic about tours etc. Planning could have been so much better organised.
But overall a great trip, with some real highlights - and yes once you see one Quokka you will then spot loads of the friendly creatures.

The train, meal and tunnel tour were great. I wasn’t impressed with the buss and hopped off once we got back to the settlement. The tour bus was loud and it’s too beautiful of a location to just watch from a window. Good for folks with ambulatory issues.
neil_h, Apr 2024
Good guide gave lots of information about the island. Great tour of island seeing many locations. Recommend this tour as there is so much to see and learn.
Mat_H, Apr 2024
Got to see a lot of the island. Lunch was nice. Great day. The guides were very informative and I would recommend this grand tour.

Unforgettable trip. I’m glad that I chose the bus tour which easier for my elderly parents. Love the train ride too with great views. Our tour guide make sure that we are able to take picture with Quokka. Nice and healthy lunch. My son love how they arrange outdoor lunch with amazing view. While we were eating, our tour guide shared the stories about Rottnest. Really appreciate it and highly recommended.

Lovely day for boat trip, island has interesting history, narrow gauge railway, cute quokkas, delicious packed lunch
Kathy_P, Feb 2024
This trip was not properly described online. It involved significant walking, climbing stairs, going into tunnels and climbing uneven staircases. We spent 1.5 hours of a 3 hour trip at the WW2 gun placement site, which only got a tiny mention on the list of things to do. We travelled partly by train - again not mentioned. We were picked up from our hotel at 7.40am for a 10am ferry ride?????? We got back to our hotel at 6.30pm!!! This was not a 3.5 hour trip.
Terry_G, Feb 2024
Very well organized tour. Highly recommended. Saw Quakkas around bakery and in the wild. Good that we didn't bike. It is very hilly for biking, especially in the Heat! Glad the tour was by bus!
Ellen_H, Dec 2023
The day was great but would have liked to be warned about all the steps at Oliver Hill. The ferry ride and bus around the island were great.
debbiep, Dec 2023
Great day out. The tour was very well organised, from pick up to drop off.
Our day on the island was fantastic.
Would definitely recommend.
ANGELA_C, Nov 2023
A great trip from start to finish. All travel arrangements went well and saw a lot of the island, especially the WWII tunnels which were very interesting along with the train ride. Lunch was good with water provided. Only down side was we only saw one Quokka. Weather was brilliant. Hint: if possible don't go at the weekend, its very busy.

This is a good tour but needs improvement. It’s not actually what I was expecting. After morning pick up, we were told to make our own way to the island from jetty. Once arrived at island no one greeted, had a hard time finding tour bus. Too long time spent on historic site, rushed through rest of the tour and no time to visit lighthouse. No guidance to go back to ferry, find your own way. It’s not that hard, however it maybe difficult for older people requiring assistance. Overall, it’s a good tour with lovely tour guide but organising needs to be improved for customer convenience.
