This was an excellent tour of Roland Garros. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable & happy to answer any questions the group had. You’re given access to court Philippe-Chatrier, locker rooms, press area & trophy room. The shop is also worth a visit. I would highly recommend this tour even if you’re not a tennis fan!

My husband liked it but he knew nothing to start with

Jane_K, Jul 2026
Very disorganized as to where the meeting place was. The group was too big to get close to anything. We only saw one venue, not three. Especially wanted to see the greenhouse.

Excellent tour of Roland Garros

As a life long tennis fan, this was far behind my expectations! Seeing so many elements close up was amazing, and as a Nadal fan, seeing where he got ready, the press room, statue and museum was icing on the cake. Would highly recommend this tour! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about TG and tennis overall.

Interesting. Guide was very informative and had a good sense of humor. Glad we chose to take this tour.

Great tour of the hallowed grounds of Roland Garros

spinweil, Dec 2025
Very in depth behind the scenes tour at the mecca of clay court tennis. Great insight by the tour director to give us the chance to experience what it is like for journalists, players and everyone working to make Roland Garros one of the if not the greatest Grand Slam event. Brought my Vilas wood racquet that won the title in his magical 1977 run in Paris. Also seeing my dad’s HS teammate Tony Trabert’s name on the stairs by the court entrance was a big thing for me. Highly recommend this as part of anyone’s trip to the City of Lights.

Great overview experience...

Great overview experience of Roland Garros. Even though the weather was cold still got a good sense of the tournament, and the career of Rafa Nadal.

Rewind Roland Garros

Troy_B, Aug 2025
It was so exciting to see behind the scenes at RG. We had attended the tournament two years ago, so to see what happens and where it happens behind the scenes afterwards was the way to go! Although we prefer the stadium/grounds when the tournament is up and running, it was very nice to see what goes on after it. Our tour guide was informative, friendly and allowed us to take our time seeing what we wanted to see. I would recommend.

Rocky start but all turned out okay.

Lisa_D, Jul 2025
Very chaotic getting started. The confirmation says show up 15 mins early and go into gate 36. The guard at gate 36 knew nothing about the tour and said wait here. No one came to get us after waiting 20 mins and it was now 5 mins before the tour start. So we go into the gift shop where the gal in the store said wait in the gift shop lobby. At 2 mins after the tour was to on start the tour guide shows up. Turns out she was out there the whole time with us and said nothing even though it was clear we were trying to figure out what to do. Kind of strange. Once the tour got started it was all fine. Just odd way to start. Information signs are not used much here in France.

Rafa pilgrimage

Great experience for tennis enthusiasts especially Rafa fans. Guide would benefit from a passion for tennis.

Weakest tour of our stay

Ian_S, Jun 2025
Our guide arrived late and seemed very uninterested the whole time. He is from Brazil, and did not even catch his name. He did not try to engage with any of the people taking the tour, and did not point out a lot of interesting things on the property that we seem to notice on our own. The tour was marketed as an hour and 30 minutes and ended up being about an hour and 10 minutes total. Very disappointing, but Roland Garros is quite impressive nonetheless.

Awesome tour of Roland Garros

Ellis_L, Apr 2025
It was pretty fantastic. We got to tour Chartrier stadium, the locker rooms, press rooms, and even step on the clay surface. That last part was not officially allowed but our guide did not object when some of us did it. He told us some good stories about Nadal, Federer, Graf, etc. The most difficult part was finding the start of the tour. There are no signs outside the campus about where to go. Google maps will lead you to a side entrance of the campus with no directions about how to proceed. The security guard there gave us a hard time when we told him we needed to go to the gift shop to start our tour. Also remember to use the bathroom one last time at the end of the tour. Once our guide left, the same security guard wouldn’t let us go back to the stadium to use the bathroom and there are none in the gift shop. We had to go across the street to the public bathrooms in the garden. You also get a 10% discount on merchandise in the gift shop. We probably spent too much money there but short of flying back for the French Open, that’s the only opportunity to buy French Open merch.

Fascinating tour

Lois_R, Apr 2025
Our tour started, late; also the ticket through Viator didn’t make it known that there were group A and B. No fault to tour operator.

Seeing Roland Garros up close
