Itinerary

Following pickup at your hotel in Ocho Rios, Montego Bay or Trelawny, board a comfortable coach for the trip to Nine Mile.

Drive through the rugged mountainous beauty of Jamaica's interior until you reach the parish of St Ann, where Nine Mile is located. The father of reggae, Bob Marley, was born and spent his early life here. Walk through the village with your expert guide, learning about Marley's life as you explore. Visit Mt Zion Rock, Bob's meditation spot, and see the ‘pillow’ made famous in the song ‘Talking Blues.’ Enjoy a traditional Jamaican lunch before continuing to Dunn's River Falls.

With the help of your guide, hike to the top of Dunn’s River Falls. These terraced waterfalls cascade 600 feet (180 meters) down smooth rocks, ending up at a beach and sundeck. As you make your way to the top on a moderate hike, stop and swim in the refreshing rock pools. When you reach the top, admire breathtaking views of the Jamaican scenery below.

After a full day of exploring, you'll be transferred back to your hotel for drop-off.

Dunns River is a work out. Your guide will help you but you have to be aware of where your next step is. Bob Marley was good except.all the shops closed befofe we were were done the tour. The luminous lagoon was amazing. Well worth it.

Only 40 mintues at Dunns and then kicked out because we arrived 1 mintute before the gates locked! Got the same meal for lunch and dinner, and dinner meal was microwaved before our eyes!!! Awful!

Great climb to the top

Unforgettable Day in Jamaica – Great Tour with a Few Tips!

We booked the Jamaica Combo Tour: Dunn's River Falls and Bob Marley’s Nine Mile, including the optional Luminous Lagoon add-on, and overall, it was a fantastic experience! Hotel Pickup & Tour Overview: Our day started with a prompt hotel pickup around 8:30 AM—we were the second stop, and a few more guests were picked up after us. Mr. Washington, our bilingual tour guide, did an excellent job keeping everyone informed and comfortable throughout the day. He made the experience fun and seamless. Stop 1 – Souvenir & Rum Shop: Our first stop was a souvenir shop that also offered free alcohol samples. I highly recommend trying Sangster’s Coconut Jamaica Rum Cream—it's delicious on its own and even better over ice. Definitely worth purchasing a bottle to bring home! Stop 2 – Dunn’s River Falls: Next, we visited the famous Dunn’s River Falls—and it was truly amazing! When you first see the waterfall, it’s hard to imagine making it to the top, but the guides are so helpful and encouraging. There are plenty of rest stops and chances to swim or slide along the way, so don't worry about getting too tired. I wore water shoes for the entire tour, and they were perfect for this part. Stop 3 – Lunch at Mongoose Restaurant: After the falls, we stopped for lunch, which was included in the tour. The food was decent, but I wish there was an option to request white or dark meat, and personally would’ve preferred dark. Stop 4 – Bob Marley’s Nine Mile Tour: From there, we made our way to Nine Mile. The drive up into the mountains was beautiful, and the tour itself was very interesting. We got to walk through Bob Marley’s childhood home and final resting place, visit Mt. Zion Rock, and learn more about his life from our guide. Be prepared—this is a full-day experience, and by this point, we were definitely feeling it! Stop 5 – Dinner & Luminous Lagoon (Optional Add-On): Since we had added the Luminous Lagoon to our tour, we continued on after Nine Mile for dinner and the lagoon experience. Dinner was served family-style at Joe James Gallery. The setting by the sea was lovely, but again, I got white meat (lol) and overall, the food was just okay. The Luminous Lagoon was our final stop. The entrance area felt like a small nightclub that also sold food, but once you walk through to the dock, it becomes all about the lagoon experience. You don’t have to swim—it’s optional—but by that point, we were just too exhausted to get in, even though it looked really cool. We got back to our resort around 9:30 PM, making it a 13-hour day. Final Thoughts & Tips: This tour is packed with amazing stops and gives you a chance to experience the real Jamaica beyond the resort. I’d definitely recommend it to others—but keep in mind, it’s a long day. If you're staying at a nice resort and want some time to relax, consider skipping the lagoon add-on and doing it on a separate day. We wish we had, just so we could fully enjoy it. All in all, it was a great adventure—fun, informative, and a true highlight of our trip to Jamaica!

A great trip from start to finish. Our guide Rolando was both friendly and very knowledgeable. He even went out his way to get a bottle of water for one the guests that didn’t have a drink with them a credit to the company and the travel industry. Would highly recommend this tour to everyone.

Experience was okay, we did the excursion without the lagoon and I feel like it was more then enough things to do. Additionally the driver could’ve used more entertainment in the bus it got pretty tiring and slow at some points. As for the falls, be prepared it’s a lot of climbing then expected and the Bob Marley experience was great.

This company uses third party tours companies in Jamaica which they have not vetted. The Holiday Tour Company hired by Viator for the Dunn's River Fall and Bob Marley's Nine Mile Tour was one hour late arriving for pick-up without any notification. The tour driver could not speak English and had difficulty communicating. Then the raggedy tour bus broke down and we never made the Bob Marley Nine Mile Tour! smdh

The most memorable part of this trip was a few things I rated this trip at three for a few simple reasons not saying all of the trip was bad however, the dinner at the end of the trip was horrible and if you aren’t the type of person that can stay in a car for long periods of time going through bumpy and windy roads without feeling nauseous. I wouldn’t recommend you taking this trip, if I knew how long the travel would be, I probably would’ve done each excursion individually Having so many excursions in one day is a lot for even younger people to take and you are feeling rushed through each excursion.

Best day in Jamaica

Definitely the best day that we had in Jamaica! Our guide and driver Tony was awesome. We had great conversation all day and learned a lot. The tour goes from Pickup to Dunns Falls, lunch, 9 mile, optional dinner, Lagoon, then back to hotel. 9 mile was our favorite and a magical experience to appreciate all things Bob Marley. Definitely pay extra to do the dinner and lagoon. The fire show was amazing and the bio bay was the best we've experienced. Make sure you swim in it to get the full experience. You can't swim in some other bio bays. All in all even though a long full day, it was an incredible day! Tony was great, the excursions were great, don't hesitate to book!

Dunn river falls was amazing highly recommend this; Bob Marley tour was great learned lots try the bush tea. then things went south with regards to Mystic lagoon they did not order our dinner so the restaurant would not serve us, The tour driver stopped at KFC so we could get food this was a nightmare it took over an hour to get food we arrived so late to the lagoon that we only had about 10 minutes to swim we were both so mad for what tis tour cost we were completely disappointed. we would like someone to contact us with regards to a refund.

This was the most terrible experience! I came from Texas w/my family for a Christmas vacation. I booked this trip two weeks prior to our arrival just to get cancelled on by Holiday Services Ltd the day before our activity “due to holiday traffic” had to rebook through another company to see 100’s of people. Sad! & then had to contact Viator through email on my international vacation to get a refund processing. Absolutely no help or assistance from Holiday services Ltd! Never again or will I refer anyone!

Dunn’s Falls was stunning and we didn’t realize we would be hiking from the beach up the falls to the top.. challenging at times with the rocks underwater but our guide was entertaining and helpful. Bob Marley’s 9 Mike museum is out there but worth the rustic drive. Jesse our tour guide and driver was an amazing driver, pleasant and very professional. We had a wonderful experience with the entire day! Would highly recommend this!

Perfect trip

Entire trip was wonderful! Rolando our tour guide and driver pick us from the hotel and at each destination make sure that we have passes to enter attraction. Rolando was very knowledgeable and share with us Jamaican stories. Dunn’s Falls, nine Mile and Mystic Lagoon are places to see. We enjoyed every moment of this trip. We recommend it very strongly!

Bucket list item...lots of driving & BUMPY

My son is very happy to have visited Bob Marley's place...it was on his bucket list. We all enjoyed the fall and the luminous lagoon. The restaurant was very nice to exchange my husband's plate for a non spicy dish since he can't tolerate any hot spices. However, we had no idea how much driving there would be. The driver drove very fast, the majority of roads were extremely bumpy, the rest were smooth to very bumpy. The driver jerked the vehicle to avoid bumps because he was driving so fast. We are missing a sun dress we bought for our granddaughter. It was under the far back seat before 9 mile but was not seen after. We could not hear the driver when he was explaining where we were during our trip. The van was extremely cold. The restaurant told me the 3 bottles of water i bought would cost $6 but they charged me $9 on my credit card. We arrived back at our hotel after all the restaurants and stores had closed so we could not get something to satisfy our hunger.

Very long day out

Dunns river falls is a must…I’d say probably a bit challenging for over weight or unfit people, but if you’re reasonably fit, go for it! Oh and you will get wet. 9 mile is bit of a trek in the bus, and to be honest if you’re not a huge Bob Marley fan I wouldn’t bother.. basically a tour of where he was born and his tomb.. not much memorabilia and they take every opportunity to get you to hand over your cash, you won’t get out of this one without tipping or buying some over priced trinkets The luminous lagoon, was amazing, and well worth the trip out at night. The day trip includes food and a stop at an over priced gift shop. The food is basic at best.. rice and beans on both meals , jerk chicken then BBQ chicken served with a sickly sweet fruit punch, any other drinks are extra. Over all an enjoyable day out , but a very long one, would I recommend you go? Yes, but be prepared with additional snacks , drinks and be prepared to add an additional $100 for tips and extras

Pros and Cons the Real Deal

I will the pros and the cons of this trip: Pros: Dunns Falls is beautiful, and I would highly recommend. The climb was not super difficult, and the water was so fresh! Our trip to Bob Marley's 9 Miles was okay, our tour guide did entertain us but over it was just okay. The Mystic Lagoon was cool, and I would recommend, but as separate tour. The food was food at both restaurants. I enjoyed the company of the other tourist. Cons: THIS TOUR IS LONG!!!! This tour takes more like 12 hours not 9. I was ready to leave the tour after the Bob Marley tour. Each location is about an hour or more apart which makes the drive around long. I felt like we were in the car longer than we are doing the activities. I was not prepared for how long this tour was. Secondly, the souvenir stop was expensive. I found the same gifts at other locations for way cheaper. During the Bob Marley tour my family encounter discrimination. My sister purchased items from the tour guide for a higher price than everyone else. I had to step in and confront the workers about this in which they did not argue back which lets me know it was done on purpose. Also, this was not the only time my family was pressured to pay a higher price than everyone else during out time on this tour. We were uncomfortable and we were very offended. Please fix this ASAP. Overall, I would not do this trip all in one day. I would do each activity separate. Also, I more than likely would not go back to the Bob Marley's tour. It was not that worth it in my opinion on top of the fact that we experience the discrimination there.

Dune Falls and Bob Marley I would give a 4.5 out of 5 Stars. Make sure you bring water shoes for dune falls because if you don't you will have to buy water shoes there ($20 per person and $10 for a locker). If your not the best climber I would not recommend doing this activity due to the high level of water pressure and slippery rocks. Bob Marley museum was absolutely great! However at the end of the tour the tour guide blocks the exit and asks for tips...

I had a trip planned they emailed me Advising trip minimum 2 travelers , day before no statement of this when booking and won’t give me money back $199 emailed numerous times. Even states will offer refund if not minimum met. Legal matter. If you can please refund me all my money and email me back.

What a great tour of the different sites of Jamaica and magical ending with the optional mystic lagoon experience. The food wasn't quite authentic, basic American food, and it was quite a long day due to travel to the sites but it was a memorable experience never to forget.

Good BUT room for improvement

Dunn's Falls is a great experience. Be prepared to get wet. It's a semi challenging hike. Moses is a good guide. Bob Marley's Nine Mile is good. I had some tea. No prescription needed for sensi. My driver tries to rip me off. Get it on the tour. Mystic Lagoon isn't all it's hyped up to be. The water hardly turns blue apart from the motor. The lunch and dinner could be a lot better. The package comes with the beyond basic menu options from the restaurants.
