We had an excellent day with our driver, Wayne! We would highly recommend Jacques Tours to anyone. I didn’t want to miss the iconic Dunn’s River Falls or the Blue Hole, but I had seen photos of massive lines of people and did not want to be herded off of a bus just to climb up the falls in a line of people and be herded back onto the bus. The private tour was well worth the money for a peaceful day at our leisure!
We didn’t realize on arrival that our ship had arrived a half hour early, and so did Wayne! He wanted to make sure we had time to see everything we wanted to see. The information staff called him on arrival with no delay, so no need for a local SIM.
Wayne took us to the Blue Hole, as he arrived before Dunn’s River even opened, and we were one of the first few people there, which was amazing. The local guide (not part of Jacque Tours) was extremely informative and helpful, and I was glad we had enough time for him to show us the local flora and fauna.
After the Blue Hole, we went to Dunn’s River Falls, where Wayne suggested the perfect amount of time for us to spend there (45 minutes longer than group tours). We did not want to climb up with a group and we were able to walk and swim in the falls at various points, take lots of pictures, and spend a good amount of time swimming and playing at the beach. I felt badly for the groups who were brought down the stairs and spent absolutely no time at all at the lovely beach.
Prior to the tour, I had inquired about the possibility of adding a stop, depending on how we (particularly the kids) felt after the first two stops. The owner replied to my messages in just minutes and was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to decide on the day of the tour whether or not to add another stop, for a very reasonable price. We ultimately decided not to add the third stop, but it was amazing to have the option with no pressure whatsoever.
If we ever return to Jamaica (and I hope we do), we would for sure go with Jacques Tours, as I can’t imagine a better experience!

Great communication. Everything exactly as advertised.
Our guide, Wayne, with Jacques Tours Jamaica, was the kindest, most helpful driver. When we arrived to the port from our Norwegian cruise ship and called, he arrived promptly. While all of the other cruise passengers were loading up on huge tour buses, we took off for Blue Hole. We arrived before everyone else and enjoyed the ENTIRE experience start to finish before anyone else even arrived. Cortney, our guide at the falls, took us through each pool and guided my 18 year old son who was jumping. He made sure to take photos of us at every stop, kept each one of us safe, and even carried my ten year old over some areas he was afraid to cross.
After that experience, we asked Wayne to take us to his favorite jewelry store to do some shopping, and he happily made a quick detour.
Next was Dunn’s River Falls, where he cut us loose to climb the falls alone, or with one of the guides there. Three of us climbed, while the fourth walked the adjacent path and took videos of us. We made it to the top! It was pretty physically demanding- you really need to climb and navigate some strong water currents. Note that if you forget your water shoes, there are vendors selling them for $15 at the port right as you arrive, or you can even buy them super last minute at the falls itself. So if you forget shoes, don't let that keep you from going. My 18 year old insisted on doing Dunn’s with no water shoes “because they look stupid,” but it’s very slippery, and I wouldn’t recommend it. He struggled at times but made it fine. Wayne brought us back to port in more than enough time and we said our goodbyes.
Everything was truly fantastic, and I’d recommend Wayne, this Jacques Tours Jamaica, and this excursion without a bit of hesitation. Try it! Have fun!

Great experience. A bit more activity at the Blue Hole than we expected. It was advertised as a relaxing dip in the blue hole with cliff jumping and rope swings. It was a long hike through the jungle to a guided jumping and rope swing. No time to relax at all.

We've done lots of tours in Jamaica and this was by far our favorite. Our driver picked us up at our resort, and it was a quick trip to the falls. We arrived before the crowds and had the entire place to ourselves. We had the option to have a guide, but bypassed it to explore on our own. Every other time we've went with a large tour/group. We were able to hang out as long as we wanted before going to the Blue Hole, which was also great. If you want to see the falls, this is the way to do it!

We had THE BEST time on this excursion today at Dunns river falls and The Blue Hole. Jacques kept in communication providing us with all of the meet up and timing info. Our driver Wayne made our family of 8 with young kids feel very safe, watched over our belongings in the van while at the attractions, and even stopped at a Jamaican restaurant for us to have lunch. We loved riding with him. Wayne also hooked us up with the best guides at both of the attractions. The guides helped our family navigate the rocky terrain and physically challenging parts. They both also took tons of family photos and made our experience unforgettable!! Please tip these guides and drivers, we didn’t realize how much of an asset they would be before we started the tour, so plan to bring extra cash for guides at each of the places, as well as your driver.

From beginning to end, Jacques kept in constant contact with me, responded immediately to any questions or concerns, and runs a very organized tour company. Our guide Wayne was amazing! My sons loved his humor and all the interesting tidbits of information he provided throughout the drive. I have read tons of great reviews about Wayne and now I see why - he truly loves Jamaica and shares his enthusiasm with his guests! He took us to the Blue Hole first which was brilliant since we got there before the crowds! It was beautiful! But our family favorite was Dunn’s River - what an exhilarating experience we will all remember! We did it without a guide and managed just fine. For Blue Hole we were assigned 2 guides for our family of 4. After our tour, we asked if we could stop to buy some Jamaican local food to go and the Oxtail we got was delicious! Great time and tons of fun. Great photos and an experience my kids and I will always remember. The guides were great and very friendly, take care of them as that is how they make there living. Our driver was great, friendly and safe. He stayed with us and said we are on our time not his so take your time and enjoy everything.

This was the most memorable excursion of my trip! Dunn's River Falls was so much fun and beautiful. The beach next to the falls was warm and inviting. I would recommend this trip to everyone. Shout out to our Bus driver, Wayne; he was awesome, fun, friendly, and the best driver. I would book this driver anytime I go back to Jamaica.

We had a great experience touring the Blue Hole and Dunn's River Falls with Jacques Tours. There was great communications before the tour. Our ship docked at the undeveloped, secondary pier, but we were still able to find our driver Daron almost immediately. He was friendly and a very safe driver. Our family of four were the only people on the tour, which was nice. We first went to the blue hole, where a local guide took us up the falls to our first jumping spot. We made several jumps and a swing into various pools of water. The Blue Hole was nice and it was not crowded because we arrived early and before the other crowds. Next we went to Dunn's River Falls. The place was very busy, but Daron seemed to have connections and was able to get us our wrist bands and took us straight to the start of the climb without having to wait in large groups like the other tourists. The falls were beautiful, but extremely crowded. After completing the climb with a local guide, Daron was waiting for us when we exited the water and then took us safely back to the port. We really enjoyed the personalized service we received from Jacques Tours, especially when we saw the overwhelmingly large groups being herded on the bus tours. Highly recommend Jacques Tours and Daron as your driver.

We were met by our driver Wayne just outside the port exit. We had our own van for our family and no one else! Wayne drove us to Blue Hole first where we met our guide Xavier. We got there and it appeared they just opened because it was so peaceful with hardly any tourists! We loved that! He guided us up the falls, took photographs and videos with my phone that were fantastic!
Wayne then drove us to Dunn River Falls, assisted with getting our wrist bands and let us know when to meet at the van. Our family hiked up the falls on our own in record time as Wayne put it! Be aware of the people(vultures) who successfully conned us into buying wooden turtles for our children after they engraved our names in them. We didn’t see until later they attempted prior because we found another name on two of them. We requested jerk chicken on the way back so he made a special stop for us, unfortunately they wanted to charge us a fortune just for the chicken so we went back to our cruise ship. Wayne and the tour guide Xavier went above and beyond for us and it showed! We definitely recommend the tour, our entire family loved it!

It was an amazing experience all around. Our driver Wayne was so wonderful. At dunes our guide Moses was so great and kept us all safe and Javier at Blue Hole was so friendly, fun and knowledgeable. This is a must do experience for all ages.

Our driver was Wayne Buchanan. He came with a van on time to pick up just our family of four and drove us around for both tours. He gave us very good tour of the town of Ocho Rios, explaining everything on the way! Going to Dunn falls early in the morning was an amazing experience! No crowds at all! It’s once in a lifetime experience , everyone who’s in Jamaica should do it! Blue hole is for peeps comfortable in water and is so much fun. Wayne even took us to eat Jamaican jerk chicken at Scotchies, best chicken ever ! I highly recommend this tour - very personable, straightforward, safe and memorable! Thank you Wayne!
