Enjoy a mouth-watering tour around the town of Falmouth, sampling local specialties and Jamaican street food. As you walk through the downtown area, your guide will take you off the typical touristy streets and give you insights about the town’s food, architecture and history. You will visit approximately 5 to 7 authentic street vendors and local food shops where you will taste a variety of local foods and delicacies. Stops may include Monster Dwag (for jerk sausage), Jamaican beef patties, typical soup and porridge, jerk chicken, fruit stall, and a bakery specializing in sweet potato pudding. Finally, you’ll visit a local bar where you can sip on Jamaican rums or sodas. (Actual food stalls stop may vary based on the availability of the street vendors.)

Our journey starts with a drive into the heart of the city of Falmouth. Locals are known to "mek fashion" with whatever food is in season, so you'll get to sample a variety of dishes such as ackee (when in season) & saltfish, crab/lobster (when in season), Jamaican beef patties, chicken patties, coco bread and beef with red peas soup. Throughout the tour we will discuss the history of the food, it’s current relevance in our society and the ingredients and processes we use to cook. We’ll also make a stop at KFC to try the most popular American fast food hotspot that has been adopted by the Jamaican massive. Board your bus for a 30 minute drive to the outskirts of Montego Bay and the “Shops of Rose Hall”, situated across from the Rose Hall Great House. A stop of approximately 1-1/2 hours will give you a very relaxed, hustle-free, and easy-going shopping experience. On Main Street you will find a huge variety of high-end stores selling jewelry, diamonds and watches, all tax and duty-free. Amongst the many shops are also a wide variety high quality and unique hand crafted Jamaican products, as well as several clothing and souvenirs shops. Next is a lunch stop at Jamaica’s finest resort – Half Moon. You will be seated at the Sea Grape restaurant to indulge on the best cuisine that Jamaica has to offer with a memorable view of ocean. (Note – lunch cost is not included in the tour price. Restaurant location may change based on availability and bookings.) Time permitting there will be a final shopping stop on the return to the pier at a local souvenir store.
