JAY WAS A GREAT GUIDE.. He was friendly and informative. We had so much fun. Anyone visiting Jamaica should get Jay and SSJ Tours, they were the best price and value. They also were willing to take us to other sights we might even wanted to see. GREAT TIME

I don’t like to leave a bad review, however it was definitely not worth the money ($160). It was not much to it. There was nothing really to see and most of all it was less than 45 mins on the raft. We are really disappointed with this excursion.

Thank you for sharing with the world the experience you’ve had. First let’s get this clear, the raft guide informed me that you did not want to participate in anything else on the ride so you cannot say there’s nothing to do or see, please tell the people that you were not interested in these activities. The money you paid includes raft fees and transportation, no one rubbed you of your money. Tour duration in the description says 1 hour and 30 mins which includes transportation and raft ride time, it did not say raft ride is and hour and 30 mins. These reviews are misleading, travelers can ask questions when they are booking a tour and don’t fully understand the description

Rafting is worth the trip. Waited around 1/2 hour at port to get rest of group but we only two to do rafting. Shopping and local sights waste of time

All in all, we had great time on White River rafting. The distance is quite short, first upstream and then down. Our raft man, Lincoln, was super. Very hard working, and accommodating - would definitely recommend him. Wear flip-flops or aqua shoes as you are likely to get your feet wet. This experience can be easily fitted as a couple of hour activity.

The music playing on the raft set the tone, the guide giving us a small history chat about the white river and showing us blue crabs, and the massage which was the icing on the cake. Tour guide was just so pleasant. They made my kids swing on a tire. They had so much fun. I stopped and got some delicious conch soap as well. It was a great experience.

Great experience with SSJ Tours! On time hotel pick up and a lovely, peaceful cruise down the White River. Our rafter was friendly and stopped along the route to get us mangoes and shared local stories about the various flora and fauna. Highly recommend!

Best Experience Ever. Driver who picked us up as the hotel Jason was very friendly and accommodating. Our raft operator Cuban was very down to earth and made my sister and I feel extra comfortable.

We had an amazing time! The driver picked us up from our Airbnb and kept us entertained during the drive. The rafting itself was incredible! Our guide was funny and let us control the playlist. He gave us a brief history of Jamaica and didn't pressure us to stop at any of the vendors along the river unless we asked. Easily a 10/10 excursion.

Wear flip flops or something because you will get wet feet. Our guide told interesting stories and jokes. We have done a similar trip before on the Maryha Brae. Either are fun.

I was not told to bring small USD cash. It is memorable in that the captains of the bamboo rafts were excellent. The vendors were not. A photographer tried to charge us $80.00 for pictures, and one guy wanted $10.00 for a drinkable coconut. They are 3-5$ elsewhere.

My family and I loved the excursion!! Everything was an easy process. It included pick-up and drop-off. Jay was our driver and he was awesome! Sanjay was our rafting tour guide and we had so much fun with him. He took amazing photos and videos of us. He also put music and we were all vibing. The trip takes you to a beautiful beach and an opportunity to buy souvenirs from locals. Next time we go to Jamaica, we will do this again!!

This was a big disappointment compared to the one I did 5 years ago in Jamaica. The distance was too short and there was nothing to see on the route.

We enjoyed the river rafting but we were unable to choose the raft that we would have preferred...it seems that you have to pre-pay for the "nicer" rafts, which we didn't know about. Also, we did not like stopping on the small strip island for shopping at the locals' markets...maybe a food stop would be better or no stops at all...but the raft driver was nice...he let my husband try to drive the raft!

Everyone is so kind and respectful! Captain CJ was the best and Andre’s Tours took us there. His driving and expertise was great! The limestone massage is not included but it’s worth the $30! they take you to a mini private island where they take pictures and you can buy souvenirs

I just want to say this was the best experience ever from the pick up to the drop off! Jamoy was amazing he picked us up on time and got us to our excursion on time. Once we got there he did everything for us to get get started with our tour. Our tour took a little longer than expected but he waited and was so understanding. Jamoy even made a little detour for us to grab some souvenirs and one of the shops right outside our resort and then dropped us off. If you have the opportunity to book with him please do he is definitely a good time and I highly recommend him!!! Hey Jamoy I’ll see you again my friend

This tour was not what I was expecting and quite disappointing. The river ride was very short and beach we were taken was rocky and you could not swim

Jay was the best tour guide I have ever had in my entire life. He was knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and very pleasant to be around. Very professional and his vehicle was very clean. Bamboo rafting was so refreshing, I learned so much about the natural foliage and freshwater fish from Mr. Lloyd. Would recommend SSJ to anyone visiting Ocho rios for this tour or any other. 10/10. He was also very willing to take us to explore other parts of the city.
