This was an awesome tour! Private tour type of feel with someone who has lived in or around the area for a long time. Always good to know the in and outs of an area from a local. Made solid recommendations of things to do and eat to ensure we get the full cultural experience. This may be a little more pricey than some of the other options out there, but I can assure you it’s worth the money!!! You get what you pay for!!

Fantastic tour! We were a small group of 4 . Darius was our tour guide’ and it was as if we had a friend in town. He was born and raised in Nuremberg and he knows everything about his home town. The walk from the fortress to the cathedrals was pleasant, relaxed and at each stop Darius shared with us his knowledge of the history of this beautiful medieval town. He pointed out where to eat, to drink, to shop! He treated us for a sweet and then for a beer in a traditional brewery ! I highly recommend this tour with him! Bravo!!

Go early & stop for a pint & some food at Hexhausle - the adorable little meeting point at the castle. Darius was super outgoing, very informative, engaging & accommodating. We had no set plans when spending the day in Nuremberg so I booked this tour 4 hours before on the train in from Munich & the whole group of 6 were glad we did. Highly recommend completing this tour with Darius before any tours of the cellars to enhance your understanding of the mentioned artifacts & history. Some of the sights (bridges) were under construction, but we still got the story behind the area & locations. I do only wish the beer came more towards the middle of the tour instead of the end, but logistically made sense based on the walking loop. Overall fantastic experience that really made our day trip. Especially recommend if you only have 1 or 1 + 1/2 day in Nuremberg - you'll see just about everything in Old Town & get a great history lesson too.

Our group was three couples. Native Germans, Americans and a two nationality couple. Darius took time to explain and answer questions in two languages and offered some Romanian phrases as well. He was raised in Nuremberg and has many family and friends here and connections and recommendations outside the historical city area. His walking tour took time for breaks and he shared details that weren’t in the tourist brochures. We all recommend him as your walking tour guide, and he picked us up at the hotel near the train station and saved us a 20 minute walk uphill to the historical city entrance.
