Daniella was a wonderful guide and explained everything in detail. She made history very interesting and immersive. This walk tour is totally worth it! Cheers to Frankonia ( not Bavaria 😉)

Highly informative tour with an experienced local guide, Andreas knew Nuremberg’s history in great detail and was an entertaining guide. Highly recommend this tour.

We had an amazing experience on the Nuremberg walking tour with Daniella, a local native who was absolutely incredible. The tour started with a walk up to the castle, and Daniella made sure we paced ourselves with breaks so it wasn’t too tiring. Her knowledge of the city and her obvious love for Nuremberg made the tour engaging and fun.
The 2.5 hours flew by, and once we reached the castle, we had a 10–15 minute break to take photos or grab a drink, which was much appreciated. A lovely extra touch was the Google Map QR code she provided, highlighting locations recommended by her and other guides—perfect for exploring on our own afterward.
Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting a knowledgeable, personable guide and a well-paced introduction to Nuremberg!

My mother and I very much enjoyed this tour! It's actually a free tour through the city of Nuremberg, so I'm sure you can find that information online. Our tour guide, Dennis, was great-he had a lot of great information, pictures, and a passion for the city. We learned so much that we would have passed by had we not taken the tour. I wish it was about 30 minutes shorter, but still would highly recommend.

A great overview of Nuremberg. Provides great highlights regarding significant periods of Nuremberg history and covering food, drink, economy, trades, and culture. Alexandra was our guide and she was charming, friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. I was very impressed with her breadth of knowledge and enthusiasm for the arts as at pertains to Albrecht Durer (whom I had not heard of previously). Nuremberg is a bit hilly in parts and the walk to the castle could be strenuous but is well worth the views of the city! Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our tour with Tom. He is as knowledgeable and had a great way of delivering the information. We did climb the hill to the imperial castle , so be prepared. It is not far, but a bit strenuous for some. He pointed out the best places to get our photos which was really nice! Nuremberg has a lot of history, and these tours are a great way to get a feel for the city, and understand its past.

The tour guides were both amazing and the narrative was informative and at times funny. I had to spin off from the group halfway when we got to the castle because my cranky knee just couldn’t make the steep grade. I had already fallen behind with the hill before it so I made the executive decision to rest for a bit and started the trek back down. The tour, what I experienced, was great but if you have mobility issues you may struggle like me. I still give it 5 stars! Not their fault I couldn’t finish it.

We are so happy we took this tour. Alexandra was a perfect guide and very good to listen to. She took us on a historical journey and kept our interests. The tour started very punctual, was well timed and her information was thorough yet entertaining. I would definitely tour with her again without hesitation!

Andreas was interesting and engaging with a dry sense of humour. He was very knowledgeable and particularly interesting on WW2 history. It’s a steep walk up to the castle, so wear comfortable shoes!

This was a fantastic tour. It gave us the highlights of the old city & its history. Alexandria was very good and answered all questions, she also dealt with the dark history of Nuremberg with care.

For a free tour (plus tip, of course) it was a great value and experience. Great way to get a quick overview of the town and some of it's history.
Robyn_W, Aug 2025
Andreas gave a great tour - covering history of mostly the Middle Ages when Nuremberg was at its economic peak with trade and craftsmanship. We also got some inside little gems. He covered WWII with sensitivity. Highly recommend
Anya_T, Jul 2025
This is a rich fascinating tour of over two hours covering all eras of history and climbing steeply up into the castle. Guide Andreas was brilliant knowledgeable, sensitive to varied groups, witty. He brought along books of old photos before and after very high level of teaching.
Karen_M, Jul 2025
Andrew was the best tour guide. He truly knows and loves Nuremberg and shared his knowledge with us. 10/10!

We had a fantastic experience on the free walking tour of Nuremberg with Alexandra! She was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and brought the city’s rich and complex history to life with a perfect mix of facts, humor, and personal insight.
Alexandra was able to cover a wide range of topics—from medieval times to WWII and post-war reconstruction—while keeping the whole group interested and involved. Her storytelling made it easy to imagine how the city looked and felt across the centuries.
We also appreciated how approachable and friendly she was, always open to questions and clearly passionate about what she does.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Nuremberg—this tour gives you a deep appreciation of the city and its resilience, and Alexandra is the perfect guide to show you around!

Very informative and engaging tour of Nuremberg, with a local. So interesting to hear a local‘s perspective a few generations down the line. Photos to show what damage was done after WW2 to Nuremberg as well as the Golden Age history. Very intimate and personable trip, would recommend. X
Michael_L, Jul 2025
Loved our time with Andreas as he shared his knowledge about Nuremberg. He was quick to answer any questions as well.
Miriam_W, Jun 2025
Fantastic tour. Our guide shared his enthusiasm about Nuremberg with the group. The walk did entail some up and down hill walking on cobblestone so be prepared.
Yelena_Z, Jun 2025
Andreis was an experienced host and guide! He took his time with our group, accommodating the varying speeds of our walking (very helpful for me) in order to ensure we all were able to hear the thorough history. There was a good mix of information - from medieval times through the war years to contemporary experiences. The greater gift was that you could see how much he appreciated his city and history, which made the time even more enjoyable. Don’t pause, just take the tour!
