Stefan was a great guide, easy to chat with about sandwiches!
Our first was mouthwatering tasty, I savoured it all way to the next, washed it down with a great craft beer whilst drooling at the second one then finished off the third trying to work out which was the best!!

We loved the tour guy and his approach to the sandwich! He made the tour fun and interactive . Best of all the sandwiches were really good and he was a wealth of information on many things . I loved his love of a good sandwich!!!

I booked this for a quick day trip to the city on a whim as it seemed interesting from the description and absolutely enjoyed it. The tour was very interactive with discussions and discovered some great hole in the wall places I will happily return to on future city visits. Fantastic way to spend an afternoon!

Lots of fun with Tim on this tour! We were 5 high school/college girlfriends spending the day in NYC. Tour was super fun and great conversation about the sandwich! Loved being in the East Village and hitting some pubs to enjoy the awesome sandwich experience!

Absolutely excellent time! This was my second tour with Ben after doing his Brooklyn sandwich tour last year. The sandwiches were fantastic, Ben remains an awesome storyteller and I was still thinking about the sandwich debate a few days later. This was a great way to spend time in NYC and check out the East Village - will definitely be recommending it to friends who visit town.

My daughter and son-in-law brought me along for this experience as they have done it 3 times before. I had absolutely no idea that this would be one of the best ways to spend the afternoon in NYC! It was both FUN and DELICIOUS!!!

I’ve lived in NYC for 16 years and am a major sandwich enthusiast. A hand-held balanced meal! The flavor and texture symphony! The classic sandwich shop vibe! There were many years I had one for lunch every day, never tiring of the format, because it’s wonderfully versatile. In short, I am pleased to be something of a sandwich connoisseur.
Therefore, I was curious if this legendary local sandwich tour had any new spots or intel for me. I went in hoping to at least be entertained and meet fellow sandwich enthusiasts. (We are of solid, cheerful stock, I can now confirm.) It’s an excellent team adventure. I brought a couple friends, visiting from other cities. What I got was a fun, delicious educational journey with an expert host, a tour I actually want to do again and bring different sets of friends. We had a wonderful time. Ben immediately had us all laughing together, along with the other folks on the tour we had only just met (some of us exchanged info and will meet again).
To my surprise, I’d never heard of most of the tour stops. They were unique NYC gems, off the beaten path. And we had a generous sandwich portion at each: you have to arrive hungry or you will not be able to complete your mission of enjoying all the fabulous flavors along the way! Definitely do this tour, even if sandwiches aren’t your passion: you will learn to love them and also get a true taste of local NYC life. Ben is a natural host and ambassador to the whole city, but particularly the sandwiches that represent our fabulous melting pot.

Disappointing, more a tour suited for tourists who wanted to walk a small part of the city and the food was minimal (splitting small portions) and chain (Black Seed) or well known (burger) joints. In a city of limitless sandwiches, there weren't any "traditional" sandwiches or hidden gems to be found.

As a local I didn’t know what to expect taking a food tour in my home city but the New York Sandwich Tour was seriously amazing. It was something different and the most fun I’ve had in the city in a long time! All the sandwiches were delicious and the hotdog debate was good fun. Ben is a total natural, which made the 2 hours fly by. I highly recommended this tour!

This was by far the highlight of my trip in New York City. Ben is a class act host with an incredibly jubilant demeanor - I don't know how he is so positive! You will eat & grub - but most importantly - philosophize about the origins of "the sandwich" with other new friends. The key trait of Ben's tour is his ability to bring strangers together, break bread (no pun intended), and create outlasting connections. This is a MUST DO in NYC! What an amazing tour! Ben was super knowledgeable about the locations we visited, with the owners/chefs coming out at some locations to say hello to us and introduce the food. The sandwiches were all delicious and we loved the option to get a beer at spots along the way. Dropping stories about the history of the East Village between eating spots was also a very pleasant surprise and really took the tour to the next level Don’t hesitate to book this New York food tour now. 10/10!

Our host was lovely and super knowledgeable, we even met a few local characters along the way.
