This was a fantastic tour because my tour guide was a local from Naxos. Mario went to all the little towns where they all knew him. It was great because I was able to see some out-of-the-way little shops. I really felt like I got to see a lot of what the island is about. If you visit Naxos, this is a must do. Mario went out of his way to show off his home.

We were picked up by a nice knowledgeable young man in a new Mercedes-Benz. He could not accompany us to any of the historic sites because he was not a licensed tour guide, but rather just a driver for the company. You should know that if you booked this trip.

This is a great way to see the countryside and a few of the villages of Naxos. Although the Temple was closed as it was a day when museums are closed, Stamatis was accommodating and took us to the olive oil museum with tastings, a distillery and a church which was originally built in the 6th century. We would recommend this tour with Stamatis!
